Day 2: A Way Out

When Jesus prayed for His disciples, He said, “I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. They do not belong to this world any more than I do. Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.”

God has made provisions for us to live in the world and remain holy, set apart. We know His voice. He loves us. He desires to stay in a close relationship with us. Because we live in the world, we face real temptations like lust and jealousy, but we must fight the urge to succumb. Several things will help us in our fight like spending time in prayer, reading God’s Word and fellowshipping with other believers.

The Bible tells us the temptations we face are the same that everyone experiences, however there is a failsafe antidote. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says when we are tempted, God will provide a way of escape.
