Chapter 26. Dads and Death and Daggers, Oh my!!

<:/ I don't know what to do.

I thought going into highschool as a freshman would be great. New classes, meet more people, hot guys, soccer, and I just thought it was all going to be easy.

I was never more wrong.

I snapped at my ex best  friend today because she said something offensive and I don't wanna get into it.

I had no idea that high school was literally going to turn my life upside down.

And if you are in 8th grade or lower, don't let me and my experience right now bring you down.

So therefor, I decided to give you all some quick tips before entering highschool! Please . . . don't make the mistakes I did.

1). Don't surround yourself with people that will bring you down.

2). Be friends with people that you look up to or want to be somewhat like.

3). Remember that you are worth something.

4.) Study and get on all teacher's good sides. DO NOT GET CAUGHT UP IN DRAMA CUZ IT NEVER LEAVES YOU

That's all I got for now.

Also I wanna clarify a few things cuz in this book some things may be fuzzy

Raven has her memory back, Tyler loves her like craay, Alpha Natalie ran back to her back and we haven't heard from her or Dark River pack, Mr Gibbins is a sweet old man, Dylan from the pack was sexually and physically abused before she found her mate and is now Raven's friend, along with Anna the blonde, who is also known as Whitesnout, and was preggers at a time but is not due to being tortured by Jarod.

Whateva, here is what ya'll have been waiting for!

I cautiously opened the door, and took a deep breath. I stepped out and welcomed the backyard's fresh air. In front of me was now the entire pack, all eyes on me. Some were whispering to others, I got many scowls from a few young girls, which I'd be more than happy to wipe off their face.

My eyes thwarted to Tyler who was standing patiently on the steps.

I gave him a look of "Sorry I was late, I hate your dad." but I don't think he caught onto the last part.

He smiled warmly once I made my way to his side. His scent engulfed me as soon as he protectively wrapped his arm around my waist. I enjoyed being at his side. I took a deep breath and prepared for the ceremony.

"Everyone, this is my mate, and your future Luna, Raven Dark." He announced. Immediately, some gasped and I even heard a, "so the rumors are true!" as old people whispered to each other. I nervously cast my eyes to the wood floor. Why was it so interesting right now?

[Make them trust us. We have to show them we care.] My wolf chimed. I gulped. I hated when she was right.

"Hello, I'm Raven." I introduced myself awkwardly. Some sat there impatiently while others seemed to be more curious about me.

I cleared my throat. Now or never.

I stepped away from Tyler, already missing his touch. I walked down a step, somewhat closer to the pack.

"I'm sure many of you know who I am, and many of you have heard of who I am. Yes, it is true I was a rogue. Some might know me as "The Slip"." I started. Many stayed silent and skeptical as I continued.

"I never planned on running into this pack. Or Tyler for that matter. But, I'm happy as hell that I did." I silently chastised myself as I swore, but some of the pack actually chuckeled. I smiled as I realized I was doing good so far.

"All I'm asking for is a chance. I'm aware of all the danger, and stress I once put you all under, and to that I'm very sorry. Yet, if you give me the chance I need, I can give you all the chance to see me as a leader with Alpha Tyler. To see me as a Luna. You'll have my guidance, protection, loyalty, and honesty." I finished my speech and saw many more bright faces in the crowd. I could only pray my speech had won them over.

"How do we know you aren't just going to up and leave us?" Someone from the crowd shouted. I heard many murmer 'yeah' and some just nodded.

"You don't know that, but I do. I will never leave. Trust me, even if I tried I doubt I'd get very far." I said, glancing behind me to see a grinning Tyler.

"You wouldn't even get to leave the house." He added, the pack busting in a fit of giggles and small side jokes.

"How do we know the enemies you've made won't come after you and this pack!?" A woman shouted, fairly close to me. I cringed, only because she screamed like, legit right in my ear. I was ready to snap at the woman, but that wasn't getting them to like me.

I hardened my face, and my lips became a thin line.

"Again, we wouldn't know. But, I would fight to protect this pack. And that, is a promise." I retorted to the old woman with a scowl on her face and crossed arms.

Before I realized, Tyler was at my side. I could tell by the way he walked over to me, he was in full Alpha mode.

"Do not forget, that when you question my mate, you are questioning me as well. If anyone has a problem, they can step up right now and say it." He said, his voice deeper than usual.

No one dared to say a word.

"So, does Oakwood Forest pack agree to the terms in which we grant our Luna the position as Luna?" He asked loudly so everyone could hear.

Many nodded and soon broke into clapping. For me! I've never felt like this . . . No one has ever applauded me.

It was then that it happened. I don't know what it was. I don't know if I was going crazy. I don't know if I was the only one who had heard it.

There was a familiar voice in my head. The words were faint. And it was like a small echo.

"Who are you trying to fool?"

The words were so hush, and I immediately looked at Tyler, but he was grinning and clapping.

"Did you say something?" I asked him. He looked down at me, still smiling.

"Nope. Ok, it's time to be serious now." He stopped clapping as did the pack. I soon forgot what had just happened and came back to the present.

"Dylan!" Shouted my mate. Out of the crowd came a the familiar girl with brown hair.

She quickly walked up the steps and handed Tyler a beautifully sculpted knife. It had small spirals running down the brown handle and the tip was glistening in the sunlight.

"By drawing the blood of soon to be Luna, and allowing each member to touch the red liquid, we will now all be bonded to our Luna, and she will assume the correct position." Tyler announced. Ok, unexpected, but I could do it.

I grabbed the knife from Dylan who was smiling at me with encouragement. I picked it up, and it seemed to have a strange aura surrounding it. I looked at Tyler to see if it was ok. He nodded, and gently lifted my right wrist.

Before I cut, he put his plush lips on my skin, and left a tingling kiss. I heard "awe's" from the crowd. I was too focused on Tyler to care.

As his lips left my wrist, his dark eyes peered at me. I nodded and took a deep breath. I slowly brought the beautiful weapon to my tan skin, and positioned it at my wrist. I lifted the dagger and sliced it across my wrist, only for it to burn.

I dropped the dagger, and heard everyone around me gasp.

I dropped the ground as a small bit of smoke came from my blood.

"Raven! Everyone! Get to your homes, lock your doors! I'll call each and everyone of you when I know more about the situation!" Tyler called, but my blood was boiling, literally. I felt like my skin was on fire.

"Raven, Raven listen to me, this isn't right." He said, but I couldn't focus. My eyes were squeezed shut as more of the fire increased.

"Won't . . stop!" I wheezed, curling up and holding my wrist. Warm blood spilled onto my hand, which also burned.

"Someone get Ez! Asher, Cade go get her!" Tyler yelled over the sound of everyone shuffling to get home. I let out a feral growl as the pain got worse. I felt like I was being stabbed, over and over again. I felt something like lightning pierce my stomach, and I couldn't help but let out a scream.

I was picked up in large arms, but I knew not even Tyler's touch would help. Something was wrong. That much I knew. It was becoming a blur, but I think I was in a car.

The pain raced to my legs and I stopped flailing because I couldn't feel them.

"Just hold on baby, we're almost at the hospital." Tyler said from afar as I opened my tired eyes. When did we get in the car? I closed them once more as the fire and lightning spread to my bones, making me just want to die right then and there.

I just wanted this to be over. I couldn't move. But when I opened my tired eyes again, I was in Tyler's arms, but I think I was laid down on something. I couldn't find my senses. Sight, smell, touch, all of them were gone.
