Part 13

Manik and Nandini stayed in each other's arms for sometime. Nandini is the one who broke the silence.

"Manik..."
"Hmm..."
"Do you think... Amms will be able to accept this relationship... will she accompany you in my life..." she asked still resting her head on his chest.

He moved backwards a little and lift her face with his finger.
"As far as I have noticed... Amms is somewhat insecure in letting you go... maybe because she wanted to see you fulfilling her dreams. No doubt you are a very good dancer... but maybe she thinks that I'm a bit distraction for you. So maybe she will not accept this relationship easily..." Manik said calmly not to make Nandini panic.

But Nandini got panicked. " you think so... what if she doesn't accept our relationship.. main tou mar jaaungi.... I can't live without you... I can't even concentrate on the dance.." she held tightly to Manik as if she's not letting him go. Not now, not ever.

Manik felt happy and secure feeling her grip on him. He was relaxed that she loves him as much he loves her.

"I know, even I can't live without you.. I won't even imagine my life without you... remember you gave a new life to me. You are my life saver. How can I let you go..." he hugged her again.
"But on the other hand... Amms is our family... we can't make her upset and be happy in our lives right....so..." he pulled her away from him and cupped her face in his hands gently.
"I want you to be prepared for everything. Whether it's Amms anger , her rejection or her insecurities.... just give her time... she will come around."
"Once she figures out the depth of our love and our seriousness, she will definitely see that we are meant to be together...." his voice was so deep that Nandini almost lost in his voice.

She was amazed and moved by his understanding towards her Amms.
"How can you be so calm and relaxed.... she is my Amms. I know how she is. And I'm so scared what if she's gonna reject it or what if she's gonna not accept us.... but you are so calm. Not even afraid f getting separated..." she held his shoulders and shook him.

He gave a lopsided smile to her. That takes her breath away.
"Sweetheart, yeh hamari family hai... they won't be upset with us or be mad with us for long. They will eventually come to terms with us in the end. But if they show some hard time and tantrums then we should let them do it. Because they are our own flesh and blood. They can't see us unhappy. They always wanted us to be happy. Ok.. " Manik's words soothes her and gave more courage to her.

"Ok I will try to be as strong as you and as confident as you..." she smiled.

"And if there's any kind of misunderstanding that happens... than promise me that you will not lose hope and give up ok... you have to stay put and wait for the right time..." he was preparing her for all kinds of situations.

"Why are you saying like this..." she got scared by his talks.

"I'm just trying to prepare you for every situation... that's all... because one thing is definite... no one... I mean no one can separate us in this whole wide world.... keep this in your mind..." his eyes was so determined that even Nandini got shaken up by that.

"I will not let anyone in this world to separate us... do you understand that..." he asked him with more confidence.
"Yes..." she nodded her head and answered.
"Never forget that..." he said.
"Ok let's go and sleep. It's too late. I have a big mission tomorrow...." he said covering her shoulders with his arms.

"What mission..." she asked tilting her face.
"Arey baba... bhool gayi.... Amms se baat jo karna hai..." he gave a tap on her head.
"Oh yeah..." she smiled too.

Next morning as usual Amms was rehearsing on the roof like everyday. Her soft and melodious voice was echoing in the vastness of morning before sunrise.

Manik didn't get comfortable sleep. He was planning to talk to Amms the whole night. Plus he was enjoying the company of Nandini after her confession.

Amms didn't hear his footsteps as she was busy with her rehearsal. He took silent steps and came behind her. He was enjoying her melodious voice.

She was done after a while. As she turned around she saw Manik standing there enjoying her music.

"Tum!  Tum kab aaye..." she asked with a not do welcoming tone. Manik figured out that she didn't like his visit. But still he calmed himself down and bend down to take her blessings.

"Good morning Amms..." he said.

She didn't touch him. She didn't answer him. He noticed it.

"We didn't meet officially. But I'm sure you know about me... I'm Manik Malhotra. " he said.

"I know..." Amms answers very roughly.

"I wanted to meet you before. But I didn't get a chance. I heard a lot about you from Nandini. I'm really impressed that at this age you still run a music school.." he paused. He tried to read Amms facial expressions but she was facing the opposite way so he couldn't know what she was thinking.

"I must say you have a very beautiful voice..." he was praising her with good words. He kept quiet for few minutes. He wanted to talk about the proposal Nanu has given them for Nandini. He was preparing himself to discuss everything. But,

Seeing him quiet Amms started talking.

"Tum Kyun aaye ho Nandini ki zindagi mein. Chale jaao. Uski zindagi se bahut dur chale jaao. Tum agar uski zindagi mein nahi rahoge tou woh apni manzil per concentrate kar sakegi. Usse world famous dancer banna hai. Tumhare saath woh tou shaadi karke ghar sambhalne mein busy ho jaayegi..." Amms was just blurting out her heart feelings without any hesitation.

Manik was stunned hearing her thoughts he came here to convince her to hand over Nandini's responsibility to him, so that he can take care of her dreams and fulfill it. But,
Here Amms don't even trust him for a single second.

" Maine Nandu per bahut mehnat ki hai. Usko yahan tak laane ke liye. Usse achi dancer banane ke liye. Tum uske liye bahut hi bada distraction ban Gaye ho. Agar tumhari wajah se Nandu ka irada thoda sa bhi dagmagaya  tou main tumhe aur Nandu ko kabhi maaf nahi karungi..." she continued.

"Issilye behtar yahi hai ki tum uski zindagi se dur chale jaao.." she said in a decisive tone.

Manik went silent for a minute. Then he turned to her and said.
"Amms you think I'm the distraction for her. How can you think like that..." Manik's voice was very calm when he was talking to her. But in his mind a war has been going on.
Leaving Nandini and going away from her. It's like separating his breath from his body. Separating his soul from him.

He wanted to explain Amms that he's not a hurdle in Nandini's life. But he wanted to walk with her in every step of her life as a partner, fulfilling all her dreams.

"Amms I wanted to fulfill all her dreams. Whatever she want to achieve in her life, I wanted to help her in achieving it. You have to trust me in this. I want to be there as her shadow. As her partner. So that when she needs a shoulder to rest then she will find me by her side..."

"This is what I'm trying to explain you..." Amms cut him in the middle.
"I don't want her to feel weak. I don't want her to need any shoulder or support. I want her to be strong enough to handle everything by her own. Fight this world and grab her goal. Without anyone's help. I don't want her to rely on anyone. Not even you..." she took a breath and continued.
"And if you stay in her life, than you can be her weakness. Her concentration will get diverted. Love! Love makes people weak..."

"No Amms you are wrong. Love makes people stronger. That they can fight any odds. And I can prove you that..." he answers her.

"Those are all words. Kitabi baatien hai. Kitabon mein hi achi lagti hain..." she turned to face Manik with a strong face.

"Yehi mera akhri faisla hai. Tum uski zindagi se dur chale jaao. Taki woh apni manzil asaani se haasil jar sake..." she quite down and waited for his answer.

"Are you sure Amms, that if I go away from her life then she will achieve her dream without any hurdles. What if you are wrong. What if Nandini will not accept your decision and come after me. What if she will refuse to achieve her dreams without me by her side..." he asked her the questions which is bothering Amms too. But she said.

"You don't have to worry about that part. You just came in her life few weeks ago. Her dream is more stronger than your relationship. She will definitely concentrate on her goal when you are not there in front of her..." she said with confidence, but she herself is not sure if Nandini could be able to do it or not. She wanted no distraction for Nandini right now.

"Ok Amms. If you wanted it this way than this way it is..."
"I came here to convince you that I will be Nandini's backbone and I will be there for her whenever and wherever she needed me. But I couldn't convince you.
I wanted to take your blessings and make our relationship official so that she cannot feel alone when she go for her dream. But you don't have trust in me.
I will go away from her life. As per your wish.
But.
I want you to promise me something..." his eyes were requesting. But Amms didn't look at him.

"If she comes after me, than you won't stop her. You will not come in the middle and become a hurdle for both of us. You have to leave it up to us to achieve her dream. However it will take..." he said.

"That will not happen. She will not come after you. I'm sure of that. I know my Nandini..." again Amms make a stubborn statement very convincingly. She knows that she will make Nandini emotionally blackmailed and stopped her from going after him.

"I know you are her grandmother. You have your ways to stop her. But you have to be fair. You cannot blackmail her or put yourself into stake. Just let her do what she feels right. I'm listening to you and following your order. So you have to keep a fair bargain. At least I deserve this much..." he halted for few seconds.

"If you believe it than let me tell you. I love her. I love her more than anything in this world. Her desires, her dreams and her wishes are my commands. I feel obliged to fulfill it. But you are not giving me a chance..."

"You are a very strong lady. I really salute you for your strong decisions and your beliefs. Nandini is your granddaughter. She has all your traits. She will definitely achieve her goals. But in the end aisa na ho ke aap uske dreams fulfill karne mein kahin uske hoton ki hasi aur muskutahat na cheen le... just be careful..." Manik turned around after finishing, with a heavy heart and walked away from Amms without looking back.

Amms stood there silently. She has to do something to make Nandini stay away from him. By hook or by crook.

He came in his room with a very sad and upsetting mood. Nandini is gone already because both of them decided that as soon as she wake up she will go back to the main house. He didn't wanted to talk to anyone right now. He went on the terrace to think about what just happened.

Everyone was still asleep. His eyes got moist thinking the conversation he just have with Amms.
He has to go away from his life. Leaving his soul here. Leaving his breath here. How will he manage to breathe without her. His Nandini. Since a long time he wasn't even sleeping without her. She became his habit.

Tears formed and fell on his cheek. He wiped it off. He thought he has to be strong. For his Nanu. Because he can't show her his pain. Otherwise his Nanu will be very worried.

He will try very hard to live for few days without Nandini. It will be close to impossible. But he will try. Because he's sure that she will definitely fight for her love. She will come for him. Don't know how long it will take but he has full faith in his love. She will come.

In the breakfast table the whole family plus Nanu, Manik , Dhruv and Aliya was present. Amms find a chance and said.

"Nandu Navya after breakfast go and get ready. We are going to our neighboring village to meet my friend. She is sick. She couldn't come to my birthday party. But she is so eager to meet you both. So I told her that we are coming today..." after saying this Amms looked at Manik.

Manik smirked . He understood that Amms has already made the plans to separate him from Nandini. But he also is not giving in and show his vulnerable side to her.

He looked at Amms. His gaze met hers. It seems like she is telling him that
'See I can still hold a command on them. You take care of yourself and pack up your bags from here...'

One person is noticing the staring contest going on at the table. Cabir. He is noticing everything.

"But Amms I'm leaving tomorrow. I wanted to spend some time with the family..." Nandini's voice grabbed all the attention.

"You can still spend the time with the family when we come back. We will be back before sunset..." Amms answers.

"Yea Nandini. Go and have fun. It's just for today..." Nandini's dad Vishnu said in the middle. He didn't know what's going on.

They were done with the food and everyone got up. Nandini and Navya went in their respective rooms to get ready.

When the hall was empty. Cabir got the opportunity to talk to Manik.

He was reading Manik's expressions since they have their breakfast. He figured that there's something fishy. He walked towards Manik after everyone was gone.

"What did Amms said..." he asked straight away without any warning or explanation.

"Huh... what did you say..." Manik acted as if he didn't hear him.

Cabir's frustration level increases. "Don't test my patience Manik. I know something happened between you and Amms. So come straight to the point. What did she say..." his patience is going off slowly.

"Wow actually..." Manik didn't wanted to create a scene.
"It's nothing serious..." before he could say more Cabir said in the middle.

"Did she asked you to leave..."

Manik fell silent. He bend his head down. His silence revealed most of the things.

"So I was right. She asked you to leave and you agreed. You didn't fight with her. You just accepted your defeat without any further argument..." Cabir's mood went off and he got mad.

Manik looked straight into his eyes.
"Come with me..." Manik walked without looking back.

Cabir followed him to the terrace. Once they were on the roof, Manik turned to Cabir and said.
"Kya sunna chahte ho. Amms asked me to leave..." he asked sarcastically.
"Yes she asked me to leave and I agreed..."

"But why????" Cabir's face has a big question hanging.

"Because she didn't want me around Nandini. She thinks that I'm a distraction for her..." Manik said disappointingly.

"Tou, you should have convinced her. Explain her how you feel about her..." Cabir is mad with Manik's reaction, because he didn't know about the conversation Manik and Amms has.

"What do you think Cabir? Tum kya samajhte ho, ki I didn't try to convince her or explain her anything. I did. I tried everything. But she didn't wanted to listen to me. At all..."

"So you agreed on her conditions..." Cabir got more mad and cuts him off. He pushed Manik with his hand. "And decided to leave Nandini here and go away... couldn't you have been fight for her or convince your love for her..."

"Aur kya karta main... what choice do I have. She is Nandini's grandmother" Manik raises his voice.
"Tum kya chahte thei ki main Amms se badtameezi karta... or disrespect her or what.... ya Nandini ko bhaga kar le jaata yahan se...." Manik looked at him with anger and sarcasm.

"Yeah that would have been the correct decision. Main Nandini ko yahan se bhagaa kar le jaata. Kyun. Tum bhi tou yahi karte na. Agar Meri jaga hote tou..." he asked Cabir a question which brings him to the reality.

Cabir went quiet . He turned around away from Manik.
"Why are you quiet Cabir. Tum Meri jagah hote aur Navya ke saath aisi koi situation aati tou Tum usse bhagaa kar le jaate! Haan bolo..." Manik asked again with a lower voice.

"Nahin naa... I knew it..." seeing Cabir quiet Manik continued.
"We are talking about family here. We can't take decisions making our family unhappy. Main yahan issliye nahi aaya ki Nandini ke ghar waalon ko naraaz Karoon aur Nandini se shaadi kar loon..." he took a deep breath.
"I came here to take everyone's blessings and ask Nandini in marriage... I know almost all of you are ok with this relationship. But if Amms is not convinced and happy then I will try all my best to make her convinced. Not by making her angry...."

When he finished Cabir has only one person in his mind.

"What about Nandini. Woh tou toot jaayegi. Jab Woh wapas aayegi, when she don't find you she will breakdown..."

Before Cabir says anything else Manik stopped him.
"Tum kis din kaam aaoge. Woh tumhe apne bhai se bhi ziyaada chahti hai. And if I'm not wrong, you love her like your own daughter. You should not let her breakdown. You and Navya should handle her very delicately.... and after seeing her devastation and how she will miss me, I think Amms will herself bring her to me. I'm sure of it...". Manik said confidently.

Cabir rubbed his hands on his face.
"You are giving a very tough task to me Manik. I can't see her tears. How will I make her comfortable when she don't find you here..." Cabir is more worried now.

Manik walked near him and patted his shoulder.
"Don't lose hope. I know you will handle her. It's just a matter of few days. Then trust me Amms will bring her to me..." he said.

"How are you so sure..." Cabir has doubts on Amms.

"Jab Amms Nandini ki eyes mein woh tadap dekhegi jo unhone Meri aankhon mein Dekhi hai. Tou woh Nandini ko mujhse Milne se nahi rok sakegi. Trust me..." Manik explained him.

"I don't know man. I'm worried for Nandini... I don't know what will happen." Cabir said.

"Don't worry... sab theek ho jaayega..." Manik hugged Cabir.

"Ok let me go now. She will come looking for me to say bye. I will see you before I leave..." he patted Cabir's shoulder like a best friend and left from there.

She came looking for Manik in his room. He wasn't there. She knew where to find him. She came out of his room and went to the backdoor. The pathway that followed to the place where they spend their nights together.

She found him standing with his back facing her. She hugged him from the back.
"I found you... why are you here..." she asked cheerfully not aware of anything that's going on with him.

He took a deep breath and turned around to grab her in his arms. To take her and immerse her in himself so that he can stay away from her for few days.

He held her so tightly to him, that she can feel every hard muscle of him to her every soft welcoming part of her body. His touch made her body ache.

She knew that there's something different in this hug. She couldn't pin point exactly what it is. She twined her arms up to his shoulders and slipped her hands up to hers neck. She didn't know when his lips were on hers.

Manik moves his mouth over hers, caressing her, feeling her, and filling her with anticipation. Nandini parted her lips to catch her breath and Manik swept inside. She wanted what he was offering and he needed the excitement of touching her, tasting her.

But, this is not the time. His desperateness can make her realize that there's something wrong, and he can't afford to reveal that now. Not at least when he has some other plans today.

He separated himself from her. She was drowned in his extreme kiss and his closeness. Her eyes were closed. She looked like a goddess of love whose every inch is drowned in his love.

He gave a kiss on her forehead to bring her back from her fantasies.

She opened her eyes.
"Kya hua... aaj itna... desperateness kyun.." she asked getting concerned.

"Tumhe chodne ka mann nahi kar raha..." he pressed his forehead to hers.

He started singing in a very mesmerizing tone.

Her body is pressed closely to hers. She felt something in his words. Something very sad. She couldn't understand why he is feeling so sad.

"If you say than I won't go... I'll give Amms any excuse..." she touched his cheek with her hand lovingly.

He smiled. He knew. This will happen. His Nandini will not leave him in this devastating condition. But he didn't wanted her to take this step now.

"No. Amms will not like it. You go with her and spend some time with her. We will have lots of time for ourselves..." he said convincing himself to let her go. He didn't know when he will be able to see her after this meeting.

"Then don't be so sad. If you are this sad then how will I go leaving you in this condition..." she have no idea that Manik will not be here when she returns.

He smiled and cupped her soft and soothing face in his callous hands.
"Okay baba... I won't be sad. I will spend some time with Cabir in your absence. And I will learn more about the horse breeds. Theek hai..."

She looked at him doubtfully.

He tried to convince her again.
"Pakka... I won't be sad...." but he didn't promise. Because he knew that he won't be able to keep it.

"Promise..." she asked the unexpected question.

"I told you na. I won't be sad and I won't be upset. I will spend the time exploring your estate with Cabir. We will have some to ourselves. And we will catch up the old times too... Okay..." he avoided the promise. Asking forgiveness from her in his heart.

'I'm sorry Nandini. I'm lying to you. But I don't have any choice.'

"Okay... then I will see in the evening..." she said. Manik didn't reply but just gave a smile.

After Nandini left with Amms and Navya, Manik came to Dhruv and Aliya's room. He knocked the door which was already open.

"Dhruv, we are leaving in one hour. Can you please pack your bags..." he said.

"But Manik,..." Dhruv wanted to asked something. But Manik cuts him off.

"Please Dhruv. Don't ask any questions.. please.." he lifted his hand to stop Dhruv. He turned to Aliya and said.

"Aliya can you please help Nanu to pack her bags. I have some important work. I'll be right back..."

Aliya nodded her head.

Manik came looking for Nandini's parents.

He found them in the backyard drinking their after breakfast tea.

He stepped in the deck and grabbed their attention.

"Ahem Ahem," he cleared his throat.

"Arey Manik bete aao.. wahan kyun khade ho.." Nirmala called him offering a seat.

He sat on the chair Nirmala offers and said
"Sorry to disturb you guys. But I have something to tell you..." he looked at Vishnu.

"Go ahead son. You don't have to hesitate in saying anything to us.." Vishnu makes him comfortable.

"Uncle and Aunty. I have to leave today for Mumbai. Office mein koi emergency aa gayi hai. So I have to leave now..." he said shifting in his place.

Nirmala and Vishnu, Nandini's parents exchange their looks.
"But beta, Nandini ka wait tou kar lo. Woh few hours mein aa jaayegi..." Nirmala said getting concerned about Nandini.

"Woh actually Aunty, I have to leave right now so I won't be able to wait for her. Otherwise I would have leave tomorrow with her..." Manik tried to hide his expressions.

Vishnu understood there's something not right here. He knew that Manik went to talk to Amms in the morning. But he didn't know what it was. Because Vishnu also wakes up early in the morning every day.

"Manik. Tell me something honestly. Amma be tum se kuch kaha hai Kya?" Vishnu asked seriously.

Manik got surprised by his question. He turned his face away from him to avoid any inconvenience.
"No uncle! she didn't say anything to me. Why do you think she said something. It's just that I have an emergency in my office so I have to leave early. Otherwise I would have waited for Nandini. Waise bhi Nandini is coming tomorrow naa, so she will understand...." he said everything very fast. And before Vishnu says something else Manik turned to him and said.

"If you'll excuse me. I will tell Nanu to get ready and I have to pack..." without waiting for his reply he bend down and touched Vishnu's and Nirmala's feet and took their blessings and left from there.

Vishnu turned towards Nirmala and said.
"I'm hundred percent sure, Amma ne zaroor iss ladke se kuch kaha hai. Warna yeh ladka Nandini se bina mile jaane ki kabhi baat nahi karta. Pata nahi Amma ko ho Gaya hai. Kisi ki baat samajhna nahi chahti..."

Nirmala also got worried.
"Kahin Amma ki zidd mein itna acha rishta hamare haath se na nikal jaaye... even I like Manik for Nandini. He is a very sincere boy..." she said in a worried tone.

"Tum fikar na karo. I won't let that happen..." Vishnu thought something and said.

After few hours Manik , Nanu ,  Dhruv and Aliya was the waiting in the boarding lounge for their flight at the airport.

Dhruv came holding two cups of coffee in his hands and sat beside Manik on the empty chair. He handed him the coffee and stretched. After taking a sip from his coffee he turned to Manik and asked.

"Ab bata... kya baat hai. Why did you leave that place in such a hurry...".

Manik got surprised by his question. He tried to avoid it but Dhruv said.
"Don't tell me that you have to go for some emergency or something else. Because I know. When you can manage one full week then one more day is not a big deal. So don't even try to dodge my question..."

Manik fell silent and started thinking.
"Aisi kya baat hai Manik. Jo tujhe itna sonchna pad raha hai..." Dhruv asked again.

"It's nothing important..." he tried to avoid again.
"If you Don't want to tell me than that's a different story..." Dhruv mind that Manik is not opening up to him.

"Actually the thing is Nandini's Amms..." and he told the whole scenario to him.

Dhruv took a big sigh.
"These old people sometimes becomes so stubborn that they don't see the feelings of their own people. I wonder how will Nandini react when she don't see you after she comes back..." he said Manik.

"Not all the old people are like that. Nanu is different..." Manik proses his grandma.

"But to be frank. I'm very worried about Nandini. Pata nahi uss per kya guzregi..." Manik got really worried.
"I hope she takes the situation calmly..." he continued.

Nandini went straight to Manik's room when she came back. Manik wasn't in the room. She smiled and thought that he is waiting for her in the same place and turned to go outside. She didn't noticed that there's no luggage or Manik's things were lying around.

But she stopped in front of Nanu's room. It was clean and no Nanu in the room. She peaked in and checked around. Nothing there. She went back to Manik's room again and checked the whole room and the bathroom. Nothing there too.

Her heart started beating faster. She ran to Dhruv's and Aliya's room. Nope. They were not there too. Their things are gone. She came out of the outhouse and ran to the terrace like a crazy person.

Her forehead started showing sweat beads.
"Kahan chale Gaye yeh log..." she climbed the stairs skipping few of them stumbling on it.

"Manik..." she called him.
She didn't get any reply. How will she get any answer when her Manik is gone miles away from her.

She came running down with a scared and thundering heart.
"Nanu..." she called Nanu this time.
"Aise kaise jaa sakte hain, mujhe bina bataye..."
"How can they just leave like that..." she was blabbering around with tears falling from her eyes. Her hair got messed up with all the running and searching around.

In the same condition she came to the main house where Amms was resting after a tiring journey.
Vishnu and Nirmala was waiting for Nandini to come out from the outhouse.
They knew that their daughter will be devastated when she learned about the disappearance of Manik and his family. They couldn't do anything.

As soon as she enters the living room hall she asked with an uneven tone because of the fast beating heart.
"Amma appa where is Manik and his family..." before Vishnu replies Amms came in the middle.

"Arey Nandu! You didn't change. Go get fresh first..." she said casually. Like nothing happened. She understood that Manik Obeyed her order and left Mangalore.

Nandini looked at Amms with a disbelief. She ignored her and asked again.
"Amma.. where is Manik..." with a very tough tone.

"Beta woh..." Nirmala started to say but Amms came in the middle again.

"Nandu Maine kya kaha.. go get fresh first..."

"Nooo..." Nandini screamed.
"I want to know where Manik and his family is..."
what's going on. Her condition is very hyper. She couldn't understand what's happening.
Is this some kind of a joke. Or is it some planned scheme. Something is majorly wrong here. She wants the answer.

Vishnu rises from his chair and came to Nandini. He hold her by her shoulders and makes her sit down on the chair.
"Nandu Beta, calm down. Manik ko koi emergency aa gayi thi. That's why he has to go back urgently... he said he will meet you in Mumbai tomorrow..." Vishnu explains Nandini and gave a look at his mother. As if warning her that don't even think about saying anything else.

"But appa how can he leave without telling me. How can he just leave like that..." Nandini's eyes didn't stop flowing. She wiped her eyes and turned to her father.

"Why didn't he call me..." she asked.
"Maybe he called you Beta.. maybe he couldn't reach you... you just relax and get changed. We will talk after you get fresh..." Vishnu tried all his best to calm her down.

Nandini was still in a disbelieving state. She don't believe that Manik can leave without informing her. She can't just wait here and see what will happen. She has to go to Mumbai. Yes she has to go to Mumbai now. She makes up her mind and got up from her chair.

"Appa, I'm going to Mumbai. Now..." she held on to her father's hand and said in a begging way.
"Appa can you please book me the ticket for tonight. I want to go to Mumbai now..."

"But Beta, you already have a flight tomorrow. Just relax and take rest tonight. You can leave tomorrow..." Vishnu tried to explain her. But Nandini is not ready to listen to anything.

Amms is watching all the drama without saying anything.

"Appa please. I want to go tonight. Please Appa..." she literally begged.

Her mother Nirmala is also watching her daughters devastation. But she couldn't do anything.

"Ok ok let me check. But first calm down. Go get fresh and eat something..." Vishnu kept his hand on her head.

"No appa, first check if there's any flight available or not..." Nandini insists.

"Acha baba I will check..." Vishnu gave up on her insistence. He took out his cell phone to dial someone.

Amms control and her tolerance level also gave up. She rose up from her chair and said in a very firm tone.

"No one is going anywhere. Not tonight nor tomorrow... Vishnu put the phone down and come with me... I have something important to tell you..." she yelled.

Nandini froze in her place.
"But why Amms..." before Amms could leave the hall. Nandini's voice stopped her.
