Best. Anniversary. Ever.
I MET MY GIRLFRIEND A YEAR AGO TODAY WOW??? IT FEELS LIKE I HAVE KNOWN HER MY WHOLE LIFE BUT IT HAS ONLY BEEN A YEAR? HOW DID I EVEN SURVIVE WITHOUT HER? But yeah, this is a one shot to celebrate my girlfriend and I's anniversary of meeting ^-^
Ahhhh I just love her so muuuuuuch
^it turned to crap so don't be happy for us anymore^
(Oh and sorry for not posting for ages.. I never know what to write about anymore)
It was merely 9am when a loud knock on my door woke me up. I internally groaned, forcing myself to stand up and go downstairs, only wearing shorts. I opened up the door, thinking it was just the postman but, no, it wasn't.
Once laying my eyes on the person behind the door, I let out a manly squeak and slammed the door shut. I was suddenly very embarrassed to only be wearing shorts, especially when the man was wearing a posh button-up shirt and holding a large bouquet of flowers.
"Dan, open the door!" A voice chuckled and I weakly pulled the door back open, my face a bright red.
"I'm sorry.." I felt like my face was becoming more red as the seconds passed. "Make yourself comfy whilst I.. get dressed. I'll be quick!"
Phil laughed loudly at me, watching as I raced upstairs. I quickly scrambled through my wardrobe, pulling out the best shirt I could find and some skinny jeans. I changed into them as quickly as I could and fixed my hair with my hand.
I went back downstairs, seeing my boyfriend awkwardly sitting on the sofa. "Ah, you're dressed."
I refused to meet his gaze, scratching the back of my neck. "Yes, sorry. I overslept and completely forgot what day it was today."
Phil pulled a face of offence (I couldn't quite tell if it was fake or not). "How could you forget our anniversary?!"
"I-I didn't mean to!"
"It's alright, Dan. Well, here you go." Phil thrust out the bouquet of flowers and I took them with a smile.
"Thank you so much. I'll go find a vase."
-
"I kind of expected it to start off a bit more romantic than that but oh well." Phil giggled, reaching out and taking my hand.
"Yeah, I'm so sorry-" I started, ready to ramble on another thousand apologies.
"Stop apologising. This day will be perfect!"
"If you say so." Phil pulled open the passenger side of the car, holding it open for me. I smiled softly, sitting down.
-
"Where exactly are we going?" I asked, grinning with anticipation.
"We're going to have a picnic! How did you not notice the picnic basket on the back seat?" Phil laughed, glancing away from the road for a moment to look at me.
"I don't even know.. it's pretty big."
-
"Sit down, my prince." Phil said once he had laid out the blanket on the grass. He had taken me to a lake and it was one of the most beautiful scenes that I had ever seen.
I blushed, just about managing to laugh and say, "Prince?"
"Yes. Daniel, you are my special prince and you are going to get lots of attention."
"Aw," I smiled. "That's sweet."
"I try my best." I sat down on the blanket, the picnic basket in front of me. Phil sat opposite me. "Now, what would my prince like to eat?"
"Hmm.. what is there?"
"Everything you could ever imagine."
"How about... lobster then." I giggled, making Phil laugh loudly.
"Sadly, that is the only thing not on the menu."
"What about snails?"
"Okay so maybe we don't have everything... but we have lots."
Phil opened up the basket, revealing a mixture of different foods. There were all sorts of biscuits, cakes, sandwiches and other savoury items such as sausage rolls and scotch eggs.
"Oh wow, you really didn't need to buy all this stuff-" I started but Phil cut me off with a kind smile.
"I did have to. My prince deserves only the best on our anniversary."
I blushed, reaching out to steal a packet of crisps. "Nice choice." Phil said and I grinned.
-
As the hours passed, it got a lot hotter. By about 1 o'clock, it was boiling hot and both Phil and I were literally sweating. "It's so hot.." I groaned, thankful that I didn't wear a jacket or long-sleeved shirt.
"I have an idea," Phil said, his face lighting up. I could even imagine the light bulb appearing above his head. "Let's go in the lake!"
"I'll dip my feet in and that's it." I said, beginning to roll up my jeans as much as I could.
"Okay.."
I hesitantly dipped one foot into the water and immediately felt the refreshing coolness. Phil had a weird look on his face but I ignored it, thinking I was just imagining it.
But then... SPLASH.
I screamed, my whole body covered it water. The cold was really nice but my clothes were completely soaked. "Phil!" I yelled. "I swear I'm going to kill you!"
Phil was in a fit of laughter, tears even streaming down his cheeks. I ran at him, tackling him into the shallow water. We were both laughing and it was just such a wonderful moment.
I was on top of him before I knew it. His black hair was dripping wet and he looked extremely attractive in the natural light. I couldn't help but lean in and connect our lips.
-
"Don't get my car wet!" Phil said, biting his lip.
"It's your fault. You pushed me over in the first place." I giggled, pulling open the door and sitting on the dry seat, probably drenching it straight away.
"I guess it'll dry." Phil muttered, sitting at the wheel.
-
"I had so much fun today." I said, making Phil smile.
"Me too."
"It was officially the best anniversary ever."
"Only the best for my special prince."
Suddenly, everything went silent. The sun shone in the perfect direction, lighting Phil up in a way that made him appear almost angelic. Everything seemed to go in slow motion as I leant forward, pressing my lips against Phil's.
Best. Anniversary. Ever.
I hope this is good?
AHHHHHH I AM JUST SO HAPPY AND YAY
