Dancing with the king

The dress atop is Elise's she wears when she goes to the ball.

Logan's P.O.V.

"What? Come again?" Elise asked, almost falling off Allegro as we raced behind Erwin back to HQ.

"You heard me Elise. I need five representatives to accompany me to a ball held for the regiments. You and Logan are two of them." Erwin sighed at my sister, but we both knew that's not what she was worried about.

"No. I mean the sentence afterwards." She emphasized.

"What, the sentence that said you may possibly be a titan shifter like Eren because of what happened when we were kids?" I asked, a confused and innocent look on my face, but a devious smile underneath.

"Yes, that. I'm not a titan! I've cut myself accidentally before while making dinner, and I can tell you, it did not heal." I commented, showing sarcasm in my voice.

"Still, why did that titan stop? Was there anything during the attack on Trost that seemed strange to you?" Logan placed his hand over my tightened one, comforting it in the only way he knew how. Should I tell them? About the titan that talked?

"Well.." I shifted uncomfortably on Allegro, seeing her slow down to a trot. "There was."

"And?"

"It spoke to me. Said some really weird stuff I don't know." I went on to tell them about almost being eaten again, the titan stating none of them like this war raging between us, and the power I have to stop this war. At first, Erwin did not speak, by simply looked ahead in shock, and then regained his composure.

"You two may leave, but speak to no one of this." He was very specific about not saying a word. We raced ahead, White Flame nibbling at Allegro's ear playfully. I punched my brother's arm softly, laughing at him for a reason I couldn't remember.

"So what are we gonna do about that ball?" Logan asked, and I shrugged.
"Pull out the old suit and dress?" I suggested.

"Seems like it. We don't have time for anything else."

~~~~~~~~~~Lé epic time skip
The ball is tonight, and Erwin had chosen the representatives for the Scouting Legion would be Logan, Levi, Hanji, Armin, and I. They were all chosen for a good reason, and I'm amazed I was suggested by the king himself to come. Of course, Logan and Jean teased me about it, ending with a large bump on both of their heads. The rest of the week was used to patch up my beautiful green and cream colored cocktail dress; given to me by my brother during our years as trainees. I wore my fancy high heels and kept my hair in its pixie cut. A soft knock came at my door, and I called to let them enter.
"Sorry, I'm just putting in the last earring." I called, thinking my brother stood with his impatient look
"Hurry your ass Shit White." I was so startled by Levi's voice I almost tripped on my dress. I sent a glare at he shorty's back, but put on a fake smile, you know, the one that had the aura that could kill a short person from a distance that was also short.
"No problem Short Stuff. That suit is almost too big for you, have you shrunk since yesterday?" I asked, comparing my height to his. He glared daggers before pulling me by my hair outside. He escorted me onto my horse, and by escort, I mean throw insults as I tried to get on my horse in a dress.
"You need to lay off the cookies a bit." I could see a small smirk on his face as he said it too.
"Here, let me help." I suddenly heard Logan's voice as he lifted me by my waist onto Allegro. I couldn't help but blush as Levi snorted at his brotherly act. "There. Problem solved." He smiled happily before mounting his own horse. It was noon when we left, but the ride was quite long, and to pass the time, Erwin told funny stories about his squad which all of us laughed at; no matter how corny they were.
"You were always the one to take charge, even Richard had to have you back down!" Hanji laughed at her past. I smiled at my father's name, the echo of his voice telling Erwin off made me chuckle.
"How much longer until we enter wall Sina?" Levi asked, looking ahead at the grassy fields where few houses dotted the horizon. I wonder if the world looks all the same as this outside the walls. Eren once told me there are fire mountains, and salt water seas! We'd be rich if we had that!
"Not too much longer. We're entering though the Gina District about now." And just as Erwin said this, the gate was being open for us no more than fifty meters away. We galloped toward it, and the gate descended just as fast as it rose.
"Nervous?" Logan asked, a smile faintly on his face as the people of the rich Gina District stared in awe as our capes flew in the wind around our suits and dresses. I shrugged at my brother's question lazily.
"Not really, I mean, yeah, I'd rather be in the trees with 3DMG, but hey; can't always get what you want." I put on a smile as little children gawked up at me.
"Yahoo!!" Hanji exclaimed as she raced ahead to the gate, not even slowing down.
"H-hey Hanji!?" Armin salled after her, but she couldn't hear him. I chuckled and went after her as the men galloped gallantly through town. Pfft. Trying to make an appearance, eh? Who cares. The crowd was mostly noblemen and woman, but there was the occasional child.
"Momma, I wanna be just like her when I grow up!" A small girl tugged on their mother's satin dress while her mother looked raged by the thought.
"You will NOT." She ordered her daughter, and began to walk away until the shadow of my horse trumped her own. I tried to steady her, and the child smiled and giggled at my horse
"Easy, Allegro," I cooed the horse. Then I looked to the child, a smile on my face. "When you grow up, I want you to be yourself." Her own smile faded in awe as I trotted away in hopes of catching up to Hanji.
"Wonderful to see the Scouting Regiment here!" The butler clapped his hands together as he saw us demounting our horses. Logan helped me down, and then we followed Erwin up to the steps. He pointed to all of us, and introduced.
"Zoe Hanji," She waved ecstatically.
"Levi Rivalle," Levi rolled his eyes, but saluted.
"Armin Arlet," he shifted his feet and gave a shy smile. I couldn't help but throw an arm around his shoulder for good measure.
"And the Frost twins; Elise and Logan." Logan saluted respectfully while I smiled and nodded as we entered the ballroom. I suddenly felt under confident to see the other stunning ladies dressed up in much more extravagant dresses and adorned with diamonds and rubies blood red. Logan grabbed my hand once again, placing it on his forearm in a gentleman like way.
"Allow me to escort you." He joked. None of us were ever close to being rich, so it was fun pretending for one night. I gave him a playful smile and followed as we walked through the door. My eye instantly flew to the unexperienced piano player as he had trouble playing a few simple notes.
"Logan," I rugged on his arm as his attention somewhere else. "I think the piano is calling me." He nodded, letting me go.
Logan's P.O.V.
Rico waved to me from her place next to Pyxis. My sister could not take the pianist any longer, and left to teach him a thing or two. I chuckled at the sight of her taking his place at the instrument, but my thoughts went directly to the person who now gems my hand.
"Your sister is an amazing person." She commented at her playing abilities. The song was thick with emotion as each note vibrated through the air, causing all conversations to stop at a moment's notice. She closed her eyes, smiling.
"Lately I've been, I've been losin sleep. dreaming about the things that we could be. But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard; said no more counting dollars, we'll be counting stars." Her voice echoes like no one else's, and the song continued on, but I only caught some of the lyrics as Rico had lazily put her head on my shoulder. I couldn't help but feel blush creeping into my face.
"I see this life, like a swingin line, swing my heart across the line, and in my face is flashing signs. Stick it out and we shall find, the old; but I'm not that old. Young, but I'm not that bold, and I don't think the world is sold; we're just doing what we're told."
"How'd she take the theory of being a titan?" Rico asked for out of nowhere, catching me off guard.
"She had a few choice words. Some that are by meant to be known by a lady." She laughed and tried to cover it with her mouth, but failed. Whenever Rico is around, everything seems easier in every way. Could I be..
...Falling for her?
"The real reason I came over here, is to give you this;" I looked down at her as her hands came to the sides of my head and pulled me down. Our lips connected, and they felt soft; like they are meant to be with mine. At first I was confused as she stood on her tiptoes to even get to my height.
"I never really thanked you for saving my ass back in Trost." She replied, her face as red as my own.
"And baby I've been, I've been praying hard, said no more counting dollars, we'll be counting stars.." Elise sang for all to hear, and from the corner of my eye as Rico and I shared another kiss, I saw even the king taking a fancy to my sister.
This is taking so long, I can't believe I'll have to make two parts to this ball! But hey, we haven't seen any Levi action yet, and we all know there has to be some of that.
