Emerald
Rin didn't expect some weird K-pop looking guy to pop up during a mission and try to pin him against a statue, but it definitely happened.
See, there was an issue with a gem creature running around Mephisto's amusement park and messing with people. So the park had to be closed down and the Gem Warriors in training had to find and get rid of the creature.
Rin didn't think it was such a loss having to close down the park filled with the creep's face everywhere you looked, but he wasn't gonna say that to the clown's face. The dude may be nutty, but he was no wimp. He had power to back him up.
So here Rin was, trying to call Yukio and inform him that he and Shiemi had found the Gem creature when he was pushed into the pedestal of the giant Mephisto statue. He dropped his phone in surprise as his wrists were pinned and a threatening presence made itself known right in front of him. Sudden flashbacks of the last time he was pinned helpless like this flashed in his mind and he struggled.
The person didn't even move an inch.
"What do you want?!" Rin demanded.
"To see you." Came the simple answer. It confused Rin so much that he stopped struggling and stared at his assailant.
He was taller than Rin(which wasn't hard to achieve seeing as Rin was only 5'6), with green hair that was styled with a spike protruding from the crown of his head. His outfit was a mess patter-wise and almost painful to look at–a pink and purple striped dress shirt buttoned all the way to the top under a pastel green vest with an atrocious lime green tie, a torn maroon overcoat with yellowed skull buttons, dark green arm warmers and leggings, black polka-dotted shorts, and finally, black boots with more skull buttons.
Rin stared.
"What the fuck?" He asked without thinking. The guy tilted his head. He was obviously a gem if the hair color and style was any indication, not go me too the slightest green tint to his skin.
"You are most interesting to Satan and Mephisto. I want to know why." The man answered. He kept Rin's hands pinned to the pedestal as he crouched, looking straight at Rin's Sapphire.
"But how are you interesting if you are just your weak mother?" The man questioned curiously.
"Can I at least know who you are before you start judging me, please?!" Rin snapped. He hated people staring at him like this. It made him feel like he was always doing something wrong, or maybe his existence was just wrong.
"Oh, right. I am Amaimon. I'm an Emerald from Homeworld." He introduced himself.
He examined Rin Sapphire closely, scrutinizing it. "What's so amazing about this Sapphire?" He murmured.
Rin brought up a leg to knee the Emerald in the chin. Then he ran for it. Amaimon the Emerald from Homeworld wasn't letting him go that easily though. He lunged and grabbed Rin. The teen yelled and began struggling again. Suddenly, Amaimon hissed and sat back from the Sapphire.
Rin opened his eyes to see who his savior was, only to notice the flickering blue flames he was producing. Damnit.
On the plus side, they seemed to hurt Amaimon if the new burns on his hands were any indication. "How? How is this possi–" the Emerald's gaze snapped down to Rin's glowing Gem. It was glowing, but only from the inside, curiously enough.
"How can this happen?" Amaimon wondered. He stared at the gem inside Rin's Sapphire, hidden by the deep blue of the gem.
"Blue Diamond." The man whispered, like it was a secret, even though his voice was still monotone and his face had the exact same expression it'd had the whole time.
"Is that what you wanted? To see my Diamond?" Rin snarled. He wished his Sapphire was just a sapphire, but that wasn't the case. When his father had come to bring him to Homrworld and had clawed at Rin's gem, Rin's sapphire had shattered for one horrifying moment, before a light blue diamond formed and a dark blue sapphire encased the gem, hiding it.
Rin had two gems in one. They gave him overwhelming power that he never asked for and attention from people who didn't wish him well.
Only Mephisto and Yukio knew about Rin's Diamond-Sapphire. None of the teachers knew. None of his classmates knew. Shiro was gone, reduced to the half a pearl Rin had stored in his gem. The thing was like a storage space. It could hold a lot of stuff. Most Gems had that luxury. It's why someone could just pull a snack seemingly out of nowhere in the middle of class and no one would bat an eye. Girls loved to use it for makeup, perfume, and lotion. Guys used it for lighters, deodorant, and pocket knives.
But Rin used it for important things. Like the only thing he had left of his adoptive father. And a picture of him, Yukio, and Shiro from the monastery.
"Interesting. You're half diamond, one quarter sapphire, and one quarter human. Is that why you have to eat human food?" Amaimon questioned curiously.
"Yes. Why does it matter?" Rin answered irritatedly.
"It doesn't. What does matter is how strong you are. Pull your weapon." Amaimon told him, stepping back and showing his own uniform. It was a simple green bodysuit with darker green boots and gloves, along with a belt the same shade. Rin didn't see his gem anywhere on his front, so he must have it on his back or it was hidden somewhere.
A long, lizard-like green tail waved behind the Gem. Rin gritted his teeth. This guy was full of surprises.
"Why do you want to fight me? I haven't done anything!" Rin growled, changing to his uniform anyway.
Amaimon hummed appreciatively ad Rin changed to his uniform. "You're very pretty. Much like your mother. You call yourself a male, yes?" Well, at least he had manners.
"Yes." Rin answered, lunging to run past the Emerald. He made it a considerable distance before his knee was kicked out from under him. He grunted and spun around on one knee, delivering a high kick to Amaimon's chin before scrambling away.
He hoped climbing up the roller coaster would deter the crazy gem, but no such luck. The green gem just pursued him even more eagerly.
"Seriously, what's your problem?!" Rin yelled at the man. They were both standing on the end roller coaster cars.
"You're boring except for your Double Gem. That must mean your power is exceptional. Fight me and show me you're worth that Gem inside you." Amaimon told him. He jumped across the cars. Rin caught him and haphazardly threw him the other direction. It backfired when Amaimon's tail wrapped around him and held onto him, pulling Rik over the side of the coaster too. While they fell, Amaimon repeatedly punched Rin in the face. It didn't feel very pleasant. Rin's own tail came out to play and his flames blazed to life around them.
"Fuck....You!" Rin gritted out, burning the Gem's tail and pushing him away with his own tail. Rin freefell until he hit a steel beam of the rollercoaster. Pain exploded across his side and Rin was sure if he was a normal human, he'd be dead. He fell, hit another two or three steel beams, and finally hit the ground with a pained groan and a series of loud cracks.
"You didn't stick that landing very well. Poor Sapphire." Just Rin's luck, Amaimon was fine, of course.
"Back off, Homeworld Scum!" Kirigakure was there to save the day. She pulled a sword from her gem and fought Amaimon back from the teen. Amaimon ran away in the end and the teacher turned to the boy.
"Holy Stars, Okumura! What happened to you?!" Suguro had come towards the commotion to see what was going on.
Suguro fell to his knees and tilted the Sapphire's face up very gently. Rin didn't know the guy had such a softness to him. Rin sighed. He was definitely cracked. He could feel them spread further across his face, fracturing across his nose and up beside one eye.
"Woah, step back! Don't touch him! Nobody touch him!" Kirigakure pulled Suguro and Shima back from the Sapphire. Rin gave them a strained smile. They looked so worried, how sweet.
"I'm okay guys." The smile only cracked his face more, but he wasn't falling apart yet.
"What happened?" Mephisto poofed in.
"Some creep from Homeworld got in and attacked a student." The woman reported. Mephisto's eyes fell on Rin, who was still sitting on the ground while Shima and Suguro watched him carefully.
"Oh dear." The older gem murmured with a frown. In a second, he swept up the Sapphire and after a quick
"He'll be fine, please don't worry about young Rin any longer." They were gone. Rin shivered. The cracks were only on the surface, thankfully. But they still hurt.
"Your surface is decently damaged. Fuse with me, the power I give you will heal it. I do not know if it will spread internally if we heal you regularly." The man said quickly. They were in his office, which was filled with atrocious shades of pink and purple with one end of the room dominated by a nice cherrywood desk.
"And why would I trust you?" Rin crossed his arms, ignoring his fingers cracking more. His left pinky and pointer finger were close to falling off. "You sent that bastard after me!"
"I did no such thing! I told him he could scout you, not crack you, Dear." Mephisto argued. He held out his hand. Rin rolled his eyes, but took it. He was pulled into a smooth ballroom dance.
You"Don't be so tense. Let your presence merge into mine." The elder gem coached. Rin let out a huff of irritated breath and laid his head on Mephisto's shoulder. He was already tired and he didn't have a good reason to keep his guard up. He knew Mephisto wasn't actually an emerald, bit the famed Purple Diamond who'd split off from Satan and Lucifer to fight with the Gem Warriors long ago when the war first began. Because his gem.was easy to hide and some gems had the ability to pull up disguises for themselves or change their own features, Mephisto pretended to be an Emerald named Johann Faust.
Music flowed from somewhere and it was nice to fusion dance to music he didn't just hear in his head for once. Mephisto spun him and caught his hands after and a minute later, Rin felt their presences melding into one.

Lolite opened his eyes and sighed. He could feel Amaimon arrive in his office a second later and turned to the Emerald, who took in the appearance of the new gem.
He wore a deep purple 3 piece suit with a long tailcoat and dark purple shoes. His hair was a lighter purple and hung straight, framing his regal and angular face.
All four lilac eyes glared down at the lesser Gem and Amaimon cowered.
Before Amaimon could run, Lolite grabbed him and made quick work of showing who had more power there. "Listen to orders and maybe you'll get out unscathed next time, you idiotic menace!" The Gem growled.
He proceeded to drop the Emerald into a portal to who knows where and be done with it.
Rin was resting inside the fusion bond, so Mephisto let him sleep and instead got to work signing papers for a while.
