B&W 11.
Their breaths hung in their throats. The sight infront of them was a sight they wished not even their enemies would witness.
The whole house was thrashed, broken and ruined, it looked as though a hurricane raked their whole house. Blood smeared all over the floor. His eyes caught a small pile.of dark brown fur gathered around ripped and shredded flesh.
"Nugget" a whisper left his lips. He gulped his fear and emotions reminiscing the times he had brought that cat in and fed it till wafa wasn't in shape. The animal had eventually started warming up to him and had become a good company of his. He took in a deep breath looking away from the bloodied cat.
"Buraak" a broken whisper resounded in the silent house. He turned to her who stood stunned staring at the ceiling. A trail of crimson trailed down the side of her nose. He followed her gaze and what he aw made his lung stop functioning.
"Sabra" he let out a breath staring into the eyes of the corpse that hung face down above them, covered in blood.
His eyes widened and he pushed Wafa and himself out of the spot, the body fell down. Wafa screamed shutting her eyes tightly. He held her against his chest not letting her move her face even a bit to look at the scene.
His eyes stayed on the woman laying limp on floor. The sound of broken bones filled his ears and the woman moved in front of him. Was breathed in deeply with every move the woman made. The face down body turned over on its own and a growl ripped out of its split open mouth.
Her mouth was cut open in a horrifying grin, bloodied the woman turned her head towards him. Her front ripped open. He felt nausea at the sight.
The white in her eyes started evaporating into black abyss. An echoing deep laughter rumbled the walls of the house. He slowly started moving towards the door hiding Wafa behind him. The woman got on all fours, hands and feet twisted in in human ways.
They were about to run out when the door shut closed on its own. Wafa banged on the door trying to open it but it wouldn't budge.
"She's mine" a growl erupted from behind them. Buraak turned around and found Sabra standing behind him.
"Back off" he said shielding wafa with his body.
He started reciting Ayat ul Kursi, he recited it three times and blew it on himself and Wafa.
"I will not let you have her. She's my possession" the being yelled making the glass windows break and then to conceal their eyes with their hands.
"She's no one's. You hear me" Buraak yelled trying to open the door to escape.
"Please let us go" Wafa cried making his head tilt towards her. A laugh made her shiver back, she knew it well that laughter.
"He can go but you.. I won't let you leave" that entity said coming towards her in the speed of lightening. It was about to reach her when it was pushed away.
Enraged it got up back at his feet and glared at the woman, she was untouchable for him and he craved her. With an unquenchable thirst it charged towards her again but a step away something threw him off. He screamed in pain, the force burned it to the core.
His black eyes looked in her direction but all he saw was a wall of silver around the duo. Yelling in frustration it tried again but this time the blow as hard.
They witnessed as something stopped him from even reaching them. The doors opened and they ran out without a second look at the limp body of the woman.
Once they were out Wafa kneeled down breathing heavily. Lowering his wife to the ground he sat down next to her. He took in deep breaths inorder to calm himself down. What he had witnessed had made him insane.
"Wafa? Are you okay?" He asked once he had gathered himself. He cupped her face which was stone cold.
"Huh? Yeah" she breathed still in a daze.
"Come on let's go. We'll stay at my parents house tonight" he said getting up on his wobbling legs.
"I'm sorry. It's all because of me that you're in this mess" she said coughing. Her throat felt as if it was made of sandpaper.
"Well. Not much can be done now so let's just fight it together" he breathed feeling shivers run down his spine.
"What... What are we going to do now? Sabra apa?" Her voice cracked at the thought of what he had done to that innocent woman. She sobbed feeling guilty of what was happening around them.
"We have to leave for now. Tomorrow I'll come here with some imams to check the whole house. Sabra's funeral will be done tomorrow as well." He said making her nod.
"You stay here I'll come back" he said making her sit in the car.
"What... Where are you going?" Wafa panicked clutching his hand.
"I have to lock the doors?" He said making her sigh and let him go. He smiled and turned around to go.
With shaking hands he reached the door. He made the mistake to look inside and he locked eyes with Sabra's body. The longer he looked the more shivers ran deep in his bone. The body rocked and he slammed the doors shut. His heart was racing in his chest and his hands shook whilst locking the doors.
He ran to his car and got in breathing heavily. He didn't answer wafa who was gazing at him concerned. He drove as fast as he could to get away from the house.
The whole ride he felt a nagging at the back of his head. He didn't know what it was but it was a feeling of dread that was making him loose his mind.
Reaching home that late was another show. His mother had bombarded them with questions while throwing dirty looks at wafa. He didn't know how he had dragged Wafa upto his room and had ignored his mother but he did.
He sat on his bed silently, just breathing when he jolted out of his mind. He looked up to see Wafa standing there with a frown ok her face.
"Buraak?" She questioned kneeling down infront of him, cupping his face.
She didn't say anything just kept gazing into his eyes maintaining the silence in the room. Her thumb kept caressing his face making him forget all his worries. His nerves calming down to the cold touch of her hands.
Her knuckles caressed his cheek bones curling around his nape, while her other hand came down to his chest right above his heart.
"Breath. You're holding it in for too long. Take a long deep breath" she said placing his hand on her heart and kept his eyes trained on hers.
He followed her instructions feeling her heart beat under his palm. The thudding in his chest calmed down and his mind hazed with the touch of her thumb caressing his face.
"You're doing great. Don't worry. All this will go away soon" she whispered inching closer to his face standing up on her knees. His hand on its own went around her waist and pulled her close in a hug. He pulled her up and settled her on his lap nuzzling his face in her chest.
She ran her fingers through his hair, he'd been having a panic attack and not realizing it. She was the cause of this and she had to make it better.
She rubbed his back and his shoulders, her fingers brushed through his hair down his nape and the back of his ear.
"It's okay. Just focus on your breathing Buraak. In and out." She kept whispering while he focused on the sound of her heartbeat.
"It's all going to be okay" she whispered kissing his temple. She recited the four quls softly in his ear and blew them on him. His heart calmed down and his brain felt relaxed, she kissed his cheek before softly pulling away. She got up from his lap and helped him out of his shoes.
"Come on. You change and then go to sleep." she smiled nodding at him who returned the gesture. He stood up taking a deep breath and pulled her retreating figure.
He leaned down and captured her lips in a soft and warm kiss. She froze, her eyes widened and her heart stopped for a second. His thumb caressed her cheek as his lips moved against hers ever so slowly. He kept his lips against hers and then pulled away slowly.
"Thank you" he whispered against her lips, a smile spreading on his face. Her face heated and her words melted away in the rush of blood that she heard in her ears.
He walked into his bathroom leaving her breathless behind. She blinked after what felt like an eternity, she cupped her warm cheeks with her cold hands, her fingers coming to brush against her tingling lips. She looked at his back and back at the empty. A shy smile tugged at tht ends of her lips which she suppressed as the door of the bathroom clicked shut.
He breathed in deeply feeling a smile plaster his lips. That sensation of having her lips against his or the moment when she cradled him when he himself didn't know he had stopped breathing it was all fascinating to him. The calm he felt from her touch was unrealistic on his account. He didn't know such contentment existed until she had decided to make it known to him.
He took a warm shower wanting to get rid of any signs of that bloodied scenery. He closed his eyes and the image replayed infront of him. His eye snapped open but he reminded himself that it will all be okay.
Feeling that warmth of the water rolling down his body he relaxed his shoulders and stood under the shower. Upon being done he wrapped a towel around himself and walked out.
His eyes traveled the length of the black gown, reaching the tips of her open brown locks and finally falling on her face. She was removing her makeup using his moisturizer and tissues.
Not having enough warmth to fight the cold he walked in his closet and got dressed in a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt. He went to his bed and laid down waiting for her to emerge from the bathroom.
"Buraak" he heard her calling from behind the door.
"Yes?" He asked sitting up on his bed.
"I... Uh...can I borrow your cloths for tonight" he heard her, he chuckled at the shyness that her voice carried with it.
"Yeah sure." He answered laying back and watching the door intently.
"Um.. Buraak?" She called again.
"Yeah?" He asked with a smirk on his face.
"Can you... Bring me any please." She said making his smirk wider.
"Why can't you get them yourself?" He teased.
"Buraak please I'm not in the best state." she whined from behind the door.
"I don't see why you have a problem" he said getting in his closet to grab her a shirt and a pair of sweatpants.
"Buraak" She huffed and opened the door alittle to peak her head out but jumped at finding him leaning against the door frame.
"Did you get me anything?" she asked with raised eyebrows. She tried hiding herself behind the door since the towel was short for her liking.
"Yeah. Here" he smirked, his eyes falling on her bare shoulder and wet locks. Her thin arm came out to grab the cloths from his hand but he grabbed the arm and pulled her out.
Wafa shrieked at the sudden pull, she glared at the man who stood with his arm around her waist. She clutched the towel for life feeling her body heat up at the exposure. She didn't find anything flattering about herself. Tall, skinny and short on curves. She looked down in embarrassment and tried freeing herself from his hold but he didn't let her go instead his hands came up to her shoulder caressing its way up and down her arm making goosebumps arise on her body.
"Buraak" she whined feeling extremely insecure under his heated gaze.
He. Who was fazed to have felt such soft skin under his palm blinked out of his daydreams. He didn't waste a second before letting her free and handing her the clothes. He saw where the problem was and he knew how bad it was for him. She was exquisite and her being exposed to his eyes was a decision she had to take not him after this.
She ran inside feeling confused and insecure. Not thinking about what he must've thought about her average self she wore his cloths drowning in the largeness of them.
She asked out feeling shy and embarrassed. Awkwardly walking over to the bed and refrained to meet his gaze. Her eyes fell in the small couch in the room and she went ahead to grab the pillow and sleep on the uncomfortable looking couch.
"What are you doing he asked seeing her take the pillow.
"Sleep.... I'll sleep on the couch" she strutted looking anywhere but him.
"Why?" He asked confused.
"I... You... You don't like sharing your bed with someone right? You told me that" she said looking up in his eyes while biting her lip.
"Oh.. no. No need now. Beside it's too cold for me to sleep alone in this bed" he said quickly grabbing her pillow and placing it near his and pulling her down. All the while she stared at him wide eyed.
"Uh.. but.." she tried making sense of what was happening and suddenly she was caged in his arms.
"Tonight was very tough I'll need your special cuddles to sleep peacefully tonight. Would you let me do that?" He asked letting her go for a second before she nodded after thinking for a while.
"If you don't mind then okay" she said making him smile and pull her close to his chest.
"Goodnight Wafa. Inshallah from tomorrow onwards we'll start getting the ilm done so you can be free forever" he said gazing into her eyes.
"Ilm?" She asked her eyebrows furrowing.
"Wafa. I didn't ask you before but I had contacted a man who knows about what's happening to us. I'll take her to our house tomorrow for survey. I know I should've told you before but before I had only contacted him for knowledge but now I think we need him more than ever" he explained making her frown and look down at his chest.
"Okay. I've gotten therapy down and that didn't help me much in this case let get this done also what could go wrong" she said making him hum in response.
The night took over their senses and exhaustion started washing over them like a flood. They both snuggled close under the comforter absorbing each other's warmth. Their eyes closed to the world and wide open to dreams that they wished would be there reality. But reality is not a dream now is it.
