“what if it was all a mistake? what if it was meant to be a fragment of their imagination? What if this life was a beautiful hallucination they refused to wake up from. What if?”

Warmth tickled her eyelids making her roll over to the other side. She hugged the pillow close to her hiding her face on its softness. A giddy smile stretched on her lips at the dream that she had witnessed, the feeling of being caressed and loved driving her hazy mind crazy. She wanted to snuggled into his warmth like every other morning, but she found the bed empty.

Her eye opened and closed with in a fraction of seconds, she sat up feeling her head pounding and an unsettling ache between her legs. Her eyes adjusted to her surroundings. She was alone. Alone in her room.

With a hazy mind she looked around to find everything at it's place. She felt exhausted and tired, her eyes settled on the sequins of her dress that was placed on the arm chair in the far corner of the room.

Dread filled her from top to bottom as her head slowly hung and took in her appearance. A white wrinkled shirt was all she wore. Her heart sped faster, her hands starting shaking and her eyes blurred with tears.

"It.. it wasn't a dream. What have we done? He... He left didn't he?"

She clutched her hair, her breathing laboured; the worst scenarios filled her mind and eye with despair.

"Maybe he went to his room to freshen up" she thought. Her eyes were stuck to the door but she didn't hear a single sound coming from outside.

Removing the quilt she felt her heart stop at the stained sheets, she got up from her place while wincing in pain. She limped to the mirror and tore off the shirt only have a dreadful sight become her reflection.

Marks. Purple and blue hickeys littered on her neck, chest and the whole of her body. Her throat clogged as the cut short memories of last night filled her in. Her heart beat fastened as the realization of that dream being a reality filled her in.

"Maybe he went out for something" she thought deciding to wait for him and not jump to conclusions. She went to the bathroom to freshen up a little, she came back, and sat down on her bed waiting for him but when an hour passed and she felt no sense of life in her apartment, she started to feel her heart get heavy.

"A..Aaban" a whisper left her lips as she pulled on a robe and ran out of the room. She clutched her hair as she found the apartment empty. His room also empty. His cloths not in their respective places.

"AABAN!" she yelled in an attempt to call him. She ran into her room grabbing her phone.

She dialed his number, not once, not twice but multiple times but only the voicemail greeted her back making her dizzy.

"No, no. Rain. Yes. his phone must've broken down by the rain last night. He must be here. Somewhere around. He won't leave. He promised, he promised that I could trust him" she nodded to herself like a child. Her shaky hands ran through her hair as her breathing started to getting shallow.

She waited for what felt like eternities to her but were only minutes. Time was passing with the speed of a snail elongating her misery and anxiety.

"He left" she fell to her knees as energy left her body. She stared at the ground in pure horror as the realization of losing herself to another wrong person made sobs shook her body.

"He said he wanted me not my body" a small voice spoke from inside her mind making her shake her head at it.

"Tha.. that was all that he wanted. That's it. THAT'S ALL THAT THEY EVER WANT" she screamed punching the ground feeling her tears wet her tears.

"LIES. LIAR. YOU LIED TO ME" she cried bending down clutching her chest because of the increasing pain. She pushed everything decorated on the coffee table down punching her hand on the glass table. It shattered and pierced into her skin.

"There's nothing left of me. Everyone only lies to me" she cried.

"All they know is to take and break me and now he's taken the one thing that I vowed to not damage. I trusted him but he left me stranded like everyone else. Why do I even try?" She cried hitting the ground with her wounded hand.

"Why did you do this to me Aaban?" She whispered and cried feeling the tiredness, the pain in her body increase.

"There's no one I could hope on"

Aaban walked inside the apartment whistling a tone as he happily locked tht door behind him. He had just gotten free from shifting his belongings to her closet and had decided to bring her favorite donuts for her, the line was long apart from the heavy traffic on the main roads.

There had been an accident and he had to take the longer route to the bakery. He couldn't wipe that smile off his face that bloomed on his features whenever he thought about the previous night.

Setting the package on the kitchen counter along with tht keys he walked upstairs to wake his wife up when he froze in tht doorway seeing her crying on the ground.

He panicked as he rushed to her, her hunched over figure made his blood run cold.

"Huda?" He asked taking her hsking form in his arms.

"What are you doing on the floor? Are you okay?" He asked cupping her face, pushing her hair away. Her tear stricken face made his heart clench in his chest.

"Aaban?" She whispered, her hand reaching up to hold his face. His heart froze at the sight of blood. Little glass shards were mercilessly stuck in her skin, his eyes widened as he got a hold of her hand. Wincing as he took the shards out.

"What have you done to you hand are you fucking crazy" he yelled but her eyes were dead stuck on his face. He got up but she held his hand, her eyes cold and insecure.

"You left" she whispered making him look at her confused.

"What?"

"YOU LEFT ME. WHY ARE YOU HERE AGAIN HUH? DIDN'T YOU GET WHAT YOU WANTED? WASN'T ONE NIGHT ENOUGH?" she yelled holding his collar and shaking him, her voice held a rage that made him shiver.

"What? What are you talking about? I didn't leave." He said trying to get her to calm down.

"Yes you did. You left me after you were done with me. That's all that you ever wanted right?" She yelled, his blood boiled at the accusation, he grabbed her wrist and pulled them behind her back restraining her from hitting him and hurting herself.

"Let's get this bandaged. Come on" he said trying to make her stand up but she held his collar tightly. Her eyes accusing him of something he didn't do.

"You're fucking liar—"

"ENOUGH!" he yelled making her flinch and quiet down as more years made there way down her cheeks.

"STOP ACCUSING ME AND MY FEELING. IF I HAD TO LEAVE YOU FOR GOOD THEN I WOULDN'T BE HERE." he yelled making her lips quiver and her head hung as a small whimper escape her lips.

"Look at me" he said, his eyes softening at her teary eyes. She shook her head and ducked it down.

"I said look at me" he said in a Stern voice cupping her face and pulling it up to meet her red streaked eyes.

"I wouldn't leave you. I can't even if someone forces me to. You're the only woman I want to stay with, to live with, and don't tell anyone to fear. I can't even dare to leave the Huda Osmani. Do I look like someone who doesn't cherish his life?" He said tickling her side making her smile for a second.

"I wouldn't leave you even if you tell me to. Not now, not ever." He said kissing her forehead. His lips lingering there as they felt at home. Her eyes closed as a smile soon spread on her quivering lips.

"Please don't ever leave me. I won't take it well if you do now." She whispered in a broken voice making him open his eyes and look into hers.

"I won't. I promise"

"Pinky promise?" She said forwarding her pinky finger.

"Yes pinky promise" he chuckled showering her face with kisses making her blush deep red.

"What are you doing?" Huda yelped at the sudden movement of being pulled up in his arms.

"You need to take a shower. You're stinking" he said scrunching his nose making her hit him but wince at the pain.

"You weren't expecting me to smell like roses after all that drama now we're you?" she narrowed her eyes at him puffing her cheeks.

"There we are back again with the sarcasm" he said setting her down on the counter. She brushed her teeth while he grabbed the first aid kit and began to clean her hand.

"This will sting. You should know better that it does" he said pressing tht cotton ball on her hand but she just kept staring at him.

"Well. You're one good sport didn't make any noise unlike last night" he said kissing her bandaged palm. She blushed as a small smile softly bloomed on her face, her brows eased as she cupped his face caressing it slowly.

"How do you still remember everything?" He asked making her chuckle.

"At first I thought I was a dream but when the reality marks you and your bed you need to get back in your sense" she whispered ever so softly that he almost missed it.

"Should I take the hint that you have such dreams about me?" He smirked making her punch his shoulder.

"You wish, this one time you got lucky, although I do remember the part clearly where you asked me to trust you." She said cupping his face pulling it close.

"So do you?" He asked turning his face and kissing her palm.

"If I didn't you wouldn't be standing here so calmly" she said running her fingers through his hair.

"Did anyone told you how gorgeous you look all the damn time? Especially when you're all cocky like this?" He asked nuzzling his face in her neck. His stubble tickling her making a giggle escape her chapped lips. He smiled against her shoulder blade peppering it with butterfly kisses.

"Aren't you simping alittle too much now?" She asked raising an eyebrow at him.

He pulled away and made his way to the giant sea shell shaped bathtub that sat proudly in tht middle of her dark themed bathroom. On one said was the shower stall on the other was the sink, the large sea shell sat in tht middle of the spacious bathroom.

Aaban smiled while running her a bath. Filling the tub with warm water and tossing I'm a bath bomb he turned to her placing both of his hands on each side of her.

"You're worth it all" she whispered against the shell of her ear biting it softly.

"I know" she smirked eyeing him as he pulled away.

"Ohh really?" His lips stretched into a cocky smirk while his fingers expertly undid the knots of her robe.

Her arms wounded around his neck as he pulled her close standing in between her legs pushing them open.

She hummed in response joining their lips together and wrapping her legs around his torso pulling his close. Her fingers bunching up his simple grey tshirt pulling it over his head.

His hands explored every inch of her skin as he pushed the robe off of her. The remaining of his cloths were off as he joined her in the in tub. Her front against his and their lips conjoined, he explored the heaven of her mouth tasting the minty residue of the toothpaste.

She pulled away breathing heavily, their foreheads joined together. They kept gazing into eachother's eyes feeling euphoria surround them.

"I'll shampoo your hair" he said grabbing the shampoo bottle. Wetting her hair from tht shower head he  took some in his hand and started massaging it through her hair.

"I would've done the same but I can't get my hands wet" she pouted showing him her hands.

"You've done it to yourself. Who told you to act on impulse?" He said narrowing his eyes at her.

"You were the one who wasn't picking up his phone, who left without a note and where are all your clothes?" She said glaring at him.

"Oh about that my phone died last night because of the rain, second I wanted to surprise you with your favourite donuts and third I shifted all my belongings to your room" he said picking up a lofa and lathering it up with some body wash.

"You intruded my closet?" She asked in a high pitched voice making him look at her amused.

"Yes. And I also found a very erotic lingerie section there." She gaped at him feeling warmth spread on her face. His hands worked wonders on her as they massaged her body free of all knots and nerves.

"Is the Huda Osmani shy?" He exaggerated pulling her face up making her even more red. He smirked at her coy state.

Draining out the water he stepped out of tht tub. His smirked only deepened at her red face and wide eyes as she stared at him.

"I know I'm God's finest creation but no need to gawk at me like that," he said wrapping a towel around his waist.

"Who said I need to gawk at you? It's a choice and I can also change my mind if you want, there will be better specimen out there to gawk at" she shrugged standing up and washing off all tht remaining soap from her. She dried herself off and wrapped a towel around herself before she was pulled into a hard chest.

"You're not allowed to look at any other man except for me. Understood. Otherwise I don't mind repeating history from last night" he gritted deadly into her ear making her smirk at his statement.

"Same goes for you or I won't mind repeating history from the past few months" she said shrugging.

"My donuts await me hopefully if they're still good" she said before he could answer and freed herself from his shackles.

She walked out winking at him, leaving him gawking at her retreating back.

He joined her in the kitchen after wearing a pair sweat pants. He found her sitting on the stool munching on the donuts wearing his sweatshirt.

"You're not even going to offer me one. I got them for you" he said leaning on her from the back placing his hands on the counter. Huda leaned back into him turning her head to the right.

She shook her head, her nose grazing his jaw.

"This is the compensation of my tears" she mumbled with her eyes close.

He hummed in response pulling back making her open her eyes to be greeted by the sight of him eating the heart shaped donut glazed with white cream.

"Aaban" she gasped getting off the stool ready to retrieve her donut.

"What?" He asked innocently, his face stuffed with the soft bread.

"That's mine"

"So am I" he said backing up as she stalked towards him.

"Get back here" she yelled running after him.

He ran around the sofas, and coffee table with her in his toe. He threw cushions at her which she dodged but the last one hit her square in the face making her loose sight of him.

She jumped as she felt two arms lock her in between them. She turned around coming face to face with his grinning self. She narrowed her eyes at him while he pushed the last bit of that donut in her mouth.

"You're cleaning the room and the mesa you've made in the living room by throwing all the cushions around." She said making him frown.

Time and sun slipped from tht clutches of human hand as the full shining sun descended into the Bosphorus, the two forgot who they were for the span of time, dwelled in a subtle arguments and movie marathons they felt the exhaustion of the day take over them as they closed their eyes on the hostile world and slipped into their own world of tranquility in eachother's arms. The stars finally went in hiding heaving a sigh of relief. Wishing the best for them........
