— He was born in Seattle, Washington but moved to Portland, Oregon young enough that it's where he remembers growing up. So, he always says that's where he was born and raised.
— He was bullied a bit when he was younger but stated that he never really cared about what others said. The only time it bothered him was when people brought up his family, and when they did he would usually end up fighting them. (Days With Daewon)

— He has one younger brother that he's really close to. The two of them regularly call or Facetime each other and he's stated that he's made long trips just to see some of his school performances and then immediately gone back for promotions the next day.
