So just a recap  . . .

Raven was going to meet the pack, but when she was about to share her blood with the pack, the dagger was poisoned somehow and she got knocked out. Ok here we go finally sorry I'll stahp takling.

Raven's POV***

There was a silent beeping noise to my right. The lighting was dull, at least it seemed so with my eyes closed. I pried my eyes open only to see I was laying down. I yawned, and rubbed my eyes . . . holy shit!

In front of me was a paw. My white wolf paw! I didn't shift! WIth shaky legs, I struggled to get up. It had indeed been a while since I last shifted or trained, but in my defense a lot of shit has been going on. I let out a growl as I continued to waver, but soon I was able to stand up. I jumped off the table, but let out a snarl.

Something was attached to my shoulder, and not only that but my back paw was chained to the metal table leg.

What the hell was going on?!

"Raven, Raven stop!" Someon called. I turned my head to see Tyler racing towards me. I automatically calmed down a little when I finally saw someone who I knew.

"Do you remember me?" He whispered as he kneeled to my side. I whimpered unknowingly. His eyes were wide with worry, and a small after shave appeared while I had been out. It was understandable as to why he would be so concerned. Considering all I put him thruogh he has a large right.

I nuzzled my head into his shoulder, hoping he'd know what I meant. He sighed and rubbed his hand through his hair.

I sat on my hind legs, and awaited an explanation.

Tyler obviously noticed before he stood up, and pulled over a chair.

"Raven, the dagger you were going to use to finalize the bonding with the pack was poisoned. It was just any silver that was smeared on the knife. It was silverlace liquid." He announced. My ears shrank back at the memory of the silverlace.

It took my memories. And I went through hell to get them back. Could it be Mr. Gibbins? Afterall, he is a hunter and whatnot. He was unexplainably generous to me and my mate weeks ago, but for all we know it could be a distraction.

"It could not have been Ragnor." Tyler said, taking my thoughts out and placing them on his tongue.

I wanted to ask how, yet for some reason my mind link wouldn't let me. I hoped Tyler would soon explain why it wouldn't go through.

"He's proven to be no threat. And you shifted because of the poison. Ez, the doctor, tried to get you to force shift back into a human, but your bones won't shift back into their normal position. The pain doesn't seem to be bad right now. The poison is leaving your body, and when it does you can become your true self again. As for now, we need to keep you chained up." He stated.

I let out a growl, and stood on all legs. I was not going to be caged and treated like a pup.

Tyler sighed before grabbing my face in his palms. I closed my eyes at our contact, enjoying it.

"It's not like I want to. But, while the poison has been leaving your body, you've been unconsciounsely convulsing. Parts of your bones shift, and others don't. If we aren't careful, you could hurt yourself." He stated.

Great. If my life was a movie it would be called "Hi I'm Raven, and I just Can't Catch a Break!"

Would it hurt? Be painful? I wanted to talk so badly, but I could only act like a real normal wolf.

I just wanted to get on the top of a building, and scream, "THIS IS BULLSHIT!" I let out a huff before slumping down on my hind legs, almost in a pouty mannor. But after all the hell me and my mate have gone through, I deserve to be able to pout.

"You'll be fine Raven. I'm having Dylan stay with you while I do more to figure out who got hold of the knife before I did. It's been in my closet for years, so I have no idea who would have gotten in without my permission."

My head lifted. I was glad that Dylan would be staying with me. She was the only thing - apart from Anna - that I had as a friend here. I didn't like to make friends, especially after my family's death.

I mean, I had been through a lot as a child. It was traumatizing, and it still proved to have a hold on me as well. Which also reminded me, I haven't been having as many flashbacks. They used to be so hard to keep to myself. Now, I haven't had one in a couple weeks or so.

I pray, and desperately hope they will not return.

"I have to go now. I'm meeting with Cayde and Blake. I'll be back late. Don't give Dylan too much trouble. Although I don't see how you can - considering you can't mindlink." He said, standing up with a dangerous smirk.

Normally, I'd spit a comeback right away, however, my mindlink is apeshit right now. I rolled my eyes in irritation, causing him to chuckle before he left the room. But not without placing a featherlight kiss in the middle of where my ears lay.

I closed my eyes for a few brief seconds, enjoying his loving touch.; wishing I could only have more of what was to eventually come. He quickly parted, and soon as he opened the door, in walked a happy Dylan. My ears perked up as she entered.

"Nice look." She commented. Again, I rolled my eyes.

She had her brown hair in a side braid, and was wearing a simple white tee, with black skinny jeans and black combat boots. In her left hand was a plastic Walmart baggy.

She closed the door after Tyler left, and sat down in front of me.

"How ya feelin?" She asked, sitting criss cross applesauce. I managed a shrug, but it's difficult with these different joints.

"I'll take that as okish. So, I know you can't mind link since for one, you couldn't bond with our pack, and two, you were poisoned by some random dick. But, have no fear for I've brought a solution to this problem."

Thinking of how I couldn't complete the bond with the pack made me both relieved, and dissapointed. Relieved because I was super nervous, and dissapointed because I had made that awesome on the spot speech, and I also was finally ready to take on my position.

Dylan dumped the bag, and out flew crayons, markers and papers. I gave her a look as if to say, "WTF!?"

She let out a grin as she put a piece of paper in front of me.

"I figured, hey, we are half human, so therfor you know how to write. So, just uh, grab a writing utencil, and write your thoughts on paper." She stated with a proud grin. I nodded so she understood. I'd never tried this, I mean, who has?

Well, might as well try.

I nudged a purple marker with my nose. Dylan reached for it and undid the cap, happily handing it to me. I groaned and took the marker in my jaws. I reached my neck down to the paper, and placed my white paw on the edge of the paper to hold it still.

I sloppily wrote, "This is weird." Each letter looking like a 6 year old was writing it.

"Well, cry about cuz this is all we have." She pouted. I nodded and so we continued to "talk".

Tyler's POV**

"Alpha, I had Asher sniff out your closet, if that was ok of me..." Cayde revealed. I nodded. I didn't care. I wanted to know the bastard that harmed my mate, and tear them limb from limb.

"It's fine. Anything?" I asked. Blake shook his head, and so did Cayde.

"Nope. Nothing. It was just your scent." Blake added. I sighed in annoyance. We've been in my office for hours. It was me, Cayde, Blake and Connor. Cayde was my third in command, and Blake was his best friend who's managed to save my life more than once, so for that I owe him. As for Blake, he was actually my best friend since birth. I felt guilty that I haven't had time for him ever since I met my mate, and I made it a point to start hanging out with him more often.

"No one is acting suspicious and I can't trace any sign of rogues either." Connor said, rubbing his blonde hair with his palm.

"The knife was either poisoned, or replaced with an exact replica that had been poisoned before." Connor said once more.

"If it was replaced, where is the original one?" Blake asked, making Cayde nod.

I crossed my arms over my chest, trying hard to think.

"Who could have even been able to sneak into my room, and not have their scent all around?" I asked the question no one had said aloud.

"Connor, do you still have the dagger Raven cut herself with?" I asked. He nodded curtly.

"Bring it to me."

Immediately, Connor's hand went to his pant pocket before he took out the beautifully dangerous knife that had nearly killed my mate.

I held out my hadn to take it from him, and soon, he placed it in my palm. I grabbed the handle, and studied it closely. I brought it to my nose, and took a quick sniff. The scent was like mine, but a little mustier. It seemed so familiar, yet I couldn't place a name to it.

I backed it away from my face and looked at the small blood stain on it. The bitter memory of Raven's memories being swiped from her started to enrage me. I was not going to let things get as far out of hand as it did with Jarod. I refused to make the same mistake.

"Alpha, could I?" Blake asked, holding out his hand. I nodded and handed him the dagger. He took it and started to examine it.

"What's this?" He asked. Soon, he caught all of our attention. My head snapped up at his words.

"Was this always on the original knife?" Blake asked as he pointed to a small scripture on the handle. I neared it to see.

It was a small swirl, with a star on the inside.

"No." I answered.

Raven's POV***

Dylan had to go since it was getting late, and now I felt totally alone. It was annoying that I felt the need for Tyler's company. I used to be so independent. Too independent.

I sighed and rested my head on my furry paws, and forced myself to sleep.

"Raven!" someone called. I looked down to see that I was in my human form, wearing a long white dress. My foot was chained to the ground, and I was surrounded by darkness. Except it seemed like there was a spotlight on me, but only me.

It was that same outfit, and voice as the dream I had before.

"Who the fuck are you?!" I screamed.

"Raven, listen . . ." I growled in irritation. I was listening! Who was this!?

"I am, I am listening!" I desperately cried.

"Find her." the male voice spoke again, their voice seeming like an echo in a cave.

"Find who!?" I yelled.

"Before she . . . finds you. . '" I tugged at the chains holding me down, and they wouldn't budge.

"Or . . darkness." The voice was sketching in and out.

I turned around, searching through the dark yet somehow came face to face with a large mirror you'd find in a palace. It was gold with a raven at the top, crowing at me with red eyes. I looked in the mirror, and found myself gasping.

The dress I was wearing soon started to taint into black. It started with the bottom and looked like it was seeping into black, until at the top, the  strings became black. I looked down to see the dress all black, like it was in the mirror. I returned my attention to the mirror and let out a scream.

The person in front of me, wasn't me. She was, but she wasn't at the same time. Half of her looked like me. Normal hazel eyes. Dark brown hair to my forearm. But suddenly, the mirror cracked in half, and the other half was different. The jet black raven at that stood at the top of the mirror let out an ear peircing crow as it did this.

Her eyes were black. All black. The whites of her eyes and the color faded until it was all black. A large pointy fang hung over her ruby red lips. The dress she wore was black, differing from the other  half's all white one.

I lifted a hand to my face, and the mirror sure enough copied the movement. I slowly touched the fang, and jumped when I actually felt the enamal.

As I did this, the mirror shattered, and clattered to the ground. The raven flew off in time, but as he landed took the shape of something else. It became a whiff of smoke as it hit the floor. As the smoke rose off the ground, it transformed into a star, with a spiral coming out from the top of the star.

What was the sign? What was the voice?! Who did I have to find?!?! I was about to panick furthermore, yet a flock of birds started to swarm me. Where did these come from?! They pecked at me more and more as I let out shrieks of pain, and tied to swat them away. And then the last bird came at slow motion.

His claws outstretched as he got bigger and reached for my face . . .

I awoke with a start. Sweat was falling off my fur. I've never had dreams in wolf form. But something told me, that this was more than a dream.

I already know how the book is going to climax and end.

I have planned it from the very start of this book.

So there is the update - FINALLY AGH

Thoughts on who stole the original dagger and poisoned Raven?
