Afeerah Ali Khan
Shahzar Ali Khan
▬▬▬▬
History of Nawab family
After the separation of India and Pakistan Nawab Ahmed Ali khan migrated to Pakistan along with his wife Rashida Begum.
They built a family and an honourable name for themselves here and lived a contented life. Rashida Begum bore two sons named Nawab Arshad Ali Khan and Nawab Maaz Ali khan.
The sons grew up into strong and honorable men. Arshad Ali khan held more power than his brother Maaz Ali khan. Which led to multiple disputes among the brothers which ended in both brothers going their separate ways after the death for their parents.
In the race of time Arshad Ali khan grew more powerful and influential. His words and presence were believed to be an important part of the country's politics. He was loyal minister and citizen of his country till he reached the age of retirement and stepped down from politics and leaving his business to his sons. Him and his wife Safiya begum had three sons named Nawab Hamid Ali khan, Nawab Faris Ali khan and Nawab Asfand Ali khan. He had his one precious daughter Bareerah Ali khan. Unlike every other family the birth of a girl in Nawab khaandan(family) was rare which made the men of the family soft towards their females.
Meanwhile Maaz Ali lead a simple life away from his brother. He had a son named Nawab Danish Ali khan. In the race of time he drifted away from his brother and his family.
▬▬▬▬▬
In the admist of the peaceful city of swat stood the Haveli of Nawab Arshad Ali. The Haveli was bustling with servants running around and making preparations for the upcoming day of their choti begum and chote Nawab's arrival.
The people of the Haveli were busy in the preparation of the especial day tomorrow.
The men were gathered on the rooftop. The moon hung proudly on the velvety night sky. Casting it's soft glow in the white Haveli. The mountains looked exotic as greenery surrounded the vaste surrounding of the Haveli.
The sound of laughter and dominating deep voices of men clouded the vaste area of the rooftop.
"Asfand beta kab arahi hain humari guriya?" Arshad Ali asked his son Asfand Ali.
(Asfand son when is our princess arriving?)
"Kal Inshallah land hojaye gi uski flight Abba jaan. Humari guriya jald aaye gi" Asfand Ali said with pride and joy filling his entire being.
(If Allah wills tomorrow her flight will land father. Our princess will arrive soon)
"Inshallah" Arshad Ali replied.
"Are bhai woh ghar me na ho tu yeh Haveli sunsaan hojati hai. Pata nahi Kaise yeh paanch saal guzare hain. Uski aur Ashar ki sharatein hi tu is ghar ki khushi ko barqarar rakhti hain" this time it was Hamid Ali who said.
(This house becomes quiet if she's not here. I don't know how we've spent these five years without her. It's hers and Ashar's pranks that keep this Haveli lively)
"Phuppo is coming tomorrow?" Little shayan asked Asfand Ali his grandfather.
"Yes beta your Phuppo is arriving tomorrow" he said lovingly patting his head.
"Yes... I'll go tell everyone" and with that he ran away to tell His cousins and siblings like always. This huge family consisted of the families of the three brothers Nawab Hamid Ali, Nawab Faris Ali and Nawab Asfand Ali.
The family that stood out the most in was of Asfand Ali Khan. With a total of ten children technically four children he was the odd one amongst all.
His eldest being, Faham, then Rafay, Azan and then came the twins Aahil and Asfar.
Asfand Ali wanted a daughter and his wish was granted in the form of triplets but with the blessing they've been trying for. A daughter. Azhar, Afeerah and Ashar. Afeerah was the apple of everyone's eyes.
Though she was not the only girl child in the whole family she was second, but she held her importance often making her other cousin jealous. After these three arrived the unexpected duo Zafar, followed by Ziyaan a year later.
Afeerah was what you would consider the princess of the family. She had a total of nine brother. Her cousins not being very fond of getting along with each other kept their distances leaving her to get even attached to her brothers.
The Nawab khandaan mostly consisted of men, to be more precise good looking men. Good looks ran in their genes. The semi royal family was known all across the country for their wealth or political influence. The birth of a female child was considered a miracle in the family and they were all very fond of their miracles.
The night passed in a blur and soon the sun was out shining and taking over it's territory. The soothing sunlight of the early morning made the scenery look majestic.

After landing in Islamabad airport the brother sister duo was now on their way to the Haveli in swat.
"Azu you'll never win" a female voice filled the speaker challenging the male in the other car. Azhar who had went to pick them up was now involved in a race down the five hour trip to swat valley.
"Never say never afee" Azhar said with his signature smirk on his face. His light brown almost golden eyes shimmered as the sun hit them. His hair flew in different directions as the wind blew them away with itself.
"Azu baby you can't win against us" another dominant voice spoke. The girl cackled as she sped the car swiftly passing the cars that came with Azhar for security. Her foot planted turnkey against the accelerator as she flew past the land cruiser ahead of the other cars.
"Afeerah stop speeding so much" Azhar said as he caught up with her. The cars that had guards sped up to keep up with the road raging siblings.
The occupants of the black Porsche hooted seeing they have almost reached their city leaving the worried male behind.
Her palm spread on the steering turning it to her right as the car slowly entered the lavish driveway. The white haveli welcomed them as the car came to a halt just infront of the fountain that stood in the middle.
The whole family was present outside to welcome the two child like adults. Ashar and Afeerah got down from the car.
Her black hair swished with the wind while her shades covered her beautiful teal green eyes. Dressed in a pair of black jeans, white shirt and a basic white trench coat hanging loosely from her shoulders Afeerah looked exquisite.
"Baba jaan" the woman grinned running off to her baba jaan. She almost pounced on the old man hugging him for dear life.
"I missed you so much" she mumbled in his chest taking in the warmth she had missed so dearly. Ashar walked upto his Dada jaan and paid his Salam. He met everyone and then his baba jaan as his sister had just left him.
"Assalamualikum Baba" he said in his deep voice. His light green eyes shimmered meeting his family after five years.
Asfand patted his son's back and hugged his tightly feeling complete as all his children were finally home.
"Aur ab aap yahi rahen gi na?" Nawab Arshad Ali Khan asked his grand daughter as now the family sat in the huge living room. The royal interior of the huge room added more glamour to it, high ceilings with a grand fire place and expensive painting hanging on the walls.
(And from now on you'll be staying here?)
"Jee Dada jaan. I've gotten a job in a well known hospital here so I don't have any plans to go back " Afeerah said taking a sip of her chai.
(Yes Dada jaan)
Afeerah and Ashar were surgeons by profession. They studied abroad and now we're back to serve their country.
"You know Afeerah aapi Aahil Bhai has found his soulmate" Ziyaan teased. Aahils ears turned pink at the thought of his hopefully soon to be wife. Afeerah gasped as she looked at her elder brother, getting up from her place beside her eldest brother Faham she jumped next to her Aahil.
She hugged him tightly. From the other side Ashar was on his nerves. These two were five year olds in the body of twenty six years olds.
"Bhai I'm so happy for you. Who is she? What does she look? What's her name? Is it love or arrange? Tell me everything" she threw question after question as Aahil grew more red. It was an arranged proposal but he liked her from first sight. Who knew that this almost thirty year old lad would have a crush on someone.
Her mother narrated the whole thing to her and Afeerah and Ashar were on their duty to tease their brother to no end. Soon the tiredness settled in their body and they yawned simultaneously. They had finally let Aahil off the hook and had taken their leave to their bedrooms.
▬▬▬▬▬
It's been a week since the two clowns came back. The Haveli was as lively as it ever was. Afeerah and Ashar pulling pranks on everyone was something everyone missed. The older three would visit almost daily with their families while the unmarried brothers stayed at the Haveli with the rest.
It was a normal day for everyone till Asfar had called his mother to let her know that he'll be bringing home a friend for lunch.
Shahzar Khan to be precise. A man known world wide for his fast spreading business. A billionaire with the looks of a Greek God, Shahzar was the dream of every girl that ever walked on there face of this Earth.
With piercing Hazel Green eyes, stubble covered jaw, muscular built he had all the girls swooning, but arrogance ran deep in his veins, he paid no attention to any of those girls, letting their fantasies go to waste.
Asfar and Shahzar were friends ever since they could remember. They first met at a business party and then joined hands in becoming business partners and to that it had been years, Asfar was closest to Shahzar, more like family for him.
"So Shahzar beta how have been doing" Asfand Ali Khan asked. Him and his sons accompanied him as they sat in the drawing room with all sorts of refreshments decorating the table for the man present there with his dominating aura. Shahzar enjoyed the company of this family since he never had one of his own, his own family was very problematic and his parents passed away when he was fifteen.
"It's been going well uncle—" his words were cut short as Afeerah came running.
"Baba save me from the monster" she said panting hard. Shahzar couldn't move his gaze away from the petite figure who stood behind the couch Asfand Ali Khan sat on.
"What did you do?" Asfand asked in a stern voice. He received his answer as a drenched Ashar came running in fuming in anger.
"You bi–" he said running forward but in response slipped on the tiled floor badly.
He groaned in pain as Afeerah doubled over in laughter. She sat down on the floor laughing hysterically seeing him try to get up but slipping everytime.
Faham helped him up but ended up falling with him as he pulled him down. Afeerah was by now rolling on the floor with laughter. Shahzar felt his heartbeat erratically seeing the sight of this angel dressed in a light blue suit laughing hysterically not caring about who was around.
"Sorry" she tried saying normally but ended up wheezing even more.
"Afeerah" Asfand said in a stern voice getting up from his place. Afeerah sobered up as she straightened before her father who towered over her. Eyes similar to hers glared at her but it faltered as he heard his son whining from behind.
"Jee Baba." Afeerah said with utmost innocence. Shahzar kept on gazing at her, her round face, her dimpled smile, black hair made up in a messy bun, her plum lips tucked between her teeth as she failed to stop herself from bursting into laughter.
(Yes baba)
"Explain" her father said. Afeerah's eyes travelled across the room and landed on the unknown man sitting there looking at her already. Her mint green eyes clashed with his hazel green ones, her grin dropped as she looked at her father only to feel a giggle bubble in her chest.
"Well.... Baba that's what you get for waking me up from a much needed sleep" she said shrugging her shoulders and pushing her chin up while crossing her arms on her chest arrogantly.
"Isse... Isse me jaan se maar donga" Ashar panted holding his back which hurt alot. Afeerah was on high alert seeing that injured man straightening up.
(I... I will kill her)
"First you have to catch me" she said rounding the couch she stood behind and ran to the couch Shahzar was sitting on. Her fingertips brushed against his nape making his heart go in a frenzy. He tensed up feeling goosebumps arise all over his body.
"Sorry" she apologized moving away from him, a scowl settled in his face as he cleared his throat and sat up straight.
"Run" Ashar said sprinting towards her. Not finding a quick exit Afeerah jumped on the couch whose back faced the door.
"Stop acting like kids you two" Rafay the second eldest said shaking his head. Asfar silently apologized to Shahzar for the interruption which Shahzar shrugged off his eyes still gawking at the impossibly perfect being infront of him.
"He started it"
"She started it"
Both the adults yelled pointing fingers at each other. Their father sighed hopelessly, taking the sign the elder three took charge. After making peace between the two killing machines they thought of introduced the amused looking man to them.
Shahzar had met many girls in his life but not a single one jumped on a couch ever. The family never failed to amuse him, first his friend having that many siblings, compared to him who was an only child he was surprised to know that big families existed and then this encounter.
From hoe civil Asfand and his son's were he doubted if these two were even sane as they argued completely ignoring him.
"Afeerah, Ashar this is Shahzar. Shahzar Khan owner of khan corporation." Asfar said pointing at the who was uptill now ignored man.
Afeerah sat down on the couch back rest while Ashar went to change his drenched clothes. The oil - that Afeerah had expertly spilled on her way in - was cleaned beforehand making it easier for the man to slip a little less this time.
She nodded at him. Her teal green eyes asked for his utmost attention. Her face was red from all the laughter but she only appeared adorable to his eyes.
"I've heard alot about you from Asfar bhai Mr Shahzar" Afeerah said confidently.
"I hope all you've heard is good" he said sitting up straight with his body turned to her side completely.
"That I guarantee" she said with a small smile. They all indulged in a conversation as a while later a servant came rushing with Afeerah's phone in one hand.
Answering the phone call Afeerah left in a rush since it was an emergency at the hospital and she was needed.
Asfand sahab stopped Shahzar for dinner and he obliged after a small argument. Afeerah didn't come home at night as a result her father sent Azhar to the hospital to know if everything was fine.
Reaching home Shahzar couldn't stop thinking of the angel he had encountered. He tried to get rid of her thoughts but she didn't leave his mind. Her dimpled smile, twinkling green eyes, red cheeks and silky black hair all enticed him.
She was a sight this man wanted to see everyday, to have her there in front of him all the time, he always got what he wanted and now Afeerah Ali Khan was on the top of his list......
