~Kat Pov~

My parents told me today we are going to the doctor.

They said we're going to meet my new "friend"...but I think they used a different term.

What's a "sibling"?

~Hawks Pov~

Today is our first ultrasound, and this time Kat will be going with us.

I think he still doesn't exactly understand that the new baby is a sibling, not a friend. But I still think it's super cute!

Once we arrived at the doctors office, Kat immediately drew the attention of all of the nurses.

Once they were done fussing over the now 11 ½ month old, we were brought back to the exam room.

This was actually the first time the doctor had met Kat since my pregnancy with him.

"So this is the little guy that you were pregnant with last time?" he asked, remembering the ultrasounds from my first pregnancy.

"Yup, this is Katsuba. He's almost a year old now" Touya replies, since he was the one holding Kat.

As the doctor moved the wand around on my gel-covered bump, he pointed out different parts of the developing baby.

"Now...I know last time you didn't want to know the gender, but you did decide to find out about whether or not the baby had wings. Do you want to do that again, or do you want to know both answers?" the doctor asked, looking over at us.

"We want to know both answers this time" I said with a smile, holding my husband's hand.

The doctor moved the wand a bit and we saw a fuzzy image near what was the baby's back.

I immediately started crying, recognizing the outline of tiny wings.

"So it does look like this little one will have wings as well....now let's see if we can figure out the gender" the doctor comments, moving the wand again to a couple of positions before stopping when he found what he was looking for.

That is when Touya lost it, eyes clouding with tears."It's a girl...we have a daughter, Keigo," he says, looking at me for the last part.

Kat was looking curiously at the screen, and I could see that he had a question in his mind."M-my friend....is a girl?" he asks, looking at us in confusion.

I chuckled, having Touya put Kat next to me on the bed.

"Buddy she isn't exactly a friend. A friend doesn't live with you every day. A sibling does. This is your little sister" I explained, smiling as realization dawned on his little face.

"Oh...I have a sister?" he asks, excitement filling his voice.

I nod in response, and start crying when he puts his hands on my bump and says "I'll protect you, sissy".
