Smile
Not a Couple
Damian Wayne observed his teamates from a distance; arms crossed, eyes narrowed, yet a small, somewhat happy smirk graced his face.
Over the last few years he's grown out of his shell, so to speak. Of course, he's still an arrogant and cocky little bastard at times, but he's not trying to kill anybody anymore. And if he's arguing with someone, it's usually playful banter.
But Damian has noticed he isn't the only one. Since Trigon's desfeat, a certain female Titan has been opening up to them almost as much as he has.
Raven has changed over these last few years. Not dramatically, but the change is definitely there.
Sure, she was still a little closed-off, but there's a big difference between when Damian first joined.
And though he would never say it out loud, she looked beautiful when she smiled.
Damian felt the heat rush to his cheeks just thinking about Raven's smile. She never had a big smile, but it was enough. It held a sort of mysterious elegance that went along perfectly with her personality.
And it didn't escape the former assassin that she seemed to smile most around himself.
As more time went by, the two had become close, you could even call them best friends. It was rare when you saw either of them without the other.
Raven was in the middle of talking to Kori when she caught sight of him. She waved at him a little and gave him a small smile that almost made him melt on the spot.
Damian was sure of one thing, Raven's smiles might just make him fall in love with her, if he wasn't already.
