Third Person's POV

What seem to be a music room where sitting on the floor you can see a blonde boy with green eyes watching something on his tablet and while wearing headphones while humming a melody.

The boy has blonde hair and green eyes. He wears a light green hooded sweatshirt, dark shorts, white socks with blue trim and green sneakers.

"Man, to be like them one day, just if it wasn't for the stupid stage fright!" he complains "But well, I can't do anything about it" he said to himself before getting up and walks out of the music room only to bumped by someone 

And that someone is a short, green-eyed boy with flame-like hair, colored auburn and yellow. He wears a long-sleeved red jacket with white shoulders, a white shirt with yellow designs, a brown belt around his black shorts, blue shoes with red details and blue fingerless gloves.

And his name is Yuga Ohdo.

"I'm sorry I Bumped into you!" he said before running off sounded like he's in a hurry.

The blonde boy tried to look for Yuga, but he was already out of sight. Oh right! Forgot to introduce you guys the blonde boy's name is Zevis Sakura, he's a kid who has a lot of love for dueling, music and he's quite the introvert at first meeting but quickly warms up to you never backing out of the school class. and he was a former backup singer, due to a trauma that happened to him not to long ago, and he couldn't blame no one but himself for be such a coward on stage.

Zevis notices a weird Notebook in front of him and picks it up "Rush, Duels?" he questions as he gets up and looks around and walks around the schools looking for Yuga, hopefully to find Yuga but luck was futile for him as he couldn't find him.

But then realizes "Oh right school's over, I guess I should give him tomorrow first thing in the morning" he said before walking out of the school and he walks himself home while in a distance he notices a familiar pink haired female her name is Romin Kassidy.

Romin's usual outfit consists of a black top with yellow buttons, a short red skirt adorned with two brown belts to hold the Deck cases at her waist, lavender tights and red/black high heels. She has a sky-blue eyes and magenta hair with a slim body.

Romin smiles and waves at the boy who panics and walks away only for Romin to look down sad feeling guilty about what happened that one night.

-scene change-

Zevis arrives to his house, and he looks at the Notebook that he's sure belong to Yuga he opens it and sees nothing but a bunch of drawing and pictures "So much for these Rush Duels or whatever" he said before closing the notebook and proceeds to walk back to his room.

-time skip-

Zevis enters the school and sees a depressed Yuga and he walks up to him and puts the notebook on his desk and quickly walks to his desk and going on with his day.

-scene change-

Zevis walks home alone but something made him stop walking "Zevis!"

Zevis eyes turn dark, and he looks back and sees a slim young boy with purple eyes and light green spiky hair with three prongs over his eyes in a "T" shape. He wears dark magenta pink t-shirt with a light purple crossed sword symbol on the chest, two light purple wristbands and black pants with purple ribbons wrapped around the shins. He also wears black shoes.

He is Roa Kassidy "Hey, haven't seen you in a while" he said.

Zevis glares darkly at Roa before turning way and leaves.

"Still upset about that?" he asks.

Zevis stops walking again "What do you want, Roa?" he holds the bit of sanity he has left to keep himself from wanting to punch the green hair boy.

"Listen, you have every right to be upset, and what happened really made me feel instant regret, I only pointed the spotlight on you, because people should deserve how incredibly talented you are, Zev, the band misses you being there...I missed you being there" Roa tells the blonde before handing Zevis a ticket "if you're interested, we have a show coming up, and we would love to have you there" he said with a pleading tone.

Zevis hesitantly looks at the Ticket and sighs and takes Roa's hand and gives him back the ticket "Thanks, but I'm going to give a hard pass" he said coldly much to Roa's shock he wasn't expecting Zevis to say no when he normally would say yes "if you really care for me and you, and Romin pulled that stunt on me unannounced, what else you two will do? I can't trust you or Romin because of that" he said before leaving a shocked Roa.

"Even if you won't go...take the ticket, please" Zevis stops and sighs again and takes the ticket.

"Such so you know I'm not taking this for you" Zevis points before leaving Roa again.

Roa watches his former backup singer leave 'I know what I did was unforgivable, but I really miss you Zevis' he thinks with a sad smile before heading back 'If he comes, he would see me beating Yuga and that way Zevis would think I'm cool again, rather he rejoins or not just him having that thought would be enough win for me, I know that sounds selfish, but Zevis always was the light of the band' he thinks.

-flashback a year ago-

"Cause you are the piece of me I wish I didn't need" Zevis smiles at himself while typing on his tablet "It's perfect!" he smiles proudly.

Then he hears the door open and sees Romin walking in and smiles at Zevis "Hey Zevis, you came here earlier than normal" she states.

"Well, I live like a fifteen-minute walk from here you already know that Romin and besides I've already done with my homework" he responds.

Then Roa and two other boys walk in "Hey, cus, Hey Zev" Roa greets 

"Zevis you came early" Tyler the drummer of the band states looking surprised to see Zevis in rehearsal early.

Tyler is a stocky boy with a rough-cut look to him. He has brown eyes with heavy eyebrows and a strip of tape across his nose; and his dark blue hair, with a lighter plume in the front, is held up by a spring-green headband. He wears a dark forest-green sleeveless moto jacket over a short-sleeved white shirt, and has medium green colored pants with brown shoes, along with dark brown finger-less gloves that have ringed purple cuffs.

"I didn't have much homework to work on so here I am" Zevis explains with a smile making the three male blush and look away while the only female of the band shakes her head.

"Hey Zevis, you seemed to be working on something, don't mind me asking what you're doing?" she asks.

Zevis looks at the tablet before handing it to Romin while the others join to see what the blonde was working on "It's not finished but I was writing a song to maybe perform it in the future" he explains.

Roa looks amazed at the lyric the blonde made "Zev, this is amazing! I mean you're good at harmonizing with my voice, but I didn't expect you to be this good!" he praised Zevis.

Zevis blushes embarrassed "d-don't make this a big deal, like I said is not finished"

"I-I think it'll be a nice lyric" a boy with longer hair that has his eyes covered stated shyly.

Zevis smiles "Thanks Toombs!" he thanked the boy.

Toombs is an unassuming young boy with pale skin and long messy black hair that usually conceals his silver eyes. In comparison to his more flashily dressed bandmates, Toombs dresses in simple clothes; a long-sleeved shirt with a grey body and lighter grey sleeves that hang over his wrists, charcoal pants, and brown cowboy boots.

"Sad that you don't like the attention, but if you did enjoy the thrill of people watching you, you would be a even more successful artist out of all of us" Tyler also stated.

Zevis and Romin "Let's not get to a head of ourselves" Zevis said while laughing.

-end of flashback scene changed-

Zevis stands at the entrance of the Big Seven Arena where the RoaRomin Concert will be taking place.

As he enters, he sees Romin about to duel one Yuga's friend in a Rush Duel "Mister Sakura" Zevis looks and sees a staff "Would you like to go to the stage?"

"So all of this was for setting to wanting a rush duel, Typical, I refuse to let them humiliate other people like they did to me" Zevis speaks to himself before looking at the guard "where's the fastest way to get on that stage?" he asks the guard who was kind enough to guide him which Zevis nod and runs off. 

"But Romin, you're supposed to be on our team" Gavin one of Yuga's friend stated at the female.

Gavin is a lean boy with deep-blue eyes and purple hair, which covers his eyes a bit. He also wears two white hairclips to the left side of his hair. Gavin wears a blue kimono that has a black/light-blue pattern around his waist. He also wears a regal black/red cloak with yellow outlines.

"Actually guys, I never was on your team-"

"Because you're too much of a bitch to actually get your hands dirty two-face!" Romin and Roa gasped when they heard a familiar voice.

Yuga Gavin and a blue hair boy look back and sees a pissed off Zevis "and here I thought you've changed but seems like the fame really got into your peas for brains" he tells them.

Roa and Romin were taken aback since they never seen him actin this angry or better yet heard Zevis cursing at them.

Zevis walks past Yuga and the other "Stand down" he pulls out his disk "I'll be taking over this" he states.

The blue haired boy looks over at the Blonde "I don't know who you are or what's your history with Romin, but don't you think cursing at them is a bit too much?"

Zevis glares at the boy "Did I stutter?" he coldly asks.

"N-No sir" The boy named Luke responds

Luke is a young boy with spiky light-blue hair and red eyes. He wears a dark-brown t-shirt with a red-colored gear on a spike design, khaki pants with a black belt and black shoes with blue stripes. He also sports many accessories: a black collar around his neck, a purple-wristwatch and a blue knot on his left hand, a black wristband on his right arm, a chain tied to his right waist and a black case around his left knee.

"that's what I thought" Zevis then said before turning to Romin "So what do you say bestie~" he puts on his duel disk "shall we get ready for the rush?" he questions coldly.

"Gavin, Luke, I think we should let him" he tells them.

"What!?" Gavin and Luke look at Yuga surprised.

Romin feels intimidated by this even Roa was shocked "Alright, Zevis... Let's duel" she agrees sounding sad like genuine sad, but Zevis remains staring at his former bandmates with a cold glare.

"Get ready for the rush!" the two set their duel disk/duel Guitar.

Romin: 4000
Zevis: 4000

"Fool them once shame on me, fool them twice shame on you, but now you and Roa will pay for Humiliating me..." he said as his eyes flashes in which only Yuga noticed.

'I didn't know Zevis can duel, still could he bluffing' Roa questions before shaking his head 'No it can't be he's too smart for that' he then remembers.

"I go first I draw!" he looks at his cards and nods "I place three cards face down and end my turn" Zevis said.

Luke looks surprised "wait he didn't summon a monster?" he question.

"Oh, Now I know him from class five, Zevis Sakura, former Backup Singer for RoaRomin and currently one of the top three top scoring students academically" Gavin then remembers.

Yuga looks amaze "hey, you were the one who gave me back the notebook the other day, did you, I received your note I wanted to thank you but I wasn't sure because I didn't see you when the notebook reappeared" Yuga tells Zevis.

Zevis looks back at Yuya and gives him a small smile "is no problem at all" he responds as Gavin, Luke and Yuga were looking at the blonde with awe.

Roa however he feels a boiling feeling of jealousy in him along with Romin and the others.

Zevis turn to Romin as his smile fades glaring at her "Make your move Romin, I don't have all day" he coldly tells his former best friend

Romin looks scared "I set two monsters and two more cards face down and end my turn" Romin said.

Zevis frowns "You're still looking little of me?" he questions "of course, typical Romin Kassidy, acting all friendly and kind when you actually don't care for others, like you exposed people on social media"

Romin gasped and frown "I did not do such a thing!" she denies Zevis accusation.

"Then who told everyone on social media my biggest secret, the biggest secret that I only told you, Romin Kassidy, hm?" he questions the girl

"Zevis I swear I didn't post anything" she catches a cellphone Zevis caught

"Then who did this, Romin?" He asks.

Romin's eyes widen with shock, and she sees a post that she has on her drafts being actually published to social media and she reads the hate comments about him.

"Zevis I-"

"Save it Romin, you not only you broke my trust, but also broke my heart, how could you do this to me?" he asks getting angrier.

Roa walks up "Zevis is nothing like that-"

Zevis scoff cutting the green hair boy off "Oh, don't try to save the day, mister perfect, you were the one who tried to humiliate me by pointing me out to the audience when you knew that not only I dislike the center of attention, but thank to you attempt to "Shine" me I'm afraid to stand on a stage with a Microphone in hand" he said making Roa look terrified.

"Zevis..." Roa mutters as guilt builds in.

"If you want to be that cocky like the jackass that you are, then be my guess I draw!" he draws three new cards on his deck. He looks at his cards "Now I summon Aerial Buddy Happy and Aerial buddy Carla!" he calls as two cat-like monsters with wings appears in front of Zevis.

Aerial Buddy Happy: Atk/500

Aerial Buddy Carla: Atk/500

"Next I Activate Aerial Buddy Carla's Effect" he states as Aerial Buddy Carla's body gets outlined by yellow light "when Carla's normal summoned to the field it allows me to summon a monster from level 5 or higher without needing to tribute any monsters on the field, and the Monster I summon my level seven Fire Dragon Slayer Salamander!" he explains as a new monster appears between the two flying cat monsters.

Fire Dragon Slayer Salamander: Atk/2300

"Woah that monster looks strong" Gavin looks surprised.

"Yeah, and he didn't even need to tribute summon due to Aerial Buddy Carla's effect" Yuga agrees looking at the boy with excitement forgetting about the weird flash that he was in the blonde's eyes.

"Next I activate Aerial Buddy Happy's effect!" Zevis shouted as Happy flies by him, and you could hear Happy shouting "Aye!" while its body gets surrounded by a green aura "when Happy's on the field with a Monster that is a level higher than four it can equip itself with that monster giving them his attack points" he explains.

Fire Dragon Slayer Salamander: Atk/2300 → 2800

"Woah, now Fire Dragon Slayer Salamander has twenty-eight hundred attack points!" Roa states with shock.

"But that's not all, the monster that's equipped with Happy can attack you directly, with no interruption!" Zevis explains surprising everyone

"Meaning even if Romin tries to activate a trap, it won't do a thing on Salamander because of Happy's effect" Luke states.

"Romin is in a pickle right now!" Gavin said with concern.

Zevis points forwards at Romin "Now, Salamander! Attack Romin Directly! Fire Dragon Roar!" he shouts

Fire Dragon Slayer Salamander first inhales, gathering fire in his mouth putting his hands before their mouth, in a pose resembling that of a trumpeter, before releasing the fire, prompting it to be expelled between his fingers. The flames starts out as a very thin stream, enough to be fit between the Salamander's fingers, before suddenly enlarging to strike Romin who screams in pain losing points.

Romin: 4000 - 1200

"Next I activate a trap turning the table this allow to switch my weakest monster's battle position meaning I can change Carla's position into defense position" He explains as Carla closes herself with her wings.

Aerial Buddy Carla: Def/0

"And finally, I activate my second card Aerial Storm! this card activate when you have monster in defense position and automatically destroys them" he explains destroying her cards including the face-down monsters in defense position. "And with that I end my turn" Zevis finishes his turn before noticing Roa and Tyler whispering to each other 'I see so you make sure Romin gets hungry so she can go all out on me, this is going to get interesting' he thinks before being interrupted by Romin jamming out her solo guitar performance.

"So like, shouldn't Romin be playing her cards instead of her guitar?" Luke questions.

Gavin gasps "I get it! She can't verbally say that she doesn't want to duel us because Roa will get upset, so she's trying to communicate those feelings with her music" he states.

Zevis hears this and shakes his head "you don't know me and I don't know you, but you don't know Romin better than I do, yes she's in pain but no an emotional pain, she just hungry" he states surprising the boys behind him.

"Hungry!?" the three of them repeated.

"Trust me when I say this, when Romin's hungry, she's a whole different person" he explains.

Once she finishes the crowd cheering for Romin.

"It's... my turn!" Romin states with her eyes glowing red. "I summon Romanpick!" she starts off.

Romanpick: Atk/500

"And then I'm activating Romanpick's effect

Romin: 1200 - 700

'Romin has to send the top three cards in her deck to the graveyard and if there are any Psychic monsters among them, she could retrieve that monster from her graveyard and add it to her hand; still, what could she be up to?' Zevis thinks.

"I summon Wattkiss and Watangel!" Romin summons two more monster on her side of the field.

Wattkiss: Atk/300

Watangel: Atk/500

"Next I activate the spell card Elepsychic Amp Up! Now I regain life points equal to Wattkiss and Watangel's attack points" Romin explains

Romin: 700 - 1500

"Next with two of my monsters, I tribute summon!" She states as Wattkiss and Watangel vanishes from purple portals underneath them.

Then in front of him a tall feminine like monster with a guitar appears jamming at Zevis

"Are you ready to get amped up? Cuz here to rock the stage is level Seven Prima Guitarna the Shining Superstar!"

Prima Guitarna the Shining Superstar: Atk 2200

"Next I summon another Watangel!" She explains as another Watangel appears next to Romanpick.

Watangel: Atk/500

"Then I tribute her, and Romanpick! to tribute summon once again!" she states as she places her card on the duel guitar "this raging rock idol is plugged in and metaled out, cause she's ready to shred! Rock on, Esperade the Smashing Superstar!" Romin explains as a new monster appears.

Esperade the Smashing Superstar: Atk/2500

Romin and her monsters begin to play their guitars "Tell me, are you ready to rock and duel?" the crowd roars with cheering once Romin asked "I said, are you ready to rock and duel?" she asks again as the crowd gets even louder "Then Prima Guitarna, let's get this place pumping! I pay one thousand life points to activate her effect! My rock stars gain three hundred attack points for every monster you have, Zevis" she explains.

Romin: 1500 - 500

Prima Guitarna the Shining Superstar: Atk 2200 → 2800

Esperade the Smashing Superstar: Atk/2500 → 3100

'Romin...Roa...I used to look up to you two a lot admiring your confidence and lover for performing while being in the sidelines as your back-up singer...but now things are different... You stabbed me in the back, you both did and I'm going to humiliate you both so bad you wish you've never form this band in the first place!' Zevis thinks determined

"Oh, yeah baby! Go Rocking refrain!" Romin cheers "When my life points, drops below a thousand, Esperade destroys two of your monsters!" she explains shocking Gavin and Luke while looking worried for Zevis. 

But to Yuga's surprise, he sees that Zevis' calm and not intimidated by either of this, is like he was expecting this to happened but then remembers the third face down card that he played at the beginning of Zevis first turn.

"I destroy Carla and Salamander" Romin states as her strongest monster attempts to attack.

Zevis then smirks making Roa gasps "I'm hitting the mute button, Romin! Because I activate my third trap, Bottomless Trap Hole!" he reveals his third facedown card.

"What!?" Romin questions out of shock.

"When he get his hands on that card!?" Roa questions out of disbelief.

"Bottomless trap hole?" Luke repeats

"It's in the name this card activates When your opponent Summons a monster(s) with fifteen hundred or more attack points Destroy that monster(s) and if you do, you can banish it" Gavin explains.

"Since Both Prima Guitarna and Esperade have higher attack points than fifteen hundred due to this trap they're banished from play" Yuga adds.

Prima Guitarna and Esperade were sucked into a purple and red hole while screaming with agony much to Romin's shock.

"Now what are you going to do?" he asks.

"I... End my turn..." Romin finishes.

Zevis draws four more cards "I'm switching Carla back to attack position"

Aerial Buddy Carla: Atk/500

"Carla attack Romin Directly! Neko Barrage!" he calls out as his weakest monster charges at Romin and hits her with a barrage of punches with her paws while Romin loses her remaining points.

Romin: 500 - 0

Everyone remained silent with what just happened "Just to let you know, I was holding back... way back" he said before turning to leaving the shocked audience as Romin falls down on her knees.
