B&W 2.

“filled with nothingness
She walked along the shore
Calm wind and raging storms
Hostile world and cold embrace
Of the one I want with me to stay.”

Words spilled on the paper as the ink bled through the curves dug in by the tip of the fountain pen. Few strands of her hair flew along tht wind that gushed past her in the open balcony she sat in.

Buraak has gone on a business trip and she was home alone with Sabra Apa. All the lights in thr house were on day and night. Even a single dark corner would giving her anxiety.

She could feel him lingering around her as the sky turned a shakes darker. She walked inside the house not wanting to sit outside in the dark wait for disaster to capture her.

She hummed her way down the stairs feeling empty at the lack of people in tht house. She came from a house filled with people, while this house only had Buraak, her and Sabra Apa. Buraak's parents never visited them, she knew it was because of her.

Everyone considers her a freak or someone who's mentally ill and chooses to ignore her or stay away from her.

All her life everyone chose Safa over her because she was everyone's definition of normal. But Safa chose her. She loved her and always supported her.

Halfway down she turned around to walk up to Buraak's study. It was her favourite place in the entire house, bright, quiet and calm.

She sat there with her phone placed on tht table. She went over and grabbed one of her guitar that she had hidden in a corner.

Her fingers expertly started playing with the strings, teasing them as she tried building up a tone.

"I hold my tears back
You climb down my windowsill
My eye they burned a shade of red" a lyric slipped past her lips, as the tone softly started building up.

"It hurts... too much when I look in your eyes
Knowing your.. not nor will ever be mine" catching her breath she tried keeping it low as to not let anyone hear her.

"And I've see how this goes and I know where this ends

Oh no...

I don't have it in me to let go

No....

Can't you stay alittle... longer so... I could show..." She sang and started building up the tension in tht keys and the notes.

A swift notion of the hand and the beat dropped on a higher note.

"That I'm worth the patience
I'm worth wait.
I'm gonna fight everyday
Till I make my way...
to you...." She took in a breath and kept going as the low notes kept building up. Her fingers playing expertly with tht rhythm she came up with.

"Why can't you see that I'm crying for you
Why can't stay till I lose my fight

Why won't tell me how much you'll miss me
But you're already.. gone..

You're gone......" She stopped to take in a breath. Her face was turning red but she had it all planned in her mind.

"You're gone and you're far

and you're nowhere near

and all I can see are clouds not clear

is this what I asked for.....

Is this why begged......

Is this what I have left now....

Of you......" The wind rustled outside the window trying to hear her voice wanting to be entranced like every other element of this Earth.

"Come back to me
I want to see
I wanna see my reflection in the mirror with yours
and I want you hold to me...
Till I let go
Of my last breath.......

We've been through alot
And we've been through a war
But the time have left us mourning for more
And now I see you walk out, as I look at my hand
so empty and cold, I can't understand
Times will grow old and I'll be forever be gone till you notice.

That I've let go...." The key drifted off as the song came to an end. She got alerted at the sound of the main door opening and she hid the guitar away successfully before running down the stairs to see who it was.

Buraak had just returned home after a long trip to Dubai, he had been away for more than two months.

"Aap aagaye" he heard a cheery voice from the living room. He looked up the floor after removing his shoes to come face to face with a grinning face of Wafa.
(You're home)

"Haan. Agaya Hoon" he replied making her nod her head and walk towards him.
(Yes. I'm back home)

"Yeh tu acha hogaya" she said taking his duffle bag from him.
(That's good)

"You go freshen up I'll get you something to drink" she said smiling, trying her hardest to not hug him and tell him how much she had missed him.

"Here you go" she said serving him some juice. He nodded taking it from her.

"So how was your trip?" She asked plopping down beside him. Her eyes wide as she waited for him to tell her about everything that he must've done there.

"Hectic. What else can a business meeting be?" He said scoffing keeping his attention to the tv.

"Oh.. but you must've done something exciting?" She tried not to let her spirit down.

"Wafa can we please not talk right now, I'm really tired from the flight" he groaned throwing his back on the head rest of the couch.

She frowned at his stoic expression and hesitantly pushed her hand forward into his hair. His eyes snapped open to meet her when he felt someone running their fingers through his hair.

"What are you doing?"

"I.. I thought this would help. Sorry" she said hurriedly waiting for a scolding or taunt but none came, instead he put his head in her lap freezing her on her place.

"What.. keep going" he said closing his eyes leaving her baffled. When she didn't move he took her hand in his and placed it on his head.

A shy smile bit her lips as she started running her fingers through his hair feeling how soft they were, it stretched into a full blown smile as excited Jitters raked her body.

She kept playing with his waves twirling them around her finger. Buraak made himself comfortable on her lap making her stop in hesitance.

"Why do you stop everytime?" He said in a half conscious state.

"Don't... Don't fall asleep here you won't be comfor—" she whispered but stopped seeing him peak open an eye.

"Fine" he grumbled getting up almost falling over in his sleep.

He dragged her up in their room and made her sit down on the bed and laid down beside her.

"Now don't move until I say so"

She wanted to ask what if she had to go to the bathroom but refrained and decided to just go by then he'll be a sleep hopefully.

She sat there running her fingers through his hair as she slowly watched him slip into his slumber. She took her dupatta and covered his eyes with it so he doesn't feel irritated by the light.

She laid down gazing at his face, it's the first time actually in two months when he had let him touch him to be this close to him.

She was amazed at how this looked so peaceful in his sleep and always so stiff when awake.

She didn't realize but soon she slipped into abyss herself. Her hand still in his hair and the other holding his.

The morning sun graced the world with it's shine as it's rays combine with that of the bulb in the room. A shrill noise of an alarm clock broke the peaceful environment of the room making the man snuggle not close to the welcoming warmth of the person he hugged and dreamt of.

He smiled muttering something under his breath holding the person closer, his eyes opened at yet another wake up call of his alarm. He looked at the weight on his chest making his eyes wide, his gaze settled on a mass of thick brown locks spread on his pillow and his arms.

His smile dropped as they settled on the familiar features of his wife. His heart dropped and so did his pleasant mood.

He pushed her away but she only held onto him tighter.

"Safa aapi two more minutes" she mumbled making his blood boil and push her back more forcefully.

"How many times do I have to tell you Wafa don't come near me" he gritted making her gulp and straighten herself.

"Sorry I... I slept on my side. I don't know how" she said nervously feeling tears gather at the back of her eyes at his strict gaze.

Will he also punish me?

Obviously you did wrong now he'll punish you for it.

"Just don't ever.. and I mean ever do that again. I'll get you another room ready"

"But Buraak I pro—"

"I've said what I had to, end of discussion" he said going to the bathroom shutting tht door loudly making her flinch and stand frozen on her spot.

She didn't dare to even look up at him after that morning incident. She kept checking her pulse rate at the mere sight of him and only her doctor knows how abnormal it was.

She didn't want him to go this soon. He had just arrived after two months and she barely ever got time to spend with him.

"Buraak" she called once he was about to leave.

"What?" He asked not bothering to turn around.

"Sorry" she said meekly waiting for his acceptance but he left without an answer.

"Is that an it's okay or not?" She asked staring at the door.

She sat in her living room trying to think of a way to kill this time when an idea popped in her head. She picked up her phone and dialled the number she had memorised by heart.

"Assalamualikum Aapi....."

"

Wafa come on. I'm tired now" the other female groaned watching her sister go over all sorts of clothing items.

"Aapi just a few more. Besides I'm just checking them not buying the whole store. How's this?" she said holding a red kurti out for her sister to see.

"He doesn't— Wafa can we please go back now. Besides he'll be returning back home soon" Safa said making Wafa look at her confused.

"What were you going to say before that?" Wafa asked.

"Nothing. Wafa Chand let's go" Safa cooed making her leave the dress behind half heartedly and walk out with her sister.

"Oh look Aapi that's Buraak" she squealed happily pointing to a man who stood on the floor above.

Safa turned to where her sister was enthusiastically pointing grabbing the attention of passerbys.

Safa felt her blood boil at the sight of Buraak with another woman, much to Wafa's naiveness she didn't realize what exactly was going on up there. Buraak looked down at her smirking as he caught her eye.

"Wafa. Chand let's just go home. You can meet him when we're home alright" Safa said trying to stop her sister from running upstairs to him.

"Aapi" Wafa said defensively.

"Wafa. Do you.... Do you want ice cream? There's a shot right across the corner let's go there. Hm?" She said trying to drag her away.

Wafa gave in dejectedly and gave one last look at the place where Buraak was but he wasn't there anymore.

"Hello ladies" a voice broke there conversation as the duo looked up. Much to ones horror and the other excitement.

"Hi" Wafa said waving shortly like a child.

"Hello Buraak" Safa nodded nonchalantly.

"How is my favourite Sister in law?" He asked sitting down beside Wafa.

"I'm good. How are you?" She asked avoiding eye contact with him.

"I'm great now that I've met my favorite people. How can I not be?" He said taking Wafa's hand in his making her heart go wild. A faint blush covered her cheeks as she gazed at their joined hands and not his eyes that were no where near her.

"I'll go get the ice cream" Safa said feeing uncomfortable under his scrutinizing gaze.

"I'll come with you. After all I know Wafa's favourite flavour don't I?" He said looking at her with a smile making her eyes go wide and blush grow darker.

"I'll be back Wafa jaan" he said leaving her a mushy mess behind.

Her insides melted as the tingly sensation his touch caused at her hand. She sat there smiling making a few heads turn to her while Safa tried preying him off her back. She gasped when she felt herself being pulled around in a secluded corner.

"What are you doing Buraa—"

"Hi Safa" he said tilting his head to the side with a smirk on his face.

"H.. hi Buraak" she breathed trying to get away from him.

"How's your husband doing? I heard you're planning your honeymoon?" He asked making her blood turn cold in her viens.

"Y... Yes. Wafa must be waiting I should hurry"

"You wouldn't." he chuckled from behind making her halt in her steps.

"You wouldn't risk your dear sister and give your relation a chance. Besides a relation that's formed on lies is weaker than your Wafa's heart" he whispered making her breath hitch, her eyes settled on wafa who sat a little away from her looking around.

"Besides it only takes a touch for your sister to melt so in love just think what else I can do to make her melt into nothingness" he whispered sinisterly in her ear making her feel her soul fading away.

"Don't play eith her like that Buraak I beg you" she whispered with tears in her eyes.

"She's my wife and I have all rights" he said winking at the girl he left behind. He eyed the girl sitting in the food court and left.

"You're back. What took you so long? Where's Buraak?" Wafa asked looking around.

"He... He got called for an urgent meeting so he left. Here I brought our ice creams" Safa said trying to sound enthusiastic but it confused Wafa more.

"Aapi are you okay?" She asked making Safa nod and wipe thr sweat away from her neck.

"Yes. I'm perfectly fine. Let's finish this then I'll drop you off at your home" she said with a smile on her face.

"Okay. But you're okay right?" She asked making her sister nod.

Safa dropped her off and hurried away from the house itself. Her heart raced against time making her question her driving.

Wafa went inside to find Buraak sitting on the couch.

"Assalamualikum" she said cheerfully making him hum in response. Her eyebrows furrowed as she stared at him confused.

"Why did you leave so soon? You could've joined us" she said sitting beside him making him turn his head towards her.

"What have I said about not sitting so close to me?" He said making her frown and scoot away from him. His change of behavior was very confusing to her.

"Am I not forgiven yet?" She asked. She was hoping that he had forgiven her but maybe he didn't.

"No. You're still not" he said making her eye moist and anxiety worse than it was before.

"Anyways I've gotten your room ready you'll be staying there from tonight onwards." He said standing up from his position and strutting towards their room.

Her heart sank once again not knowing what to believe and what to feel. Why was he doing this to her?......

Assalamualikum guys how are you all?

Here is another update that I hope you enjoy.

Please ignore the typos y'all know my keypad hated me so let's not go there.

Also the song/poem is written by me.

Either ways. For those asking I it's going to be a horror story or not so let me tell you I'm not sure. This is the start of tht story and I have quite a few ideas as to how I want it to go. I will have a hint of horror but not too much because its my first time writing horror so I can't say anything.

Well...

Enjoy...
