.:*WARNING TO ALL THAT DO NOT WISH TO HAVE THE SECOND SEASON SPOILED FOR THEM!!! Do not read the rest of this book if you have a problem with spoilers! I am following the storyline of the manga as closely as I can, and that means continuing onward. *:.

3rd person P.O.V. (omg I'm using this a lot more than I imagined. Sorry. Lol.)

The Survey corps have split up; all going their separate ways to warn the people of Wall Rose. Hanji, Levi, and Mike were the leaders for the south squad. All three riding up front and always three paces ahead of Eren, Mikasa, and Armin.

All three were jumpy today. And all gave concerned looks to their small, bald friend whose eyes were as wide as golfballs. Connie Springer grew up on the south side of Wall Rose.

Where the Titans most possibly breached the wall.

Sasha had split up and moved north, having grown up in that region in a small hunting village. Both Reiner and Bertholt agreed to go with him to his village as to not leave him alone. Suddenly, there was a loud

THUD.

Eren looked back, and there were the Titans. Quietly moseying their way, then broke out into a run once they spotted the humans.

"THEYRE CHASING US!!" A cadet screamed. Mike raced off, telling his second in command to move onward. He started to gallop toward the Titan, and the cadets didn't look back.

"He's only second to corporal Levi Rivalle! He'll make it back and join with us, because he's only playing bait." The new man in charge calmed the others.

"Yeah! He'll lay them all!"

But Mike would not come back. In fact, he believed he would himself; only having to slay four more Titans. He whistled for his horse, and that's when he saw it.

A titan seventeen meters tall, and covered in fur simply walking through a forest as if it were a patch of grass. He could easily be classed a a variant, but how? The variant titan stooped down and picked up Mike's horse! Something a titan has never done: hurt animals other than humans. Mike began to grow scared, a feeling he hadn't felt since joining the Survey Regiment, and he flew to the ground as the titan threw the horse his way. And when Mike looked up, he was in the mouth of a Titan, and being stared at by the variant.

"Do not eat him." The variant commanded the tiny titan that ground his teeth into Mike's legs. He let out a scream of pure pain. "I said-"

He squashed the small titan in his hands.

"-do not eat him." Mike crawled into a tiny ball and almost cried to himself hysterically. What should he do?!? No titan in the history of the world has ever spoken, or stopped to not eat him. The titan tilted his head at Mike, taking a close look at his 3DMG.

"That gear, it's what lets you fly through the air, no?" The titan asked, but of course, Mike did not answer. He felt something pull the metal gear from his back, and with that, the titan stood up and walked away, but not before saying to a titan close to Mike,

"You may eat him now." At this point, Mike had gotten off the ground with anger in his eyes.

"WHY?!? YOU TITANS AREARE THE REASON WE ARE FIGHTING!! STOP THIS!!" He yelled, but the variant titan didn't look back, and listened as the breeze carried Mike's screams of torture through the air. Then the wind was silent again.

There was the sound of metal cables latching onto a tree next to the variant. Turning, he could see a human, shrouded in a tattered uniform and forest green cloak going to her heels with the hood up.

"Why are you doing this?!?" It appeared to be a woman, she hissed at the Titan. "Mike was protecting his own kind! That's what you wanted to do too!!"

"Not anymore." The variant replied. To think; a titan and human having a true conversation in the middle of a war. The woman's stance was cold as snow, and behind her could be heard a million footsteps of Titans. They stood behind her; awaiting orders. She turned to them, while her cloak blew in the wind dramatically, a hawk squaked above nosily as it rested on the shoulder of a Titan with blue eyes, and grey hair to her shoulders.

"Retreat!" The woman commanded, and the Titans began to shuffle away.

And so did the woman along with them.

"Move you're asses cadets!" Levi snapped angrily. His eyes were becoming irritated from the hairs flying into his eyeballs.

After three hours since the first titan spotting, Levi had taken down three to four titans, and warned two farming villages. He was going for a third village now with Hanji. They entered the wooden housed village along the dirt road.

"Titans have been spotted!" Hanji calls out.

But no one comes out to reply. Levi signals for her to follow, and he demounted his horse to follow the gruesome sound of flesh. Pushing one door open cautiously, there stood a five-meter titan; caking chunks out of a villager.

Terror still fresh on her face.

There was a whimper from somewhere inside the house. Hanji quickly entered, and was careful not to catch the Titan's eye. Levi decided it was best to sneak attack the thing, and began to creep up. There; he froze when he saw pure white hair on the titan.

Exactly like Elise Frost's.

This wasn't his weakness, if anything, the name, the physical appearance of her kept him fighting through a pit of hell. He sliced the nape of its neck as it began to turn around.

"Woah Levi! You could've kept some of it alive for me to study!" Hanji pouted as she held the frightened kid her hands.

"Pfft. Wasn't happening." Was his only reply.
