Say No To This

Not a Couple (Hook-up, because those are always fun ^_^)

It was wrong.

It was wrong and I knew it. I was a married woman and he was in a relationship. This was wrong, everything about me was wrong. Everything about him was wrong. I should have said no. Why didn't I say no?

Flashback

I blinked at my bright computer screen through the darkness, my eyes stinging. It was well past midnight and I was still working. Maybe Garfield and Jaime were right. Maybe I should have gone with them upstate when I had the chance. Too late for that now, I guess.

Well, let me tell you, you've never seen a bastard demon more in need of a break. That's when a certain arrogant little prick walked into my life...

I heard a knock on the door and went to answer it. There, in all his glory, stood Damian Wayne. I stared at him, somewhat in shock. I hadn't seen him in years, not since Garfield and I had gotten married. "Damian," I greeted.

He nodded at me. "Raven." There was an awkward silence after that. I mean, what were you supposed to say to someone you used to screw constantly?

My eyes shifted and I cleared my throat, hoping to relieve some tension. "Is there something you needed?"

Damian looked down. "Mar'i and I had a... disagreement," he admitted.

Now, there was something you needed to know about Damian Wayne. You don't simply have a 'disagreement' with him. No, when you opposed Damian on something, you better be ready to back up your words with fists. Of course, he'd never hurt Mar'i, so he probably stormed out on her after a screaming match.

I simply raised an eyebrow. "Did you now?"

"Where's Logan?" he asked, changing the subject.

I looked away. "Upstate with Jaime and our daughter," I answered. Ah, my daughter. The one person I cared about more than anything in the world. I would never be able to erase her disappointed look for when I told her I wouldn't be joining them upstate from my mind. Maybe if I had given in, I wouldn't be in deep shit like I am now.

Damian seemed to regard this information. "And... how is Hope?"

I smiled at the thought of her. "She's my pride and joy," I answered him. My lips formed a thin line as my eyes narrowed. "Why are you here, Damian?"

He shrugged at me. "I can't visit a friend?"

I crossed my arms. "Not if said 'friend' is someone you haven't talked to in years." I sighed, rolling my eyes. "Do you want me to walk with you back home or something?"

I meant it as a joke, but to my surprise, Damian nodded. "Yeah, actually..." And that's how I ended up on Damian Wayne's doorstep an hour later. "Thanks for walking me, I needed that."

I nodded and turned to leave. "Well, I should go, I guess..."

Damian suddenly grabbed my arm, spinning me back around. "Wait..." We gazed at each other, as if we were frozen in time. And by Azar's tongue, I had forgotten how green his eyes were.

Before I knew it, I was on top of him on his couch and we were engaged in a heavy make-out session. Soon, clothes were flying off and we were moaning and screaming and god, did it feel right. We were helpless, we were satisfied.

I don't say no to this.
