Tell The Truth! Part 1

Not a Couple

Raven walked into the Titans' living room dressed in casual clothes. Around her she saw Garfield and Jaime playing a video game. She remebered that Kori had told them all she was going away with Nightwing for a "vacation."

Looking around, Raven noticed that Damian wasn't around. She rolled her eyes. He's probably training, she thought exasperatedly.

A few seconds later, the Titans' screen replaced the game with a flashing green, alerting them that they were receiving a transmission.

"Damn it!" Jaime swore. "Right in the middle of the game!"

Raven glared at him. "Shut up and go get Damian," she ordered. The empath walked over to the screen, answering the call. "Titan member Raven speaking."

The face of Wonder Woman with Superman and Batman on either side of her appeared. "Titans, we have intel that a bank robbery is going on in Jump," she informed them. A picture of four teens about their age came up.

"They call themselves the H.I.V.E Five," Batman told teens.

Raven nodded. "We're on it," she assured them.

"Good luck, Titans," Superman said before they broke communication.

"That's stupid," Garfield commented from next to her. "There are four of them, not five."

Raven rolled her eyes. "No one ever said all bad guys came up with creative names," she quipped.

Damian (who was already in his uniform) and Jaime emerged into the room. "What's the situation?" Damian asked.

"A team called the H.I.V.E Five are robbing Jump City Bank," Raven informed them, showing them the picture.

"If they're the H.I.V.E Five, why are there four of them?" Jaime asked.

Raven sent Garfield a glare before he could open his mouth. "Nevermind that!" she snapped. "Titans, go!"

Raven and Jaime's uniforms appeared on them in the sparkly, Sailor Moon rip-off sequence and Garfield changed into an eagle.

Once the Titans arrived at the bank, they immediately encountered the four teens from the picture:

The first was a girl with gray skin similar to Raven's. She had light pink hair that reminded Raven of demon horns. Her snake-like eyes matched her hair. Raven could tell just from her aura that she was a sorceress.

Beside her was a man at least six feet tall. He was overly buff and reminded Raven of a caveman.

The next was an African-American kid who had a green eye-like helmet covering half his face. He was dressed in a white jumpsuit with green boots and gloves.

The last was a guy in a red jumpsuit with a multiplication sign on his chest. His red mask covered half his face.

The pink-haired sorceress noticed the Titans and grinned wickedly. "Look what we have here boys!" she exclaimed to her team. "The Teen Titans!"

Robin glared at them. "Who are you supposed to be?" he demanded.

Didn't we just go over this? Raven thought.

"We're the H.I.V.E Five!" the girl informed the Titans. "H.I.V.E Five, eat 'em alive!" she shouted before someone could question the name.

The sorceress immediately went after Raven, the caveman rushed at Robin, the eye-guy attacked Blue Beetle, and the multiplication man ran towards Beast Boy.

Raven dodged the girl's attack on her. "Who are you?" she demanded.

The pink-eyed girl grinned at her. "Name's Jinx!" she announced, sending a pink energy wave at Raven. "And you're in for some very bad luck!"

Raven lept into the air, sending her own black beam outlined in purple. Jinx blocked it, sending a pink zap towards the empath. Raven jerked her head to the side, but the zap grazed her cheek, drawing blood. She hissed in pain before using telekinesis and throwing a mailbox at Jinx. It hit the sorceress in the stomach, sending her hurtling towards a wall.

Raven smirked; Jinx was a skilled sorceress, but her magical level was low compared to the half-demon's. Raven was the daughter of Trigon the Terrible and an Azarathian, Jinx stood no chance.

But Raven also noticed that Jinx had more control over her powers, probably because they didn't entirely rely on her emotions. Sure, if she gets mad someone might get a little shock. But if Raven gets angry enough, all hell could break loose.

The half-Azarathian was glad to see that the other Titans had beaten the rest of the H.I.V.E.

The Titans quickly handed the teenage villains over to the police, regrouping a few feet away.

"Guys, we were totally amazing!" Beast Boy exclaimed happily.

"We were awesome!" Beetle agreed, giving the changeling a high-five.

Raven was about to reply, when her eyes widened. A pink energy wave came spiraling out of nowhere towards Damian. Acting fast, she gripped his cape, pulling him out of the way.

Raven's amethyst eyes glowed red when she saw Jinx (now free of her binds) with a smirk on her face. "I got this," she said through gritted teeth to her teammates. The empath flew towards Jinx, sending a series of black beams outlined in purple at her.

They were so fast that Jinx couldn't dodge all of them. She was hit by one in the chest, making her fall back.

The reason Raven was so angry? The spell Jinx had attempted to hit Robin was fatal. It put their victims through excruciating pain and unbearable torture, enough to drive one into insanity. And there was no freaking way Raven was going to let her best friend suffer more than he already has.

"You phyco!" Raven yelled at the sorceress, hauling her up by her shirt.

"What, mad that I could have hurt your boyfriend?" Jinx taunted.

"Shut up!" Raven snarled. "He's not my boyfriend, you idiot!"

Anger, calm yourself, she said to her red emotion.

No! Anger argued. This bitch just tried to kill Damian! And called him our boyfriend!

I never knew my emotions were five years old, Raven deadpan.

Anger, stop distracting Raven! Intelligence snapped. You'll make her lose control!

Don't tell me what to do, Four- Eyes! Anger snapped back.

You're the one with four eyes! Intelligence retorted.

Both of you, shut the hell up! Raven snarled.

Since Raven was busy arguing with her emotions, she didn't notice Jinx get out of her grip. She grabbed Raven's arm, flipping her to the ground.

Raven gasped in pain as her back slammed into the hard concrete.

Jinx smirked down on her. "Come on, it's so obvious you like him," she teased.

Raven slid her legs under Jinx's, making the other girl fall. "Shut up you wannabe-witch!" she shouted. "I don't like Robin!"

Jinx's magenta eyes narrowed. "You're lying!" she shouted. "You want him to notice you! You want to be with him! You love him!"

"Shut up!" Raven shouted back, ripping a street light from the ground and flinging it at Jinx.

Jinx barely dodged it before her hands began to glow-you guessed it-pink. "TELL THE TRUTH!" she bellowed. Jinx shot an energy blast about the size of a small house at Raven.

Raven was unprepared for this attack. Her amethyst eyes were wide as she froze at the sight of the oncoming blast.

Robin rushed to aid his friend. "Raven!" he exclaimed. He grabbed her arm, pulling her with him to avoid the blast.

They succeeded in avoiding the blast full-on, but it hit a building (miraculously having no effect on it), sending a shockwave that caught Robin in the arm and Raven in the leg. Both hissed in pain before falling to the ground.

Raven felt her vision get blurry as the world began to spin. She struggled to keep her eyes open, but it became futile. The last thing she remembered was Robin reaching out to her before her sight was overtaken by darkness.

OoOoOo

When Raven's amethyst eyes fluttered open, she felt...warm. A comforting warmth that enveloped her, tempting her to go back to sleep.

Wait, what?

Raven's eyes snapped opened fully and noticed that this was not her room. This room was more plain than hers, no extra decoration, no special bedspread, etc. It was similar to every Titan's room when they first moved to Titans Tower. When she tried to get up, something held her down.

Raven slowly turned her head upwards and almost screamed; sleeping next to her (and apparently spooning her) was none other than Damian Wayne.

Raven, internally freaking out, tried to get out of his grip, but the former assassin tightened his grip on her. "Mine," he mumbled in his sleep.

Raven's cheeks turned a brilliant red. Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God! His? I'm not his! Am I? No, I don't belong to anyone!

Except Damian! an unknown voice chimed in.

Who are you? Raven demanded.

I'm Lust! the voice answered cheerfully. And let me tell you, there are some girls who would give anything to be in your position!

Lust? Raven asked dryly. I do not have such an emotion.

Yes you do, Intelligence argued. You're talking to her.

Both of you go away, Raven commanded sharply and she was left in silence.

Raven craned her neck to get a good view of Damian's peaceful form and smiled. He looked so pure, so innocent. One would have never guessed he had lead the life he did.

Damian began to stir and opened his eyes and was met with familiar amethyst ones. They immediately narrowed. "What are you doing here?" he demanded.

"I don't know," Raven admitted, shocking herself. She hadn't meant to say that. She decided to turn that sentence into a quip. "I was hoping you could tell me, considering you're the one spooning me."
