Jadepaw is born to Brightnose, brother of Ripplelight, and Rivertail. Mudpaw and his brother were three moons old when she opened her eyes, but she sticked to them like burrs. She's always being showered with Mudpaw's sweet, but friendly flattery, and she loves it. She likes to look beautiful, so she's always grooming herself, and checking her reflection in puddles. Many cats say she has frog eggs for brains and that she always has her head in the clouds, and this really hurts Jadepaw. When Bluepaw arrives, all of Mudpaw's attention goes to her. Jadepaw hates the rouge with a burning passion for stealing her Muddy Pie away, and often joins in when Dashpaw starts picking on Bluepaw. After Bluepaw was injured, Jadepaw contemplated stuffing death berries down her throat as the blue gray she-cat lie asleep in the medicine cat's den, but she always chickened out. To this day, she's still jealous, and she's still madly in love with Mudpaw.
