Day 3: Love Like Jesus

Today's lesson is the most important of them all - we must teach our children to love just as Jesus does.

Today's Bible Verse: Luke 6:31 - And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

Today's Challenge: Teach your children the golden rule! Today's challenge is great because it can be an ongoing challenge. Grab a jar and find an item (pennies or corks work well) that can be easily dropped into it. Tell your children that every time they treat another friend, family member, teacher, or classmate nicely, you will place that item in the jar. When the jar is full, they will get to celebrate with a pizza party or a celebration of your choosing. We must give our love to our neighbors always and everyday, just as Jesus did.

Today's Journal Question: For every time you put a penny or cork into the jar, you must have your children answer this question: "How did it make you feel to do what you did for someone else?"
