A story of a young boy and girl, who are bound by the lyrics of their heart, and finally brought together with the promise of a reunion.

[ THREE YEARS LATER ]

"psst. Hey, don't you think he looks familiar?" a lady seated with her friend, nudges an elbow to catch her attention.

The friend glances at the direction she was gesturing at, only to be overcome with shock.

"holy shit! It's Min Yoongi!" she aggressively whispers into her ear, an excited expression on her face.

"You mean - the actress, Shin Aeri's husband?"

"Yeah, do you think he's talking to his wife on the phone?" her friend points to the man settled across their table, sipping casually on a cup of cappuccino. He seems to be preoccupied with whoever that was on the line, scribbling intensely on a small notebook.

"You know- even though they made headlines about their marriage, I don't think it was for publicity" the lady observes his expression carefully, the gleam in his eyes as he talked on the phone.

"Why do you think that way?" her friend asked.

"Well, he fought through everything just to marry his wife." the lady says, with a knowing look on her face.

"Isn't that just pure, true love?"

<AERI'S POV>

"YAH! YOU JUNGLECOCKS!" Aeri rushed into the scene, wobbling slightly with her high heels. The teenagers exchanged frightened glances as they realised who she was.

"Do you want to die?! Scram off or I'll sue you for the damages!" She took off one of her heels, chasing them with it. They fled instantly as soon as they saw her potential killer weapon.

"Tch...stupid kids" Aeri stared bitterly at her scratched car, the entire exterior ruined with the paint chipping off.

After signing the contract with JYP, she had pursued an acting career. It was a major successful debut, the drama she first starred in earned a gross profit of millions, turning her into a global wide superstar.

At the peak of BTS and her fame however, Yoongi and Aeri announced the news of their marriage in a conference, gaining attention of fans across the world. While most netizens had supported them, a small minority expressed their unhappiness about the news.

"....They can go suck a dick" Aeri rolled her eyes at the words carved into her car door.

"Oh wait, nobody would offer them their dick anyway."

Despite the many reactions of the general public, Aeri's heart was filled with bliss everyday, waking up next to Yoongi and receiving his affection whenever she felt down. He was her saviour, and she was his - the love they had for each other grew stronger with each passing day.

Brushing off the unfortunate event that happened earlier, she makes her way into her sports car, driving towards the hospital where Yoongi will be awaiting. It was her first ultrasound scan today.

"Jagi." Yoongi's eyes softened as Aeri approaches him, his arm fully ready to bring her into a tight embrace.

"Do you think it would be a girl or boy?" Aeri chuckles slightly, rubbing her head against his chest. A gummy smile appears on his face in an instant, and his hands automatically cupped her flushed cheeks.

"Whatever gender our baby will be, I hope they're beautiful like my wife."

"Aish..." Aeri avoids his loving gaze, taking Yoongi's hands away from her cheeks. The redness of her face made it obvious that she was flustered, and Yoongi loved teasing her for those adorable reactions.

The couple made their way to the room, Yoongi guiding her carefully. Once in a while, he would glance at her belly, and a soft smile would appear on his face.

"This over here, is your baby." the nurse points out the greyish blob on the scan.

"He looks like a turtle" Aeri stated with a frown.

"Ani, he's so swaeg. See?" Yoongi points at what seems to be the baby's finger that was shaped in a 🤘

The nurse watched quietly at the odd couple who kept pointing out different things on the scan that she never managed to notice before, wondering how their baby will be like when it's born.

"It's so beautiful." Aeri dances around under the scattering petals that fell gracefully from the branches of the cherry blossom trees, the enchanting sight leaving her with a wide smile on her face.

"Always be like that." Yoongi embraces her softly from the back, his eyes closed.

"Smile, always."

Aeri turns back in surprise, eyes widening at the expression on Yoongi's face. His eyes gazed directly into hers, never faltering - a look of genuine love and blessing, a softness that's unexplainable and strong.

His hair swayed along with the wind, the pastel pink petals that fell onto them like confetti. She rested her head gently on his chest, feeling his touch as he caressed the back of her head, whispering words that caused her feelings to grow louder, stronger, even though she already loved him with all her heart.

"Always be by my side." Yoongi plants a gentle kiss on her lips, conveying everything he had, the emotions he was feeling.

And at that moment, Aeri's feelings overwhelmed her, and she begins to hold back the tears that threatened to burst. She held strongly onto Yoongi, her breath hitching with the relief that came from finally achieving her own happiness she was pretending to have, for the early years of her life.

She was finally happy. Happy with the person she needed most.

"Thank you, Yoongi." Aeri smiles, her eyes blurring with tears.

"For teaching me what love is, and will always be, for the future that awaits us."
