I'll wait for you (Pt.1)

Damian paced around the floors of the hospital. He had been doing this almost every day for a whole month. He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. He paused in front of the girl's bed.

"I really hope you wake up soon" he spoke gently.

He walked over to the side of the bed and took a seat next to it. He stared down at the motionless figure in front if him. The only thing that moved was her chest when she breathed.

He let out a sad sigh as he wondered when he would get to see the the girl's amethyst eyes again. He missed staring into them. Whenever he stared into those deep purple pools it would seem as if all of his trouble would melt away. He missed seeing that warm smile of hers that would make his heart flutter. No one had ever had been able to make him feel this way before, no one at all, so why did this girl seem to have such a huge effect on him?

He blamed himself for this. If he had done more to protect her, she wouldn't be in the current state that she was in now. When Raven had gotten injured in that fight he was ready to kill someone. He couldn't imagine living a single day without his best friend and now there was no telling when he would get to see her awake again. She was the only person that understood him. She knew what he had been through. A few years ago, he was a completely different person, but thanks to Raven, he had changed. She had always seemed to have a positive effect on him. She had always been able to calm him down when he was angry.

He hated that he didn't have that anymore.

He continued to pray to anyone that was listening that she would wake up and he would get to tell her how much he loved her. He would hold her in his arms tightly and never let her go.

"We miss you," he placed a hand on her pale cheek. He sighed a took a deep breath. "I miss you," he whispered.

Tears threatened to fall from his eyes, but he squeezed them shut before any could escape.

"Please, wake up soon, Raven" he pleaded.

He stood up from his chair and checked the time. The doctor had told him that his visit would have to be over at noon. He walked towards the door, but paused in the doorway and glanced behind him one more time.

"I'll wait for you." He quietly shut the door behind him.

I'll wait for you.
