Chapter 15. Welcome to Blue Fire Pack
Sorry I have had the worst writers block
Dedicated to Calla Yesitis (:
I rustled around, warmth crawling into my skin. I tediously opened my eyes to find myself staring up a cieling with a dim tan light. I blinked hard.
Then it hit me.
Raven's memory being gone, the river. It all crashed back into my mind. I flew up and started panting. I glanced below me and saw I was in a bed, the blue sheets on top of me. I flung them off with great speed and used my high senses to sniff around.
I was in a stranger pack, one that had pine scent. But which pack was it? Was that who had pulled me out of the water when I rescued Raven?
"Take it easy." Someone said to the side. I whipped my head around to see a man standing in the corner, his eyes dark and wrinkle lines apparant on his face. His hair was short and his nose was a little crooked. He seemed a little in his mid 50's, or his late 40's.
Immediately I let out a low warning growl.
"No need for that pup. Afterall, it was my pack who saved you and your mate from drowning in our streams." He spoke, his deep voice dripping with authority. My eyes widened and my growling stopped.
"Where is she?" I asked, my eyes glaring into his. If she wasn't safe or was harmed in any sort of way, I swear I'd never be the same. I'd turn into a ruthless killer if I had to.
My wolf growled at the thought. The man - who I'm assuming was the alpha, raised his hands in defense as if to calm me down a bit.
"She's safe. Don't worry, I"ll take you to her. But as for right now, I wish to speak with you. I'm Beta Neil of Blue Fire pack, and you have tresspassed. Give me one reason why I should dispose of you now." He growled out, nearing me. Then where was this Blossom Harpinger girl??
"I'm Alpha Tyler, of Oakwood Forest pack. I wished we didn't have to meet like this. My mate and I actually wished to speak with you - the Alpha. We . . . we were hoping you could help us with something important, leaving us in your debt." I said. I hated asking for help. I rarely made alliances with other packs, and so far I only had with one. It was the Pinewood Forest pack, adjacent to us.
Their numbers were great and they had excellent hunters.
"Why should we help you?" He asked once more.
"For one, my pack would be in favor to yours, and I could help with one little annoyance." I added. He raised an eyebrow.
"That annoyance being . . ?"
I smirked. "Dark River's pack." and with those words, the Beta of Blue Fire pack's eyes widened considerably. Suddenly, anger and desperation crossed his face as well as pure hatred. So the rumors were true. Dark River had a hold on this small pack.
"What could you possibly do?" He grit out.
"My pack is large, and I have an alliance with the Pinewood Forest. I'd prevent their attacks on your territory - make a deal." I proposed, playing my cards right.
"Don't you think my pack and I have tried to make a deal with them? A compromise? They are so unwilling, it's easier to make a Hunter live with Werewolves in peace." He replied angrily. I sighed.
"You'd be surprised at how persuasive I can be." I retorted lowly.
"You know something, don't you?" Alpha Neil said suddenly. I glanced up at him and sighed.
"If you really want to know, you are going to take me to my mate, now." I nearly demanded. My wolf was whining and pacing all around, dying to be near her and make sure she was fine. Alpha Neil grunted but nodded nontheless.
I got out from under the sheets and followed the man out of the small room. I was led into a hallway where there were four doors. Alpha Neil took a sharp turn left and walked all the way down the hall, me following behind. He glanced at me and opened the door that kept my mate locked up.
I walked in to find quite the sight.
"Don't touch me you freakshow!" I heard a familiar voice call out. A smile almost took place on my face.
Raven was so perfect and spunky. A nurse I'm assuming, was trying to plunge a needle into Raven's arm, but she wasn't having it. Four nurses were near my mate and pinning her down, causing my wolf to growl in anger.
I immediately ran towards Raven and shoved one of the female nurses back from her.
"Step away from the girl." Alpha Neil spoke. My wolf was still growling in protective mode. No one was allowed to touch our girl.
All the nurses backed away. The one that tried to stick a needle in my mates arm was scowling in annoyance.
"Yeah, step back." Raven jaunted.
I sighed and turned towards her to see if she was alright. My eyes scanned over her perfect face. Her brown hair was splayed on the pillow holding her up and her bright green eyes were staring into my brown ones.
"Ummm . . . . Wait don't tell me." Raven said and grabbed her head. My heart stopped and a pit formed at the bottom of my stomach.
"Tyler!" She screeched and threw her hands up in the air. I forced out a smile and sat down next her. She almost forgot me . . . my wolf was howling in pain.
[She nearly forgot us this time. . .] He said to me.
[We're going to get her back.] I said, but my words weren't comforting to me.
"What's the matter with your guys's bond?" Alpha Neil asked. I stared up at him.
"In order to tell you, it must be only us three." I demanded. Alpha Neil grunted. He stared at his nurses who had tried to contain my rowdy mate. They all bowed their heads in respect and left the room, the last one closing the door behind her.
After they had left, Alpha Neil stared at me, waiting for the story to begin.
"My mate was injected with Silverlace liquid." I breathed out. Alpha Neil's eyes widened for a second.
"That's impossible." He growled.
"That's what we thought. Now her memory is slowly being eaten up from the inside and she's getting weaker by the day. She's lost so much of her memory that she can't even remember who I was a week ago." I stated, my head dipping in disdain and pain. It hurt so much to even say that my own mate, who was mine to protect, couldn't remember me.
"The Silverlace Tree was destroyed milleniums ago. And along with it, Ragnor the Original disapeared with it." He replied, his face hard as stone.
I studied him before Raven spoke.
"You're lying." She hissed. I stared at her, bewildered at her accusation.
"Am I now, famous rogue?" He challenged.
"Not to rain on your parade, but I'm a rogue, a famous one at that. Don't you think I know everything there is to know about lying?" She retorted, her eyes squinting challengingly.
"I suppose." He said slowly, " Get dressed. I have to show you something. I'll take you to our Alpha. Clothes are laid out in the bathroom." Alpha Neil said to us before closing the door and leaving.
I looked down and saw I was in a white shirt with basketball shorts. I glanced at Raven who was staring at herself as well. She was in a hospital looking gown. I found myself traveling to her open cleavage, my eyes greedily scanning her chest.
Raven caught me before her face turned a deep shade of red. I smirked. She threw off the covers before jogging into the bathroom. I sighed and just sat down, for what seemed like forever until she finally came out. She was wearing a plain black t-shirt with short denim shorts and flip flops. Her brown hair was also pulled into a simple ponytail that gave her a cute natural look.
I pulled my eyes away from her gorgeous frame. "I guess we'd better go meet the Alpha." I replied as we went downstairs.
We went downstairs and found ourselves in front of Alpha Neil. "You must swear to me that you're not working with Dark River if I show you this." Alpha Niel said. I nodded. "We swear." With that, Alpha Neil stepped out of the front door, us following behind him.
Like us, his house was built in a forest along with several others. Only I would definately not call them houses. Raven gasped, and covered her mouth with her hand. My eyes widened at the horrifying sight in front of me.
