Darkness Within Part 2
*WARNING* Wonderbat ahead. But you can view it as friendship if you'd like.
As Damian held a sleeping Raven in his arms tightly as she rested her head on his chest, he couldn't help but to think back to what caused this mess in the first place.
*Flashback*
Damian walked through the hall of Titans Tower, trying to find something to do. He had already kicked the simulator's ass hours ago and now he was bored out of his mind. He considered talking to Raven, but he knew she was probably meditating just about now and didn't want to disturb her.
"Batman, are you certain of this?" he heard Kori ask nervously from the main room as he walked by. He quickly ducked around the corner. "I am not sure that this is the right approach to the situation."
"You said it yourself, Starfire," his father's voice snapped impatiently. "They've become too attached to each other. Probably due to the bond she made between them. They need to be separated to sever this connection. It's for their own good." He didn't need to look into the room to know that his leader was communicating with his father and that they were talking about him and Raven.
"Very well then."
Damian backed away from the door, feelings of anger, shock, and betrayal coursing through his body. Kori and his father wanted to separate him from Raven? They couldn't! She was his only source of sanity in this godforsaken tower! He wouldn't let them!
As quickly and quietly as he could, Damian took off towards the courtyard where Raven was bound to be. Sure enough, he saw familiar purple force field made to keep everyone out. Well (he couldn't help but grin), everyone but him. "Raven!" he exclaimed upon reaching her.
Raven begrudgingly opened her eyes in annoyance. "Damian I told you not to interrupt my meditation anymore," she reminded him.
Damian ignored her comment and grabbed her arm firmly, yet gently, pulling her up in the process. "Never mind that," he insisted. "We have to go. Now."
Raven's look to annoyance turned to one of concern. "What?" she questioned. "Damian, what's going on? Where are we going?"
"Anywhere but here."
"Why?"
"They're planning to separate us," Damian answered, making Raven's eyes go wide. "Raven, please just trust me on this."
Raven wanted to argue, she really did. But those damn charming emerald green eyes of his were pleading and desperate, something they ever rarely were. She didn't have the heart to say no. "Alright then," she agreed. "I suppose we're running away then."
Damian visibly relaxed. "Good," he said. "Now come on, we should be going soon."
Raven nodded and followed him, wondering what the hell she was getting herself into.
Damian chuckled to himself. They were actually going to run away that night. Unfortunately, fate had other plans.
Raven reached the door to the elevator wearing a dark blue hoodie and black pants. Damian was already there dressed in a dark green jacket and dark blue jeans. "Did anyone see you?" he asked.
"No. You?"
"I don't suspect so," answered Damian.
"Well suspect again." The two teenagers turned at the sudden voice. Standing behind them was Koriandr' AKA Starfire and she did not look happy.

You thought I was gonna say Batman, didn't you?

Damian moved in front of Raven defensively. "I won't allow you to separate us," he said immediately
Kori's green eyes narrowed at the teenagers in front of her. "I'm afraid you don't have a choice," she retorted gently yet firmly. "Your father inisted on it Damian."
"I don't give a damn about what he said," Damian growled back. "I'm sick of all of you trying to control my life! I can't even have a girlfriend without one of you breathing down my damn neck!"
Raven blushed, but gave Kori a fierce glare. "I can't belive you," she hissed. "What makes you think you can tell us who we can and can't be with?"
Kori crossed her arms. "As long as you are both members of the Teen Titans and underage, you are under my guardianship," she informed them.
"I'll be eighteen in five months!" protested Raven, her anger growing. "Kori, this is ridiculous! You can't do this!"
Suddenly, Raven felt immense pressure on her neck. The world around her began to faze out and her vision was getting blurry. Damian could feel similar effects and glared up at Kori. "Damn you," he choked out before losing consciousness.
Damian's grip tightened around Raven at the thought of being separate from her as long as his father intended. They both would have certainly died, he could feel it. He had been losing himself to the darkness inside him before he even joined the Titans. But forming that bond with Raven had somehow helped let light into his mind. They both felt pain and loneliness and because of that they understood each other.
Raven, due to how tight Damian was holding her, began to wake up. She yawned. "Not that I don't enjoy you holding me, but I do need to breathe you know."
Damian loosened his grip. "I apologize Beloved," he said, but Raven could feel that his body was tense.
Raven sighed and looked her boyfriend in the eye. "You're thinking about them trying to keep us apart, aren't you?" she guessed.
Damian's teeth clenched. "They had no right," he growled. His muscles slightly relaxed as he looked at Raven with almost sadness in his eyes. "Raven, what do we do now? We can't let them try this again. Next time, it could kill us."
"I know," said Raven. "I guess we just can't let that happen again."
"But you know how my father is," Damian retorted. "He will not listen to me, he never does."
Raven rested her hand on Damian's shoulder. "Don't worry," she assured with a grin. "I think I know someone who can help."
OoOoOo
"You want me to do what?" Diana asked the young girl in front of her.
Raven clasped her hands together. "Diana please," she almost begged. "Just talk to him. Out of everyone in the League and the Titans, he listens to you the most. I can't bare to be separated from Damian."
Diana looked at Raven's pleading face. "How can I say no to that face?" she conceded. "Fine. But I can't guarantee anything."
Raven beamed. "Thanks Diana, you're the best!" she exclaimed, hugging the woman.
Diana hugged her back. "Anything for my goddaughter."
