Raven's POV***
As we continued our tour, I came to realize this underground palace is humongous. Like, well I can't really explain it other than it feels like a palace.
"So this place is pretty big." I replied as we walked into the game room.
"Yup. I bet I could kick your ass in GTA 5." He said as we entered the room. Flat screens were plastered on each wall, a game console of all sorts below each one. I found the ps 3, plopped myself down on the beanbag, and held the controller in my hands.
"Well, sure, make yourself cozy." Damon snorted as he sat down next to me. I rolled my eyes and paid no attention to him.
Throughout the hours, we gamed as though there was no tomorrow. We switched from GTA 5, to Call of Duty, Battlefield, Modern Warfare, Tekken and even wii games.
I forced my mind to stay focused on the games. That was all I could do. Escaping wasn't going to be easy, and if I left . . . my pack would be obliterated.
But the thought of Tyler constantly ran through my mind.
Fighting with him was stupid. Now I just wanted him back. And though I couldn't wait to say "I TOLD YOU SO SHITHEAD!", I just wanted to be in his arms. While one part of me hated the thought of me being dependent on someone other than myself and my wolf, another part of me wanted to depend.
When I had a family . . . or at least when I had parents I should say . . . we all depended on each other. For food, comfort, joy, and to console in when something was wrong. Too bad I ruined those chances that fateful day when I veered us off the bridge.
However, now knowing my brother was still alive, I wasn't sure how to feel.
He was different - that much I could tell. He didn't have that warm comedic look that he used to have 24/7. Now, he seems . . . cold and distant. If he missed me so much, why wasn't he the one showing me around? And he kept tabs on me - or so he said. Why not get me sooner?? He must've known the huge burden I kept on my shoulders because of what happened. Yet he was never there for me. I was there for myself.
So far, all Brent has been doing since I came here was remind me what I missed about either rogue life, or Tyler's mate life.
And now he orders me to marry Damon, some random guy that is highly perverted and also NOT Tyler? For once, I really don't know what to do.
"Hey, Raven..." Damon muttered, turning to me on the beanbag after we finished playing a mario cart game.
His tone was serious and low. His dark eyes were concentrated on me. I won't lie, he was really attractive. Any girl would be insane to not admit it. However, I was satisfied with the mate I had.
"What's up?" I asked in confusion. So far, the Damon I'd been with was all fun and games. Now what was up with this serious act?
"I know . . I know you have a mate. Alpha Tyler of Oakwood forest pack..." He started. My mood changed as I became defensive. Why was he bringing this up, and where was it leading to?
"What about him?" I growled.
"I just know this isn't exactly easy NOR what you had in mind when you first saw your brother." He replied, rubbing his hands through his hair. Hey, Tyler used to do that...
"No shit." I hissed.
"It's just, I feel like if you . . I don't know, gave this a chance," he pointed at himself then me,"Then you might find I'm not so bad." That familiar smirk appeared on his face.
I stared at him.
It wasn't a second later than we were both on the floor and I was in my white wolf hovering over him. My canines were showing as I snarled. My lips lifted as I continuously growled over him, glaring into his blue eyes.
Was he that stupid? Did he honestly think that after everything I've been through with my mate that I'd dump his ass for him?
He sighed and let out a chuckle before putting his hands up in defense. I snarled before I got off him. I did nothing other than lay on all fours and huff.
I was tired of being here and it's only been a day and a half.
"It's not like I'm all that thrilled. I have a mate out there somewhere ok? You aren't the only one with a loss. But if we both want to make it out alive of this place, we have no choice but to go along with this." He growled from behind.
I growled lowly.
Great. Now I felt like I had been selfish. Of course he had a mate out there. He hasn't even met her yet! OR maybe he has, I don't know but no wolf should ever be ripped away from their mate.
I got up and swiftly walked past him only to run into a small girl. Oh it was the little maid girl.
"Miss, you are to change immediately. Master would like it very much." She bent down and dropped a dress of all things in front of me.
Ew.
Whatever. I growled before taking the black dress and walking into the hallway on all fours.
-
I wasn't aware that it was my screams that were being heard. It was a second later that I realized they had came from me.
"Shut up!" He screamed and slapped his arm around my mouth.
This scent. It was . .
I squirmed and kicked more and more even more in a frenzy.
"Damn it bitch!" And with that, he brought me to a choke. I couldn't see his face.
I brought my elbow back before slamming it into his side. He growled before he dropped to the ground.
I brought my eyes to the stranger that had oh so rudely snuck into my room while I changed into that dress.
"Preston." I growled. He shook his head in anger.
"What the fuck are you doing in here?" I shouted.
"Shut up!" He yelled
"Take me to Tyler!" I demanded, standing up.
"What makes you think I would do that?" He asked leaning against the sink.
"Because he is your son and Alpha and I'm his mate and your Luna." I spat.
Suddenly the door was slammed open to reveal Damon. His eyes were wide with fury as he glared at Tyler's dad.
"Ohh Damon how you've grown." Preston cooed.
Did these two know each other? EIther way it didn't matter.
Because what happened next changed everything.
Brent waltzed through the door calmly, hands clasping eachother.
"Damon, Preston." He regarded.
"Sister." he regarded to me. I snorted in return. What was this all about? Why is Preston here and why is he not taking me to his son? Hell I knew he hated me but this was some other shit.
"When will it be done?! It's taking far too long!" Preston shouted, growing more irate.
"Soon. Sooner than we both thought actually." Brent said with a clap. I turned to Damon, then Brent. Damon looked as confused as I.
"What the hell is going on?" I snapped.
"I really, really do not like that kind of language here." Brent chastized with a frown.
"Too motherfucking bad." I retorted.
"Honestly." Brent shook his head.
What was going on here?! Nothing was adding up.
"Why is he here?" Damon asked, pointing at Preston.
"Ah yes. We shall discuss this in the main courtroom." And with that, Brent skipped on out of my room. I groaned, following after Damon and Preston.
What part did Preston play in all of this?
-
"I want her married to him now!" Preston growled.
I sat there in shock.
"Oh well I do believe it's going to be happening much sooner than we'd believed. Tanner!" Brent called out. The three of us turned to see Tanner and Michael carrying a body by the arms while the rest of him was dragged out.
Eyes widened.
Hearts stopped.
And for the second time that day, I was screaming.
Tyler was hanging by arms as the two men dragged him. He was bloody and caked in dirt. My wolf howled in sheer anger at who ever had done this to our mate. Immediately I ran towards him, but Preston caught me by the arm and pulled me into his chest. I squirmed but he was much stronger.
He forced my head to watch Tyler.
"Tyler! Tyler!" I screamed out as I struggled to get out of his grasp.
Tyler barely moved his head, proving to me that he was indeed alive.
Damon held his brought and tensed up.
"We caught this little sneak last night. Too bad he didn't stay in his pack where he belonged. He's suffering because of you Raven." Brent announced as he walked down the steps and onto the ground.
They had my mate last night, and I didn't even know . . . They'd been torturing him this whole time . .
"You evil bastard!" I screamed at Brent, who merely smiled and shrugged.
Tyler's eyes slowly opened and his first look was shockingly at Damon, who still hadn't moved.
"Hello . ." He breathed out raggedly, "Brother."
Damon gasped as Tyler spoke. So did I. Brothers?! Preston had another son?!
"Raven is not good for you Tyler. And I'm sorry but this is the only way it can be done. Damon needs her. He can tame her. You're too soft Tyler." Preston announced. My anger was soaring.
Damon stayed quiet at this whole new revelation.
"Then it is settled! We shall have a beautiful wedding tonight, banquet and all! Tyler, I'm sure you'd love to watch your mate marry your brother - so I suppose we'll just have to chain you up to watch." Brent revealed. Tears streamed down my face.
Tyler lightly growled, earning a slap from Tanner.
"Don't touch you him you bastard!" I screamed in Preston's hold.
Tanner rolled his eyes in amusement.
"Stop it please! Stop it you're hurting him! Stop it!" I screamed as Tanner dropped him and began to kick him in the stomach. Michael watched idlessly, shame written on his face.
"Stop it stop!" I screamed, starting to feel the pain from his torture. I leaned over as I felt my stomach concave in pain. Preston dropped me to the ground, only to have Damon run towards me.
He reached for me, but I snapped.
"Don't touch me!" I wheezed, trying to catch my breath. I tried to crawl to Tyler, but a kick to the face sent me flying onto my back. I looked up in a blur to see Brent looking down at me.
"Always causing problems sister. See what you've done? Perhaps if you never would have driven us into the lake," he knelt down and whispered, "then this all could have been avoided."
And just like that, all the guilt and burden I used to keep on my shoulders returned in a whole second.
"Don't listen . . Raven." Tyler wheezed on the ground. My eyes traveled to him.
I closed my eyes for a second, and tried to keep away the memories.
"Well, see to it Tyler is at the wedding tonight. We need to get the bride her gown." Brent said with a grin.
Wet streaks of tears were fresh out of my eyes. Tyler was dying. And he had been here. My brother was truly a monster. The man I was going to have to marry was Tyler's brother. Preston, their father was against me on a whole new level.
I glanced at my broken mate to see him slip into unconsciencousness (A/N no clue how to spell that oops sorry)
My precious mate. The one who saved me from myself. I had no choice but to return the favor.
Even if it meant marrying his brother.
And even if it meant losing my life.
I was going to save my mate and get him out of here.
And no one was going to stop me.
Wow ok so a lot happened in this chapter.
