Have you ever seen a miracle in your life? Do you want God to show one? Take a risk and read this devotional.

Today's Scripture:

Acts 16: 23-24, NLT

"They (Paul and Silas) were severely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn't escape. So the jailer put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks."

Observation:

We all have fears. Sadly, sometimes we let our fears rule over our lives. Thus, it stop us from taking a stand for what God planned for us. And when fear grows, our life shrinks.

So what we must do?

Let us follow the lead of early Christians who fearlessly face their fears.

As I read the Book of Acts, I observed that it shows a bit about how early believers stood up for their faith as they face their fears.

Just like Paul and Silas that proclaimed Jesus boldly and they came up with fierce opposition that leads to the point of imprisonment. Imagine how fear they might have been in the jail after being beaten severely!

But instead of giving in from their fears, Paul and Silas prayed and sang hymns to God. (See Acts 16:25) They didn't let their current situations hinders them from trusting God.

Application:

Guess what happened next,

"Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open and the chains of every prisoner fell off!" (Acts 16:26, NLT)

Whoa! That's a total miracle!

It only means that God really wants to make miracles over our lives. But miracles won't happen if you stand wrapped up in your fears.

Let us follow Paul and Silas that shown courage to face their fears. Let me clear this, courage isn't the absence of fear (The truth is, fear is one of our natural responses), it's moving forward and taking a step of faith.

If you want miracles, face your fears and do not hide away from it. Then you'll see the chains that keeps you from moving forward will be broken.

Prayer:

I encouraged anyone who is reading this to pray that God will give you the courage and the step of faith to face your fears knowing that God is able to make miracles upon miracles in your life.

Declaration:

I declare breakthrough upon breakthrough will happen in our lives. In Jesus Name, we received it!
