I need to write this down before I forget this again.
Recently Western Governors University nominated me for membership in the National Society for Leadership and Success, the largest Honors Society in the country.
Today I watched a Leadership Broadcast featuring Kevin Hart. A couple of things he mentioned really struck me as profound:
1. When asked about how he essentially keeps himself sane during his busy acting schedule, family life and multiple business ventures, he mentioned the necessity of what he calls "clear head space." Nothing more or less than taking time for yourself everyday. For him, it's time away from electronics and other related distractions, but it can be different for everybody else, just as long as you get that "clear head space."
2. His mother told him when he was young that he always had to finish, no matter what he started. He always had to finish. Giving up was not an option. If he finished something and never wanted to do that again, then that was okay, but he had to finish. So, if you start something—then finish it. If something becomes difficult or seemingly impossible, then change your approach to it—but you finish it.
