Interesting story
"We can easily forgive a child for being afraid of the dark. The real tragedy is when men are afraid of the light" - Plato.
Interesting story with this quote. Nothing Grande or significant by majority standard but it really got me thinking for a moment or two. Have any of you ever has those moments where certain perspective of clarity punches you? Like mother nature if you're a girl._.
Well lately I started reading proverbs, more specifically wisdom and how all the characteristics of wisdom are God's characteristics because God is wisdom. Well one thing I learned since coming to God and still gaining wisdom is that things are revealed. It's hard to explain but you start realizing, seeing EVERYTHING and once you do, you can't go back. But sadly their are lots who witness God, seen his truth and gain wisdom only he gives and still...They walk away from God. Reject wisdom thus rejecting God and thus rejecting light.
Huh?!
This is where the quote above comes in. ;)
God is the light. He's truth and HOLY. As children and people who don't know God we are forgiven because of our ignorance (I learned this today also!!!) But when we know God and are spiritually mature yet still reject God....That is hard to forgive. It's a tragedy because they fear the light. They refuse God because they think the dark is better. So this quote tied into what I was learning. If you guys want to know what I'm talking about then start on chapter 8 of proverbs and replace wisdom with God and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I didn't get the quote from Plato guys. I got it from criminal minds who got it from Plato.
God bless you all!
