I've been pondering lately this summer as the FSY program here at BYU this summer has been in full swing. The issue of modesty among the youth has been increasingly concerning over the last three summers.

Now, we need to be careful that we are not judging the circumstances of those who choose, for one reason or another, not to dress modestly, or at least appropriately for the circumstances. We have no idea what they have gone through before getting here to BYU for FSY.

That said, we need to be sure that we are setting the example of not simply just modesty for the sake of modesty, but modesty for the sake of showing the Lord what our hearts are really like. Of course, He knows us better than we know ourselves, including our hearts.

Insight for the day: Our outward appearance should ALWAYS reflect our commitment to the Savior in all of our activities, and not just Church on Sundays.
