Today's scripture:

John 21:15 (NIV)

"When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter,

"Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?"

"Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you."

Jesus said, "Feed my lambs."

Observation:

The disciples caught nothing after an all night fishing.

But when Jesus arrived at dawn and instructed them, they couldn't even haul the net because there so many fish in it.

They caught a total of 153 large fish and yet the net hadn't torn!

This only shows how God desires to blessed us.

But God also tests us with success.

Does that sound strange?

Suffering tends to push people toward God.

But when people are successful, they often forget about God.

For every person who can handle pain, you'll find very few who can handle fame.
The praise goes to their head, and it destroys them.

Application:

In reality, every compliment is a test.

It's so easy to forget God when success comes your way. But if you remember that your success comes from God, you will pass the success test every time.

Do not forget to give to Him all the glory and making Him your very first priority.

Matthew 6:33 (NIV) 

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Do that and God will bless you. God will do great things through a person who doesn't care who gets the credit.

Prayer:

Lord, forgive me if there are times I became prideful and forgot to give all the glory to Your Name. I know everything that I have comes from you. You are the source of every resources that I've got.

Help me to pass the test of success and became even more responsible in the things you've entrusted to us.

Every blessings that I have is not because of what I've done but because of how good you are.

Thank you for my life, for my friends, for my family, for our church, and the everyday blessings that is fruit of Your grace only. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
