-64- Dance with me till the end (Last chapter)

A/N: We now come to the last chapter of the story. Perhaps it is too sudden for some of you. I, on the other hand, find it fitting. Both of them have experienced a lot in this story and suffered a lot. It's a long story that I probably could have made even longer, but that would just be pointless to drag out and at some point it wouldn't be interesting anymore. By the way, I plan to start with a new story in the coming days. Maybe two. But the second one won't be a FanFiction, because I'd like to try to write a story, in which there are only fictitious names and characters. But it will be LGBTQ and because it is not a FanFiction, I can write whatever I want hahaha. Ok, enough from me. Let's go to the last chapter of "Dance With Me".

"Summary of the past months" (last chapter)

Zhan and Yibo are celebrating their anniversary today. They just can't agree on how long they've been together. If they count the time back then, Yibo had not accepted the separation and continued to see himself as, in a relationship, with Zhan, then they have been a couple since six years. If they count only the time after they found each other again, then it is two years. But what they don't have to discuss is how long they have been married. That's two months.

After Yibo proposed, everything happened very quickly. Without further ado, they arranged a date in Italy for a wedding and were lucky to get one quickly. Like Cheng and Hai Kuan, the wedding took place in the smallest family circle. Cheng and Hai Kuan, Yanli, her husband and their two children, as well as Yibo's father. Even though nobody was sure before if this is a good idea.

Actually, Zhan would also have liked to have had Chuyue as his best man. But since Luna Li's pregnancy was anything but good and the birth of their baby was imminent, Chuyue could not be at Zhan's side and so Hai Kuan took over the task of best man for Zhan and Cheng was best man for Yibo.

The wedding of the two took place on the beach. Zhan and Yibo wore plain white airy shirts and white suit trousers while they stood barefoot in front of the altar and said yes to each other.

All day long, Zhan had been very emotional. He was excited, overjoyed and cried with joy again and again. Yibo thought it was totally cute and kept pressing Zhan on his strong shoulder with the words: "How can you look so cute even when you cry? I'll fall in love with you all over again."

But Zhan's parents, and especially his mother, also shed tears. She kept saying how happy she was that all three children were finally married. "And I'm happy that my ZhanZhan has found you, Yibo. Because I just know that you were made for each other. God gave my husband and me Zhan and created you especially for him, so he won't be lonely."

And while the family flew home the day after the wedding, Zhan and Yibo stayed on for two more weeks. They rode around Italy on a rented motorcycle and stayed wherever they landed in the evening. They did not have more than one backpack with them. They only needed themselves and a few clothes to change anyway.

When they returned, Zhan started his new job. He now works for the press department of the police. He writes articles on the police's homepage about their operations, issues notices and passes on tips in search advertisements. Because Zhan became more and more known and often worked together with the police, he was recommended by several departments and got this job.

Yibo and Lian do not work together anymore. Lian had decided to study again and now wants to become a psychologist. Zhan's elder sister Yanli, who also went back to work, now works together with Yibo. Yibo works a lot at schools and in youth clubs, while Yanli is still on the streets and helps the young people there. Meanwhile three professionals, the family psychologist and six volunteers work for them. Two of the volunteers are Zhan's parents.

The life expectancy of Yibo's father is now estimated at a maximum of 6 months. Since the tumor behind his eyes cannot be operated on and the chemotherapy is not working, he does not have much time left. And even though Zhan and Yibo invited him to their wedding and he even congratulated them, the relationship between Yibo and his father remains tense and cold. Yibo doesn't want his father to die without having talked to him again. But so far he couldn't bring himself to visit him at the nursing home and talk to him.

Cheng has finally completed his training and can now call himself a pediatrician. He and Kai Kuan immediately after Cheng finished his training and he is now a specialist for pediatrics, moved to the USA, where they will soon be looking for a surrogate mother to carry their child. Their desire to have children is so great that they want to use all their saved money to be happy to have a baby soon.

Yanli and her husband have completed their child planning with their two children, a son and a daughter. And while her husband stays at home and takes care of the children, she works again. She thinks it is great to work with her brother-in-law and meanwhile loves Yibo as much as Zhan and Cheng.

Chuyue and Luna Li have given birth to a little daughter. The little girl was born seven weeks too early and it was unclear at first whether she would make it at all. But the little one has showed everybody and is developing magnificently.

Yu Bin, who wanted to live alone, now lives together with his big sister. She separated from her longtime boyfriend and because she did not know where to go, she moved in with Yu Bin. But whether she can live there for a long time is unclear, because Yu Bin is newly in love and hopes that his girlfriend will move in with him soon.

Bai Shu moved to South Korea for a new job and shares an apartment with Yibo's best friends Wooseok and Seungyoun.

Yibo's grandfather never returned to China. After Yibo finished university at that time, he said he had made a new life for himself there and would stay there. He has a lot of contact to Hai Kuan and Cheng and will also move in with them soon so that he doesn't have to live alone anymore.

One year later / Dance with me, till the end! (I'll just do this like this)

"...and if they didn't die, they're still alive today. The end. Now get some sleep. Not that Daddy will be angry when he gets home and you're still awake." Said Yibo to the little boy.

"Dad, please just one more time." The boy moaned and begged.

"Wang A-yuan, I thought you'd be asleep when I got home." Zhan said, he stood in the doorway and overheard them.

"Daddy, Daddy, you're home at last. Please make Dad read me another story. Just one more. I promise I'll be a good boy and go to sleep." A-yuan cried from his bed.

"You have to go to the kindergarten again tomorrow, and Dad is tired, too. and I know your dad, he must have read you at least three stories." Zhan replied with a smile.

Yibo got up from bed, went to Zhan and greeted him with a kiss. "You know me too well." He said with a grin.

With a defiant look, A-Yuan looked at Zhan and Yibo and then said, "Well, I'm sleeping, I'm sleeping. But only because tomorrow I can see my friends at the kindergarten and play with them again."

Yibo and Zhan wished their son good night. They paved his face with kisses one last time, tickled him and then covered him up properly before leaving the room to let their five-year-old son sleep.

Although A-Yuan has only been living with Zhan and Yibo for five months, the two of them feel as if it has never been any different. They still can't believe how they came to be fathers.

They were downtown together on a weekend and just wanted to take a nice stroll through the city as a couple, when they noticed a little boy standing at the door of a candy store, drooling and looking at the candies on display.

Soon it was clear to both of them that this boy is no ordinary boy. Especially because only Zhan and Yibo could see him. They took the little guy with them to a bench, talked to him and fooled around with him. Like most of the lost souls, he too could not remember anything. Which still didn't stop him from being a happy little guy.

Yibo had tried to look into his mind to see if there was anything that could help them. But there was nothing. So they took the little one home first, where Zhan immediately went through the databases to see if he could find anything about the boy. But even there, nothing!

Days and finally weeks went by without them finding anything about the boy. Finally, Yu Bin brought light into the darkness, because a few weeks ago he found an article about a boy who was left unconscious in front of a church. The search for the boy's parents was unsuccessful and the boy himself was in a coma. Since this happened far away from Beijing, Zhan could not find out anything, of course.

The boy was then transferred to the children's hospital in Shanghai and then to Beijing. And although he was still in a coma and in need of care, they quickly sent him to an orphanage where they already had little time for the awake children.

Zhan and Yibo immediately took the boy's lost soul to this orphanage and the soul was reunited with the body.

It was not long before the boy woke up. And, he remembered Zhan and Yibo and did not want to let them go. He cried and clung to them and begged them to take him away. It almost broke Zhan and Yibo's heart. Especially when they learned that his parents just dumped him at his much too young aunt's house and that his aunt just drinks and prostitutes herself all day long.

Moreover, she had a boyfriend who oftentimes hit his aunt and so he too. The authorities tried to find A-Yuan's parents, but without success. And they couldn't return him to his aunt. And because A-Yuan only wanted to go to Zhan and Yibo and cried every day, the youth welfare office approached them and asked them if they could take him in. Because of his work Yibo is very well known at the youth welfare office and so it all happened very quickly after Zhan and Yibo agreed to take care of the little five year old A-Yuan.

Within only three weeks there was a court hearing and Zhan and Yibo were allowed to adopt the little boy. That was five months ago. And even though the two of them had never even thought about raising a child before, they can't imagine a life without the little guy even now.

This weekend, however, Zhan and Yibo have a free weekend because it is their anniversary once again. A-Yuan will be with grandma and grandpa, while Zhan and Yibo meet their friends at the club.

It's Friday night and they took A-Yuan to Zhan's parents. They had just arrived at the club with their friends and there was still very little going on at the club. Nevertheless Yibo immediately grabbed Zhan and dragged him onto the dance floor with him. "Come on honey, dance with me." Said Yibo as he dragged Zhan behind him.

They had already been dancing for an hour when Yibo stopped and took something out of his pocket. It was a necklace with a small pendant on it. It was a little lion head with two diamonds as eyes and engraved on the back was "Dance with me."

Yibo put the necklace on Zhan, hugged him from behind and whispered, "We're back where we started. Our first dance, our first kiss and it's even the same song as before. At that time I stopped you from going away and said to you, Dance With Me. Just like I said it today and every other time we came here. Only today I want to say, Dance with me, till the end. I hope we both have a long and happy life ahead of us. And I hope you will dance with me many more times. Because this is where it all began and this is where it all should end. I love you endlessly my Wang Xiao Zhan."

Zhan turned to Yibo and put his arms around him and said, "And I love you endlessly my Wang Yibo. And I look forward to coming back here with you many more times to hear that one sentence from you that I will never forget. It was the beginning for both of us and sent us on a very special journey. I am thankful for every day with you and I hope that many days, weeks, months and years will follow. And now, Dance With Me, till the end!"

The end!

A/N: This journey of Zhan and Yibo continues, but the story does not. Even though I brought it to a quick end now, I hope you like the ending anyway. Because unfortunately, it can't go on endlessly like the love of the two in this story.
