Hurt
Not a Couple
*WARNING* My OC Celeste is mentioned, but only for plot purposes. For those of you who don't remember, she's Bruce and Diana's daughter, so there is an implied WonderBat past. That being said, please enjoy!

Though they were very much alike, there were various stark differences between Raven and Damian.
Raven was, for lack of a better word, hidden from her teammates, mostly residing in her room when she was in the tower and only coming out when she needed to (for food, water, etc.). Damian, on the other hand, walked around like he owned the place.
While Raven preferred to keep her opinions to herself, Damian had no problem telling you that you were less than the dirt on his shoes.
You had to really know Raven to detect when she was upset. When Damian was upset, everyone on the tower made sure to steer clear of him.
OoOoOo
Normally, when someone was upset, Raven made sure to give them their space before she intervened at the moment she knew was right (she was an empath after all). But this couldn't go on any longer.
Not only could she feel his obvious pain, it was affecting her as well. She could feel the throbbing pain in his heart, she could see the images. Images of a girl not much younger than them with long black hair and blue eyes.
From the brief memories flashing through her head she could make out, he and the girl (both of them in their suits, so she assumed the girl was apart of the "Batfamily") had gotten into some sort of fight on a rooftop before she stormed off. She seemed to have been missing for a while before they set out to search for her. When they had found her, it had been too late.
Raven winced as the memory of the girl's mutilated body came to mind. From what she could gather, it was the Joker's doing. She could feel her (dare she say it?) friend's grief from the other side of the tower.
She vaguely wondered who this girl was. A friend? A girlfriend, perhaps? She couldn't imagine Damian being in a relationship with someone that young, but who knows? No one really knew of his life outside of the Titans, even her own knowledge was limited.
It was a bad idea, she knew it, but no one should have to suffer like this alone. She was going to comfort him (well, confront him; same difference).
OoOoOo
She knocked and he opened the door a second later. "Raven," he greeted, nodding curtly. "Can I help you?" Even someone who wasn't an empath could sense the various emotions emitting from him.
Raven wasted no time. "You're upset," she observed.
"No, I'm not."
"Yes, you are."
"Am not."
"Are too."
Damian was getting frustrated with her and she knew it. "So what if I am?" he finally snapped. "Why do you care?"
"I care because it affects me too." Selfish bastard, she added in her mind.
He sneered at her. "Then stay the hell out of my head."
She rolled her eyes at him. "It's not like I have a choice. Besides, you're the only one here I can stand. You're hurting and you need to talk about it." She was pushing, she knew she was, but he'd been like this for over a month. He was going to push himself over the edge.
"Well, Raven, maybe I don't want to talk about it."
But she wasn't paying attention to him at the moment. No, she was staring at a picture frame that was resting on his dresser. It held a picture of him and the girl she had seen from her visions.
"This girl," Raven spoke softly. "Who is she?"
Damian practically slammed the frame down. "Nobody," he grounded out. "She's no one."
"She's gone."
She saw him go rigid before his entire demeanor began to soften. "Yeah," he said, his voice cracking softly. "Yeah, she is."
"Who is she?" Raven repeated.
Damian looked at her with eyes full of tears he wouldn't let fall. "My sister," he told her.
She sighed, sitting them both down on his bead. "What happened?" she asked gently.
He took a deep breath before he began, "Her name's Celeste. She's my father and Diana's daughter. They thought she had died a long time ago, but her grandfather - Hades - had kidnapped her and had been training her to be the perfect weapon in Tartarus. Father and Diana rescued her when she was eight."
Raven immediately noticed the similarities between Celeste and Damian (and even herself), but said nothing and let him continue.
"This was before I got there," continued Damian. "She had just been attending a boarding school in Paris before deciding to move back and go to Gotham Academy." He chuckled hollowly at the memories. "At first, we didn't get along. Then, we started to bond. We were so much alike, she was my baby sister." He choked on a sob he tried to hold it back.
Raven felt her heart ache for him, but still stayed quiet. He needed to get through this.
"While I was in Gotham, we had a fight," he revealed. "Celeste is - was - a rebellious teenager. She started hanging with the wrong crowds in the city. Father told me to talk to her about it and I did. She didn't take it well."
Damian buried his face in his hands and she could feel the guilt roll of him. "I said awful things to her," he admitted. "She told me I was being unreasonable, I said that she was being a spoiled brat. She got so angry at me that she stormed away, even though we were supposed to be taking the east side together. I... I didn't go after her. I was upset with her. She wasn't answering her communicator, we searched everywhere for her. When we finally found her, it was too late."
She felt his anger well up inside him.
"The Joker," he practically spat. "He had her the whole time. He had tortured her, beat her with a crowbar before finally leaving her to die inside a warehouse." She saw tears trickle down his cheeks. "He killed her, Raven."
Raven, not being able to take hearing such a sad story anymore, pulled him into her arms. He didn't protest or pull away, just let her hold him.
"I-I failed her," Damian whimpered.
Raven rested his head on her lap and ran her fingers through his hair. "It's not your fault," she assured him softly. "You couldn't have known."
"I shouldn't have let her go alone."
"Maybe not," agreed Raven gently. "but it wasn't your fault."
Damian looked up at her, his green eyes displaying a sort of helplessness she had never seen in him before. "D-Do you think she knows how sorry I am?"
She was quiet for a moment before gently nudging him off her lap, levitating the frame towards him. "Why don't you tell her?" she suggested.
Damian held the frame in his hands, studying his sister's face. "C-Celeste," he spoke shakily. "I, god, Celeste, I'm so fucking sorry. I-I really messed up. I-I didn't mean anything I said, I swear. You meant - you mean - everything to me. I should never have yelled at you and I should never have let you go off alone."
Raven felt her own tears pool in her eyes, but didn't let them fall. She had no right to.
"I-I love you," whispered Damian. "You deserved a much better brother than me." He kissed his fingertip before lightly pressing it to his sister's face. "I love you."
With that, he fell back into Raven's arms and she held him until they were both asleep.
OoOoOo
