Chapter 6

There was a few moments of silence until Wyatt looked up at me and smiled, "Well how about we start this." He said looking at me kindly.

"Start what?" I asked.

"The girl I was dating didn't work out of course like usual." He started then paused thinking for a second then smiled at me. " I want to take you out on a date Max."

"Wait what?" I scrunch my eyebrows together, I didn't mean to sound ridiculously confused; but I was anyway.

"I want to take you out on a date and see how things go from there... What do you say Max?" Wyatt smiled at me, " I understand your confusion, but I do like you a lot as well. "

"Oh well um." I looked down at my hands that were folded in my lap, " I um yes."

"Perfect, I have Friday off." He said, "I'll have things planned then."

"Oh okay cool. What do you want to do now though since you're already over." I asked and glanced up at him with a small smile. My chest stopped tightening, I was liking this side of Wyatt. I am curious of how this was going to go.

"Why don't we watch a movie and order pizza?" He asked.

"Netflix and chill?" I chuckled, Wyatt rolled his eyes and sighed pulling out his phone.

"Pizza Hut or Papa murphy's?" he asked me.

"Why not Papa johns, they don't have bad prices and they also have an app that we can use." I smiled taking out my phone and went to the app real quick.

"Oh yeah sure, are you paying?"

"Yes, but you're paying for our date." I smirked , "After all you're the one who asked me out."

"Yeah yeah. " Wyatt got up and headed towards the kitchen.

I quickly ordered the pizza then got up and grabbed my debit card; I typed in the number and hit send. It approved it like I knew it would. I put down my phone then headed towards the kitchen wondering what he was doing in there.

"So I found this." Wyatt had a bunch on ingredients for something out on the counters. "I thought I would make some fresh salsa. What do you think?"

"I don't have any chips." I told him.

"Well why don't you run to the store and get some while I make this." He suggested, I rolled my eyes and nodded.

"Alright I'll go and do that." I smiled at him heading towards the door where my shoes, wallet and keys were. "I'll be back in five."

"Alright be safe, I'll hold down the fort while you're gone." He chuckled as I heard him start cutting some fruit.
