" You came on a great day, Tempest, we're all supposed to be having a bonding day so we are headed to the beach. I can lend you some swimwear if you need some," Batgirl prattled on happily, totally loving having another girl member.

Mercury smiled shyly at Batgirl, and nodded confirmation. 

With excitement clear in her eyes she led Mercury off to her room in the mountain while the others went to get changed also. Mercury's eyes widened in surprise at the awesome room that Batgirl had, and she loved the way the girl had decorated with black and purple posters and ornaments around the place.

" I reckon this will fit you just fine, and besides, it's Damian's favorite color so he's sure to love it!" Batgirl murmured as she handed over a dark green bikini.

Mercury blushed at Batgirl's comment, embarrassed that the girl had picked up on their relationship before accepting the swimwear and trudging off to put it on in the bathroom.

She would have to keep her silver domino mask on, but she knew Damian, Barbara and Richard would all have to as well. After all, Batman had warned her about identity importance, and that they often worked with Barbara as Batgirl. Barbara also knew that Mercury was a part of the bat clan now, even if her identity was remaining a secret.

When she emerged from the bathroom feeling slightly embarrassed to the fact that her borrowed swimwear showed her Romanian tan to the world, a tan that often got her pegged as ' the foreign girl ' at school.

" Oh yes! Damian will so love it!" Batgirl chuckled as she emerged in her purple bikini, her curly red hair all over the place.

Mercury blushed again and followed Barbara out towards where the beach apparently was, and since she didn't need a towel she had no reason to wait inside any longer. When they got outside, Barbara took one step on to the sand with her bare feet and hissed in displeasure at the heat of the sand under her feet.

" Careful, it's hot," Barbara warned as Mercury joined her.

Mercury shrugged and floated off the ground, her hair floating upwards as well, she took a hold of Barbara's hand and floated the other girl up as wells yarning a small squeak of surprise from the girl at suddenly being off the ground.

Quickly she flew the girl her to the water's edge, and deposited her next to Impulse who was standing there on the cool, wet sand.

" Thanks Tempest!" Batgirl thanked as she sighed in relief at the cool sand.

Mercury grinned at the thanks, and slowly floated back down to the waters edge as Damian joined her.

" You look amazing, Mercury Madeline Janice Felicia Faith," Damian murmured in her ear as he stood close to her.

She smirked at the use of her full name and winked at him with her one eye.

Before she could react he gave her a shove and she let out a strange version a shriek from her ruined vocal chords before disappearing under a wave with a small splash.

" Robin!" Wondergirl scolded lightly, causing him to laugh slightly.

Out of the water stood a sopping wet Mercury who started to shiver greatly. With concern on his face Robin stepped closer to his freezing cold girlfriend, but she stopped shivering as he drew closer and grabbed his arm before judo flipping him in to the water with a splash as payback.

Batgirl, Bumblebee, Wondergirl and Meghan cheered her on, while most of the boys cracked up laughing, Nightwing most of all as his brother spluttered indignantly upon resurfacing.

The two stared at each other for a moment, before in unison, they grabbed Nightwing and flung him in to the water, as he let out a surprised yelp.

As the day continued on, with beach volleyball tournaments and swimming races, Meghan came up to Tempest, who was just exiting the water after being dunked by Nightwing in a water war between him versus Robin and herself.

" Hey Tempest, you want to escape those boys for a bit?" Meghan asked as she observed the girl face palming at their antics.

She received an eager nod in reply, relief clear on the new girl's face.

" You want to help me cook lunch? We're having a barbecue and I'd love some help frying the meat if you have the time," Meghan asked, gesturing to the small barbecue further up the beach.

With a nod, the two girls flew to the barbecue area in an effort to stay away from the hot sand. When they landed, Meghan started on making the salad and slicing bread, staying well away from the barbecue on a bench over the side.

With no idea how to use a barbecue, Mercury commanded a small jet of fire to blast fro her hand and envelop the meat, earning a surprised gasp from Meghan who recoiled instantly from the small flame.

A few moments later, when Mercury deemed the meat to be cooked well enough she expelled the air from the area around the barbecue, cutting off the oxygen to the flames.

Perfectly cooked meat was left and Meghan gave Mercury a very surprised look.

" You mind warning me next time?" She chuckled. " Martians are weakened by fire," she elaborated, causing Mercury to gasp in horror.

" Oh no, it's okay, you didn't know," Meghan assured, before casing a glance at the two speedsters eyeing the food.

" Looks like Wally and Bart are hungry, let's show those. boys how well we girls can cook, shall we," Meghan chuckled, as she eyed the speedsters.

Mercury let out a strange choking sound, that Meghan realized was laughing. She grinned, and motioned for the speedsters to come over and grab their lunches, causing a stampede of their teammates who'd been smelling the barbecue with their mouths watering.
