Hi everyone..

Thankyou for all the sweet comments on last chapter. I actually thought that flashback might get boring but thank you for all the love for the last chapter...

Now back to story...

Ani was crying outside the room just then someone comes and keeps a hand on his shoulder. He looks up to see Unnati standing their. Unnati was going to get herself some water when she sees Ani crying outside the room and she goes to him..

Unnati: Come with me...

She takes him to her room. She makes him seated on the bed and gives him some water. After a while he calms down... She sits besides him

Unnati: Want to share?? (Ani keeps looking down trying his level best to hold back his tears) Look ani (keeps her hand on his hand) Noone knows whatever happened between you both that day. I know that you loved her. Mrunu just told us that you just left her and went away. And noone knows your part of it.. Maybe this is the last chance that things can cool down between you both... (she gives him a assuring smile)

Ani: (he finally spoke up) I really loved Mrunu a lot since our childhood but I didn't have the courage to propose her. On 31st night I decided to confess it to her. I didn't said anyone about it. Later in afternoon I messaged her to meet me at sunset point. She came their and we were just sitting enjoying the view. It was quite dark when we decided to head back to Villa and join everyone. And I thought it was the perfect time to confess in to her....

Flashback:

Mrunirudh were returning back to the villa. Mrunu was always a long walk kind of person so Ani decided to walk back instead of calling for a cab. Villa was about 20 mins away..

Mrunu: Ani terko pata hai chidiya kyu udti hai...

Ani: (making faces) Ye kya sawal hai..

Mrunu: (spanks his arm) Yaar aaise nahi krte Ani.. Baata na..

Ani: Um. Cuz unke pas pankh hai..

Mrunu: Nahi.. Cuz wo tair (swim) nahi sakti... (and starts laughing)

Ani: (😒) Like seriously...

Mrunu: (controlling her laugh) Accha chal ek aur... Machli udd kyu nahi sakti??

Ani: (confidently) Kyuki uske pas pankh nahi hai. Aur wo udd nahi sakti...

Mrunu: Nahi.. Wo isliye nahi udd sakti kyuki agar wo udne lagi toh toh insaan fishing kaise karega.. (she busts to laughyer while ani glares her)

Ani: (murmurs) Kya jarurat thi iske pyaar mai padhne ki.. Koi normal ladki nahi mili..

Mrunu: Kya badbada raha hai Ani..

Ani: Kuch nahi.. Aab tu mere baat ka jawab de. (looking at her) Aaisi kya chij hai jo dikhti nahi par hoti hai. Bataya nahi jayata pr mehsos kiya jata hai..

Mrunu: (casually) Are itna simple... Hawa..

She starts walking ahead when ani hold her hand and pulls her towards him. She lands up on his check.. Ani takes a step closer to her and moves closer to her face. Mrunu closes her eyes feeling their proximity... He moves towards her ears and says "PYAAR". He takes her hand in his hand and sits on his knees.

Ani: I know Mrunu its not something romantic but it doesn't matter when I have you... (It starts raining) Dekha bhagwanji bhi chahte hai ki aaj mai keh hi du.. (he chuckles) So Mrunu.. My best friend. My buddy.. My late night snack partner. My movie night partner. My happiness.. My everything.. The LOVE OF MY LIFE.. I don't think I can ever put in words what you mean to me. I am so used to having you around that I can't imagine what I would do without you... Their is no bound for my love for you. Not only today but I have loved you since our childhood and I'll keep loving you... Do you love me Mrunu??

Both were drenching in rain. Ani was super happy but Mrunu couldn't control her tears. She is taken aback by sudden confession. She suddenly pulls back her hand. Ani shockingly sees her..

Mrunu: (in tears) (murmurs) I don't love you Ani.

Ani shockingly sees Mrunu. Tears start making way out of his eyes. Mrunu sees him crying and she quickly sits on ground and shiveringly holds Ani's both hand in her hands..

Mrunu: (in tears) Ani.. You were always my bestest best friend. Maine kabhi tere bare mai waise socha hi na. Agar mujhe idea bhi hota aaisa kuch toh mai pehle hi clear kr deti. (crying) I don't want to hurt your feeling Ani... (She hugs Ani but he didn't hug her back) Ani please kuch bol na.. (stammering) I can... Can't  lo..lose my best friend...

Ani: (he breaks the hug and moves back) You don't love me.. (in tears) You don't love me..

Ani gets up but stumbles.. Mrunu was about to hold him but he stops her and gets up... His steps start stumbling and he starts moving backwards...

Mrunu: (fearfully) Ani ruk jaa... Kaha jaa raha hai.. (she wipes her tears and tries to hold him but he moves back) Meri.. Meri baat toh sun..

Ani keeps on murmuring"You don't love me" He turns back and walks off from their. Mrunu couldn't hold back her tears and she sits on ground breaking down in tears...

Mrunu: (shouts) I am sorry Ani. Mai tujhe hurt karna nahi chahti thi..

She was alone on an abandoned road drenching in rain...

Flashback ends.

Ani: (crying) Uske bad kya hua mujhe nahi pata Unnati.. Mai waha se wapas Mumbai chala gaya. And then I left to Ooty at my Aunts place. Maine gharpr kisiko bhi batane se mana kr diya tha.. She was my first and last love. (sobbing) When she rejected me mere mai himmat hi nahi thi to face her..

Unnati hugs Ani and tries to calm him down...

Ani: (sobbing) I know maine bohot badi galti ki pr aab mai usse sudharna chahta hu. Pr Mrunu meri baat sunne ko hi tayyar nahi thi...

Unnati: (with teary eyes) You still love her??

Ani: I do.. And I always will.. Pr iss time I don't want her love in return. I want my best friend back. I can't lose her this time.

Unnati: Pyaar jindagi ka sabse khubsurat ehsas hai pr dosti se jyada gehra nahi.. (smiles seeing him) Don't worry.. I am their with you. We'll find a way out. I think tum iss halat mai wapas nahi jaa sakte. You sleep here mai Mrunu ke pas jati hu.. If you need anything then I am just a call away..

Unnati was about to leave but Ani hugs her..

Ani: Thankyou so much Unnati..

Unnati: Don't worry. Teri khabar toh mai kal subah lugi. Ek baar sab thik ho jane de fir mai aur Mrunu dono milkr tujhe tang karege... Sare badle lege dekhna.. (both chuckles) Aab so jaa.. (smiles seeing him)

Unnati goes towards Mrunu's room and makes her sleep...

Aasan's side:

Aashna goes in her room when she sees Sanket following her...

Aashna: What do you want??

Sanket: (casually) Umm... Ig nothing...

Aashna: Ughhhhh!! Then why are you following me!?

Sanket jumps on her bed ignoring her question..

Sanket: Bed is quite comfortable. (smirkingly) I guess I'll have great sleep tonight..

Aashna: Whatever!! (She rolls her eyes and goes to washroom for a shower)

Sanket(shouts from outside): Waise honey if you need anything you can call me inside.. I am free...

Aashna: Shut ur mouth and sit warna I'll kick you out of the room.

Sanket giggles seeing her being irritated. He continues surfing his phone until he hears Aashna calling him..

Aashna: (shouts from washroom) Ummm.. Are you their Sanku??

Sanket: (teasing her) Help chahiye honey.. Aandar aau!? (giggles)

Aashna: Chanta (slap) marugi. Actually mai towel bhul gyi.. Wo pas kr doge..

Sanket: (clearing his throat) Kuch kaha honey?? Awaj nahi ayi..

Aashna: Ughh... What do you want??

Sanket: You very well know what I want?? (teasing her)

Aashna: Fine.. Mat do towel. Mai yahi baithi rahugi raat bhar..

Sanket: Acha sorry de raha hu...

Sanket passes her towel. After a while she comes out and completely ignores Sanket. She goes towards her dressing table when she sees Sanket standing behind her.. They both see each other through the mirror.

Aashna: Now what... Say??

Sanket: I wanted to talk with you.

Aashna: (sarcastically) Wow toh itni der se kya kr rahe the..

Sanket: Honey yaar... I am serious. Where do we stand? Where do our relationship stand? I don't want to be in that kind of relationship with you where we both don't know where we stand be are still close to each other... Can't we just talk and sort out things?

He moves closer to her pulling her closer by her waist. She turns around and faces him...

Aashna: Is this your talking?? (says pointing towards his hand which was across her waist)

Sanket: My actions speak louder than my words honey!! (he smirkingly winks at her while she tries to control her blush but fails) Ohho... Blushing and all ha..

Aashna: (she removes his hand from her waist and sits on sofa) Can we talk like CIVILISED PEOPLE??

Sanket: Ohk wait.. Just a doubt. Don't civilised people do romance??

Aashna: (confused) I don't enter peoples private moment and see ki are they doing romance or not... Karte hoge yaar mujhe kya..

Sanket: 😒Haa toh what was the need to spoil my moment. (mimics her) Lets talk like civilised people... I was comfortable na..

Aashna: Shup up.. And sit!!

Sanket: (glaring her) Why do you always have to be dominating!?

Aashna: (making faces) Why do you always have to flirty??

Sanket: (narrows his eyes) Why do you always have to be so irritated??

Aashna: (rolling her eyes) This is how I am.. Deal with it..

Sanket: (sarcastically) So this was your civilised talk!?

Aashna: Ohkay fine.. Look Sanket I don't know where we stand as of now nor do I want us to come to any conclusion... Can you give me some time??

Sanket: (gives her a forehead kiss) You can take as much time as you want honey. This time I'll be their by your side no matter what your decision will be. I can't afford to lose my best friend this time..

Aashna: (hugs Sanket) Thankyou sanku..

Sanket: (hugs her back) No worries honey. Now sleep. I'll go in my room..

Aashna: Wait.. So you were going to go??

Sanket: (smiles) I was just messing up with you honey... But (smirks) if you want I can stay...

Aashna pushes him out of her room smilingly and looks the door. He runs his hand in his hair smilingly... She comes back and jumps on her bed smilingly..

Aashna: (smiling) I can't believe how much things have changed.

Flashback:

Aashna and Sanket never confessed but were still in that state of mind where they were mentally dating each other. Oviously no one knew about them.

On 31st night eve she was in living area with Addy, Rishu, Arsh and Manav. Ani and Mrunu had went somewhere. Ashi was busy at Terrace. Tanzeel and Unnati toh disappeared somewhere. I was looking for Sanket when Addy called me aside..

Addy: Hey honey... Your are looking gorgeous...

Aashna: Thanks Addy... Say na?

Addy: Actually the thing is since the start of college I had a bit crush on you. I think maybe we could give it a try? (looking down) Like maybe a dinner or something?

Aashna: (giggling) Ohk so are you asking me out?

Addy: (nervously)Not exactly but ya kind off.. I don't know what I am saying.. I am sorry.. I should go..

He was about to go but Aashna stops him..

Aashna: (laughing) Its ohk. You need not be this nervous. You are my friend. We know each other. But the things is that...

Before she say anything someone interupts her. She shockingly sees that person....
