The school day had just ended, Shuichi had gathered his things and was going to start walking home, when Kokichi grabbed his shoulder.

Shuichi jumped, a little surprised, "h-hey Ouma-Kun. Y-you scared me," He said rubbing his neck.

"Sorry, Saihara-Chan," He smiled, seeming unusually nervous. Kokichi had started calling Shuichi various types of nicknames, like 'Saihara-Chan', since they met. Shuichi used to find them annoying, but he now secretly likes them.

Shuichi smiled, "so is there something you wanted from me?"

Kokichi nodded, "yeah, do you mind talking with me for a second?" He asked, fidgeting with his fingers.

Shuichi didn't exactly know what Kokichi was up to. Honestly, he never did. Kokichi was very close to him, though, so he agreed.

Kokichi smiled and grabbed his hand. Shuichi was surprised, and blushed at the sudden contact. Kokichi didn't seem to notice, and started to lead him to a more private area.

"Soo why'd we need to come over here?" Shuichi asked.

Kokichi was digging hit foot into the ground as he sighed. "Well... I wanna tell you something I've been putting off for a long time." He looked up into Shuichi's eyes, "I- Ireallylikeyouabdcantwaitanylongertotellyou!!" He shouted.

Shuichi blushed, he never expected something like this to come out of Kokichi's mouth. He never thought Kokichi would like him back. "O-O-Ouma-Kun I-I-I-"

"Nishishi! It was a lie!" Kokichi winked, "I was just joking, silly!"

Shuichi stared at him blankly, before realizing what he said. "H-huh? O-oh..." He sighed.

Kokichi tilted his head, "oh? Is Saihara-Chan disappointed?" He asked.

Shuichi's face got warmer, "n-no! I do-"

"What if I told him it wasn't a joke," Kokichi said, looking back up at Shuichi.

"O-ouma-Kun?!" Shuichi said nervously.

"If Saihara-Chan is disappointed, maybe it's worth telling the truth," He smiled mischievously, inching his face closer to Shuichi's. He stopped with about an inch gap between them.

"But, it really was a li-"

"I really like you, ok!" Shuichi shouted.

"H-huh?"

"Whether you were joking around or not.... I.. I like you," Shuichi said quietly.

"Y-You're serious?" Kokichi asked. Shuichi nodded.

Kokichi smiled, and pulled Shuichi into his arms.
