B&W 3.

"kia aap waqai mujhe is room me nahi denge?" She asked stepping inside the room after a total of three days, eye casted down. She didn't bother him for days to let him cool down and then to discuss what had been happening between them.
(Will you really not let me stay in this room)

"Wafa mujhse behs mat Karo. Me tumhe yeh pyaar se samjha raho tumhara alag room me rehna hi behtar hai" she looked up and her breath hitched. The sight of a shirtless Buraak made her eye wide and not a second later she was looking back down with burning cheeks.

Ohh Allah.

"Lekin..." She started again toying with heer dupatta trying not to think of what she had gotten a glimpse of.
(But...)

"Wafa..." He prolonged with a tired sigh making her look up and away just as quickly.

"Theek hai. Bus itna Bata Dena kion?" She asked now looking into his deep eyes.
(Alright. Just tell me why?)

"Mujhe nahi pasand kisi ke saath apna room share karna. Aur phir tumhi ne kaha tha ke agar mujhe koi baat achi na lage tu tumhe befikar hoke Bata do." He said holding her shoulder making her coy in his embrace. She tried not to let her eyes move not down nor to the side. Her best option. His eyes.
(I don't like sharing my room with anyone. Besides you told to inform you first hand if I don't like anything)

"Aapko Meri koi baat buri lagi hai?" She asked in a mere whisper like tone, feeling anxious as to what she could've done wrong this time.
(Did you not like something that I must've done?)

"Wafa tum bagair sawal kiye meri koi baat nahi maan sakti?" He asked letting go of her, frustration dripping from his words.
(Wafa can't you obey me once without asking so many questions?)

"But mujhe akele dar lagta hai" she said not wanting to meet his blank gaze.
(But I get scared when alone)

"Tumhe andhere se dar lagta hai, tumhe akele rehne see dar lagta hai. Aisa kia hai Wafa jisse tumhe dar nahi lagta? Bolo? Kal ko tum kaho go tumhe mujhse bhi darlagta hai phir? " His laughed making her flinch back from his hold.
(You're scared of the dark. You're scared of being alone. What is there that you're not afraid of Wafa? Oke day you'll say you're even scared of me then what?)

"Aapi Mera mazak ura rahe hain" she said, her voice breaking with a series of sniffles resounding in his room.
(You're making fun of me)

"Zaroorat hai kia mujhe? Nahi tum Bata do kia mere saans lene see bhi tumhe dar lagta hai?" He mocked making tears of humiliation slide down her cheeks.
(Do I even have to? No just tell me if me breathing also scares you?)

She ran out of the room- wiping her cheeks with the end of sleeve- down the hall into the room he had gotten fixed for her.

She closed the door blindly and slid against it. Her head on her knees as all the mocking that she has ever endured in her life for how she was toppled over her.

Her cried turned into hiccups from tht ringing voices of her classmates and cousins laughing at her. Now even Buraak saw her as an idiot. She looked up from her lap and couldn't see anything around her.

Her breath hitched feeling something cold fan the shell of her ear. Her heart rate increased making her tears cease a little. She didn't dare look beside her but instead her eyes registered the dark of the room.

"You came back koi fish" a voice slurred in her ear making her eyes wide.

"No" a shaky breath left her lips and eye kept stuck on the empty spot infront of her.

"When everyone leaves you I'll be the only one who'll stay around koi fish" the cold steely voice seethed. Fingers grazed the fabric of her sleeve making her jolt away from the burning touch.

"No.. no one will leave me. I'm... I'm not alone" she said but inside she could feel his words creeping in. It was happening. It was happening again.

"Alone you were. Alone you are and alone you'll always be. Alone and helpless that's what you are Wafa"

Tears clouded her vision as she tried struggling against the chocking hold she felt around her. Her limbs felt restrained and lips sewed together. She felt as though molten lava was being poured all over her form burning her.

"Buraak!" She tried yelling her voice came out as a shallow breath. She clutched her eyes shut, praying for it all to go away.

"He won't come. No one will save Wafa. Wafa will not be saved" she shook her head trying to fight whatever that it was.

"Aapi!" She fumbled over her words but she felt them mixing together.

"No one can save you from me. No one" long slender arms squeezed her body so tightly she felt as though her ribs would get entwined together and every bone in he body will shatter.

Broken visions of her childhood flashed against her drooping eyelids making her shake her head and cry fighting against an unknown restraint. She stood up with the support of the door feeling her limbs heavier than normally possibly.

"No I won't" she breathed feeling the drumming of her heart in her ears. Her shaking hand tried locating the switch board on the wall but it kept slipping from it.

"You'll have to slump to the darkness Wafa. You'll have to" she cried shaking her head and screamed. Her clutched her ears not wanting to hear a single thing that it said to her.

Buraak hurried down the hallway and reached the door to her room. He pushed it open and found the room pitch black. He found her sitting in tht middle of the room bent into a ball screaming while covering her ears.

"Wafa!" He yelled running to her. He held her shaking figure in his arms feeling restless seeing her in an even worse condition than he had ever before.

"Wafa aankhein kholo. Kia hogaya hai?" He asked patting her cheek but she kept shaking her head muttering a serious of no.
(Wafa open your eyes. What has happened?)

"Buraak woh... Woh yahan tak agaya hai" she cried hiding her face in his chest making him hold her tightly.
(Buraak he.. he's come here also)

"Kon? Kon agaya?" He asked trying to prey her away from his chest.
(Who's? Who's here?)

"Woh mujhe kabhi nahi chore ga. Apne saath le jaaye ga. Mujhe uske saath nahi Jana Buraak" she cried clutching him for dear life.
(He won't ever leave me. He'll take me with him. I don't want to go with him Buraak)

"Nahi le jaaraha koi tumhe. Wafa idhar dekho" he said pulling her back and cupping her face.
(No one's taking you away. Wafa look at me)

"Koi tumhe kaheen nahi le jaaraha. Mere hote hue koi kaheen nahi jaasakta hai" he said looking into her deep brown eyes. Dark and velvety.
(No one can take you away. Till the time I am here no one can take you)

"Promise? Agar woh—" she asked raising a shaking hand.
(If he—)

"Promise. Koi nahi araha yahan" he said making her look down, holding his hand taking deep breaths.
(No one's coming here)

He stared at her feeling scared and angry at the same time. He didn't let his anger spill and helped her up to sit on the bed. He handed her a glass of water to drink which she gulped down with battered breaths.

He left the room making her frown. She looked down at her lap ashamed of her loosing control over herself and acting like a freak. But she knows he's there in any corner, waiting for a moment to strike and take over her.

Hours passed with her sitting stiffly on the bed staring  on tht ground. She got up feeling guilty of making him worried. She mastered up the courage and walked towards his room. Her steps halted as the door opened and he stepped out ready in a white sweater and dark blue jeans.

"Tumhe kuch kaam hai?" He asked running a hand through his messy hair. He spared her a glance and started walking downstairs feeling her walk behind him.
(You want something?)

"Haan woh..." She stuttered slowly walking behind him.
(Yes...)

"Jaldi Wafa." He said turning around to face her when they reached the end of the staircase.
(Hurry Wafa)

"Sorry. Me aapko pareshan karti rehti hi." She said looking at her feet. She didn't have it in her to face him after that embarrassing episode of her meltdown.
(Sorry. I always trouble you.)

"Kamre me rehne nahi Diya tu tumne Socha aise hi Sahi. Haina?" He said making her shake her head violently looking up in his eyes to justify herself.
(When I didn't let you stay in the room so you thought why not try this way. Right?)

"Nahi. Mere bas me nahi hai Buraak. Woh.. woh Sach me yahan agaya hai. me jhoot nahi bolti" she said hurriedly gazing into his dark eyes.

"Haan bilkul." He mocked rolling his eyes. He shook his head and walked towards the main door.
(Yeah sure)

"Aap Kahin jaarahe hain?" She asked making him sigh in irritation.
(Are you going somewhere?)

"Haan. Ab iss pe bhi koi issue hai tumhe" he said looking at her from the corner of his eyes.
(Yes. Now you have a problem with that also?)

"Nahi woh bus... Dehan see jaaye ga aur khair se aayega. Khuda Hafiz" she muttered waving her hand sending him off. He stared at her for a minute too long and left. Her heart slumped  in her chest.
(Nothing just... Go and comeback carefully. Good bye)

"I always trouble people and push them away. Maybe he doesn't want me crying every night beside him." He frowned and went in the living room.

She picked up her phone and scrolled down in her call log. Finding tht contact she dialled the number at once. The phone rang a few times before the person picked up.

"Hello Wafa how are you?"

"I'm fine. Doctor Zarish. I..when can I come in for a session?" She asked feeling her heart race. Her hand went up to toy with the dainty pendant hanging around her neck.

"Is everything okay Wafa?" The female asked worriedly.

"No. I... It's happening again doctor Zarish. It's even getting worse" she chocked the words out feeling the blood flow in her body slow down a little.

"It's okay don't panic alright. You can come in on Saturday, I'll book an appointment for you. We'll talk this through don't let it get to you. I repeat if you don't let him over power you you won't fail."

"O.. Okay. I'll try. I'll tell you everything on Saturday then?"

"Yes. You know you can tell me everything"

"Right. Sorry I called this late. I just.."

"Its okay Wafa and firstly stop apologizing for everything. It's good that you want to share it with someone okay. Stop apologizing for the smallest of things. Don't care that much"

"Right. Okay goodnight"

"Good night Wafa"

She slumped back in the couch feeling exhausted. Her eyes dropped and sleep clouded her senses. She shivered time to time feeling a rush of cold around her but she let herself drown in exhaustion and not care about it.

Buraak stopped dead in his tracks hearing her conversation. He stared at her back as she spoke to the doctor. Making a mental note to check about this doctor he left before letting her notice his presence.

Doctor Zarish.
