As Vanessa stepped out of her car in front of the house Mikhail was staying at, she shivered at the cold winter air and pulled her jacket closer around her body. Not wanting to stay outside longer than she wanted, she quickly went up to the house and unlocked the door with the key he gave her.

"Vanessa, you're early." Mikhail called from the kitchen.

"It's too cold to stay in the car or outside anyway." She said as she hung up her jacket and took off her shoes. "What do you have planned today?"

"I was planning to bring you to the park but since you think it is too cold..." Mikhail said as he came out.

"Well, I guess I can bear with it with you around." Vanessa said and wrapped her arms around him. "By the way, I'm glad to see you again. It's been a stressful week for me."

"Me too." Mikhail sighed and pulled her closer. "So, you really want to go to the park?"

"Why not?" Vanessa smiled.

Mikhail chuckled and pulled on his scarf and jacket. "Then what are we waiting for?"

They soon arrived and much to their relief, no one was having a snowball fight at that time. They were walking around for half an hour when an unpleasant voice reached Vanessa's ears.

"Kya! Mikhail!" A too high-pitched girly cry made them halt in their tracks as a blond lady ran over to them and hugged Mikhail's arm, much to Vanessa's dismay. "I can't believe you are here too...Oh, hi Vanessa." She gave Vanessa a dismissive wave and turned back to Mikhail and started fawning over him again. "I was hoping that you would come out with me today but you weren't around."

"Sorry Michel, I wasn't aware that you were looking for me..."

"Oh, that's fine but now that we are here, why don't we go ice skating." Michel cut in.

"But I'm..."

"It will be fun." She insisted and tried to pull Mikhail away from a very annoyed Vanessa.

'This b*tch is too thick skinned.' Vanessa fumed as Mikhail gave in to Michel's invitation and left her behind. 'And Mikhail's too kind to say no to her. What happened to keeping all the pretty girls away?'

Vanessa squeezed her eyes shut to dull the stabbing pain in her heart as she watch Michel flirt with her own boyfriend as she led him to the ice skating ring. 'He didn't even looked at me or even asked if I wanted to join. Is it that he likes her too?'

Vanessa quickly shook her head and sighed. "I might as well find something to do. It's too cold to just stand around here." She walked in the opposite direction Mikhail and Michel went, just letting her feet bring her wherever it wanted to go.

'How ironic.' Vanessa thought with a wry smile. 'I just have to come to the tree we like to hang out a lot at today.'

She sat down at the base of the tree and leaned against the trunk. "Just what is Mikhail thinking, hanging out with some other girl when he already have a girlfriend?"

"Vanessa!" Mikhail called as he ran over to her. "I'm sorry about Michel. I..."

"I though you accepted Michel's invitation to go ice skating with her." Vanessa cut in sharply.

"I told her that I don't like her that way. The only woman I love is you." Mikhail spoke quickly. "Sorry, I just needed to get her alone to tell her that since I didn't want her to lash out at you if you stuck around."

Vanessa blinked in surprise and stood up. "So, you let her flirt and fawn with you back there...it was all just to tell her that you don't like her!? Are you trying to make me jealous!?" Vanessa's hands flew to her mouth when she realized what she said.

This time it is Mikhail's turn to blink and he burst out laughing. "If I had known that you were easily jealous, I would have done that a long time ago."

Vanessa felt her face turn red as Mikhail's laughter died down and he sat down beside her. "You don't have to be jealous of Michel or any girl for the matter. Like I said, the only woman I can ever love is you."

Vanessa pouted but shivered as the wind blew past her. Mikhail saw this and shifted closer to her and wrapped his scarf around her.

"Feeling warmer?"

"Yeah." Vanessa nodded and kissed him. "Sorry about being jealous."

"Nah, it's my fault that I let her do all that. But at least it shows that you care." Mikhail said cheekily.

Vanessa blushed harder and was about to open her mouth to retaliate but Mikhail silenced her with another kiss.

"Just enjoy the moment." He whispered to her. "We won't be able to have another time like this for weeks."

Vanessa inwardly smiled and decided to let the matter slide, melting into the kiss once more.
