Elise's P.O.V.

I couldn't move a muscle for what felt like years, but in reality it was only a week. Let's just say, suddenly healing from a serious injury like that can make a few people start to get suspicious, Ya know? I mean, I still have a scar across my torso, and it's red and hurts sometimes when I twist the wrong way, but still, other than that, I'm fine. Levi's been avoiding me, as well as Eren, and I feel really empty without talking to them. What I've heard is that the military police demand that we hand over Eren, but that isn't happening.

I won't let it.

"Hey, Mikasa," I asked her the morning I was allowed out of my cage. My room had felt like that, and I now felt as free as a bird!! "Where's Logan? Levi said he was sleeping off his injuries." Her face went a bit pale, and her spoon dropped into her porridge.

"LEVI!!" Mikasa yelled in anger as she entered Erwin's office with my wrist tightly in her grip. "Tell her the truth, you heartless bastard." My eyes widened at her words, but widened even more as Levi sighed in what seemed like defeat.

"I thought she would forget." He mumbled to himself, pulling out a thick envelope; the signature stamp of my brother on the back.

Dearest Elise Frost

That's what was written on the front. My heart raced as I could hear it in my ears. My hands shook, but no tears came. He lied to me!! That night, a week ago. Well, yet, in a way he was right. He was sleeping; I simply interpreted it wrong. Though I knew what his motives were, and his judgement on the matter, I pulled back my fist,

And punched him with all my might in his jaw.

I could hear Erwin stutter in shock, and even Mikasa had her eyes wide by this moment. I drew back my fist again, but instead made contact with his palm before I hit him in the cheek. I could see a purple bruise already forming under his jaw, and creeping up toward his gunmetal eyes. He did not say anything, didn't even move, but I felt his fingers tighten around my fist.

"Everyone. Leave." He ordered, seeing that once Mikasa and Erwin were out of the room and far away, he gazed at me.

"You bastard!" I finally cried, anger in my eyes, not tears, but pure hatred. He let him die!! He was alive!! I would have no problem if he died at the hands of a titan, but he could've saved him!! HE HAD THE CHANCE!! I felt my head hit something soft, and I felt a hand being put protectively on the back of my head.

"I tried." Levi finally spoke with a leveled voice. "I tried with all my might, but in the end, he chose to save you out of you two." I looked up at him, feeling his other arm softly place itself across my back.

"I was..." He trailed off, as if he didn't know what to say. "These feelings, shame, guilt, remorse...saddness, I haven't felt them since my only friends died." He shared, looking up to the ceiling.

"Farlan was a lot like your brother, while you are much Like Isabelle."

Isabelle? Farlan? Who are they? He stayed holding me, only letting me out of the embrace when I asked to play my piano in remorse. Even then, he held my hand tightly.

I'll never admit it, but it was like that hand was the only thing stopping me from a breakdown.

"Here's the plan." Erwin set out a detailed map of Wall Sina. Levi, Hanji, Armin, Mikasa, Eren, and I were huddled around our leader. "Jean Kirstine will act as Eren as he, Armin, Mikasa, and Elise lead Annie away from the city." It didn't come as quite a shock that Annie was the female titan. In fact, I confirmed it.

"So what are you going to do?" I asked Levi as he sat back in his chair. He shrugged, taking the moment to massage his ankle.

"For once, Shit White, I'm out of commission." He grumbled angrily. Erwin folded up the map, and showed us to the door.

"Let us begin the journey." Erwin stated, saddling up his horse as we did as well, but Eren entered a carriage as to not grow suspicions about our plan. Levi never left my side throughout the whole ride, giving me quick glances from time to time. That night, we stayed at a village not far off from Wall Sina. There, squads were broken up and slept in tents. Levi, Eren, and I had our own personal tents, but at this moment, I sat around our small campfire as Levi pushed the twigs around in the flames. Eren had long since gone to bed; leaving me alone with the shortie.

"Hey, Levi?" I spoke up after an hour of complete silence. He lifted his eyes, but not his head. "Who am I? I mean, to everyone, because I don't honestly know why I am here anymore." I instantly saw his head snap up, and he murmured something under his breath.

"You're Elise Fucking Frost." He answered. "You've solo killed 345 titans, became a friend to all," he looked directly at me as he stood up and walked closer to me.

"And you're strong. Stronger than god, stronger than these walls." I smiled at him, embracing him in a hug. Levi froze, causing me to chuckle when he finally did hug back.

"Bitch." He whispered cooly into my ear, giving me goosebumps.

"Shorty Jerk." I replied before letting my mind succumb to the darkness that was sleep.
