*the following week*

We decided to go to see Touya's family, bringing Kat with us to see his aunt, uncles, and grandparents.

While Kat was napping in a spare room, we sat down with the family and shared the news of our second pregnancy.

Fuyumi and Rei were ecstatic! They wanted to make clothes and blankets for the baby, especially gender neutral ones.

Natsuo and Shouto congratulated us, and Enji...well, Enji hugged us.

All in all, it was a good day, and we settled into bed that night happy and looking forward to the next chapter of our life.

~~Month 2~~

Now that it was the second month of my pregnancy, we realized that we needed to tell one important person that our family was going to change: 10 month old Katsuba.

We sat our son down one afternoon, telling him that we wanted to discuss something with him.

He was very smart for his age, and was already speaking short sentences.

"Kat, daddy and I were wondering: what would you think of having a little sibling?" I asked, looking at my son who was curled up against my side.

"I...I think I want one" he replies, and I could tell he had something on his mind.

I had a feeling that he was worried the baby would replace him, so I nuzzled him before responding "We would love you and the baby equally, no matter what. You can even help us care for them".

Kat's eyes lit up at that, and he was excited about having a little sibling.

However, he thought of the news about the new baby as if he was getting a friend instead of a brother or sister.
