Happy reading...

After an hour of driving, Akash parked his car in the middle of a lonely road. Arti was taken aback. This 'Akash' was already scaring her to the core and now he had stopped the car in the middle of the road. There was no one she could see or ask for help! She wanted to know why did he stop the car so abruptly in the middle of the road. He was quiet all the time during the drive and silence was biting her. The fear in her was increasing with each passing second. He was the most unpredictable man she had ever met and his actions made her so unsure of him that she had started regretting her decision of marrying him. He had changed for sure or might be he had been pretending all this while. He was not the same man whom she knew before their marriage. He seemed much more vulnerable and dangerous to her. He had a constant smirk hanging on his face, which kept on telling her that he wasn't a man she wanted in her life. He was a puzzle in himself whom she had to solve. He would change his colors anytime for his will and can go to any extent to fulfill his wishes. She concluded in her mind that he was selfish and she had to make some plan to escape out of his den!

He removed his seat belt and looked at her with his dark eyes and she skipped a beat. That look and that never ending smirk made feel that she was trapped in his web! She gulped and pressed her lips inside. He was happy indeed and she very well knew the reason – he broken his grandfather's ego. Her throat went dry and she was waiting for him to speak.

"Thank you so much, Arti!" he said in his husky voice breaking the silence around, "You have no idea what you have done for me. " he said smiling looking at her. She wanted to say so much, wanted to ask so much but her lips were trembling.

" Sahab, you...you... did all this to take revenge from Bade SahabJi? " She finally managed to ask in her low voice.

"Of course! You are an intelligent girl, I must say," he replied proudly.

She gulped again. This man was really dangerous – a man who could go beyond every limit to take revenge from his own grandfather, could anytime harm her too. She had the idea about the power he held and he could anytime manipulate the agreement as well.

His smile disappeared when he saw her face. She was on a verge of crying, her eyes were already moist and her breath was heavy. He realized that she was actually scared of him and he had again gained the image of a devil in her eyes. His intentions were never to scare her or harm her. He could feel that she was completely misunderstanding him and her eyes were filled with disgust for him, which he indeed didn't like at all.

"Arti, look, I am saying this again, I am not going to harm you in any manner. You have helped me a lot in my bad times. Don't be scared of me, you will be safe with me. And see, we have a legal agreement too, why are you so scared then? You are legally protected in that, you have read it all, didn't you?"

She nodded without leaving those expressions. She wanted to trust him but...

"Now can you please remove this Vermilion and garland from you? I don't want to tell anyone there at my home that we are in any relation and don't tell anyone there that you are married. " he asked.

She nodded and did what he said. By that time, she became numb to ask anything further. She wanted to know the reason why he didn't want to tell everyone that she was his wife? Why he didn't want to tell anyone that she was married? What was going inside his mind? She looked down and wiped her tears with her tiny fist.

He smiled as he really found her cute and drove his car to his house. In next few minutes, he halted his car again and she scowled again.

"Arti, I am sorry but you have to get down here only and walk inside alone. Can you see that black huge gate? That is my house. Sorry, but I cannot risk my image by entering inside with you. I hope you understand." he said with a smile. So, his image would get spoiled if he would enter inside with her. Wow! She was indeed hurt but she couldn't show her dismay to him. She quietly came out of the car and looked at the huge mansion at the centre of the lane. The walls were huge, painted with white. As she walked forward, her gaze fell on the guard who was standing straight to show his master, Akash, respect. Akash without even looking at her went straight inside the bungalow and she was coming slowly.

She was about to enter inside but the guard stopped her. He started interrogating her and she had no answer to him. She was quite traumatized after whatever happened in the last few hours. He was about to push her out when Akash shouted and signaled him to let her in. She looked behind at him who looked away and got himself engrossed in his mobile. She felt rejected. That was the time she needed his support and he wasn't there. She indeed got a great welcome in her new house after her wedding – insulted by her husband's guard. She gulped her sobs and entered inside. Her gaze fell on the big garden, swimming pool adjacent to the garden and a white building just in the middle of everything.

Akash looked at for the final time and entered inside the house. She saw him moving inside the building so she too started following him. She was slowly walking towards the main entrance of the house just then she heard someone calling her from behind.

"Hey, you! " a man nearly of 25 years old, tall, dark, wearing mustaches, in white driver suite was standing behind. She turned around and saw Madhur her childhood neighbor was standing there.

"Daagi! Is that you? What are you doing here? " Madhur asked in surprise.

She froze looking at another devil of her life. She had never imagined in her life that she would meet him again that too like this. She had never liked this man. He had tried all his luck to marry her and when he got to know about her scars he had literally humiliated her in front of the whole village and everyone got to know about those scars on her body. That day, her parents tried to kill themselves but didn't after she pleaded them. She hated this man more than anything. She was trying to control her anger as she didn't want to create any sort of scene in front of Akash. So, she looked down.

"Oh come on, Daagi, you still remember that? Just forget it, it was a past. You should have told me about your scars before. You and your family kept the things hidden from me and when I came to know I had all right to punish you all. You and your family deserved that humiliation! At least everyone got to see your real face. " he spoke shamelessly.

She couldn't take anymore. She looked up and shot back, "We kept the things hidden, really? First of all, I never wanted to get married to you, you only came after me and I will never marry a man like you! "she spoke in disgust.

"Haha haha! Daagi! What a joke! You tell me who will marry you? I wanted to get married to you because of your face which is beautiful, but you are ugly inside. No man will marry you after knowing your ugliness." His words appeared very harsh to her. She was into tears then. She knew whatever he was saying was true but it wasn't her fault. She was married now, but to her demise, she couldn't proudly flaunt her marriage to anyone. She was looking down sobbing silently holding her saree. She had had enough for that day. Things were getting out of her tolerance level. Madhur on the other hand, was scrutinizing her from top to bottom wearing a smirk on his face.

Akash inside his house was waiting for Arti to come inside. When she did not appear, he went out and saw Arti, who was looking down and she was sobbing. He moved forward and saw Madhur standing there. He didn't have any idea of the situation but was suspicious.

"What's going on there?" Akash shouted and came close. Madhur's smirk was replaced by fear when he heard Akash. He immediately got stiff and looked at Akash. Arti too became alert and wiped her tears immediately.

" Good morning, Sahab. "Madhur said bending down a little showing respect to Akash.

"Where the hell were you since Monday? You left without any intimation." Akash yelled at Madhur but his attention was on Arti.

" Sahab...my...my mother wasn't well. ", Madhur gave a false excuse.

"Hmm, fine! Next time intimate before you are leaving. ", Akash said.

"Of course, Sahab! " he nodded.

Akash turned around and started heading towards the entrance of the house completely ignoring Arti standing there. She was highly disappointed. She somewhere felt safe in his presence but he wasn't there and tears made their way again!

"Daagi, you didn't tell me what are you doing here?" Madhur asked again when he realized that Akash had left. She looked away. She was trying to suppress her sobs at that moment as was deeply hurt because Akash had left her with a random guy so easily. She was expecting him to stay or take her along with him to protect him but he didn't. It was his implied duty as a husband to protect her from all evils but HUSBAND! He wasn't her husband in reality. He was her husband just on papers. He had no such duty towards her. She mentally yelled at herself for thinking like that. She was battling between her mind and her heart and her heart was suppressing her mind which was getting out of her control.

" Daagi, I am asking you something? "Madhur asked again but this time he was louder than before which caught Akash's attention. He stopped and turned around. He saw Arti's discomfort with Madhur and most importantly, how does Madhur know her? He frowned and walked past Arti facing Madhur. Arti had no idea that he was standing behind her whereas Madhur was taken aback when he Akash again.

" How do you know her? " Akash enquired. She looked behind and found him standing past her but he wasn't looking at her. His eyes were just stuck at Madhur. She again looked in front and held her saree in nervousness.

"Sahab, you too know her? " Madhur counter questioned Akash which indeed didn't like by Akash.

" HOW DARE YOU QUESTION ME BACK? YOU ARE MY SERVANT, DON'T FORGET THAT! TELL ME HOW DO YOU KNOW HER?" Akash screamed. Arti shuddered in reflex. He then shifted his gaze to Arti who was looking at him with fearful eyes.

Before Madhur could answer anything, Akash interrupted, " Arti, you go inside." He ordered Arti as he knew she wasn't liking Madhur's presence.

She nodded and ran inside the house wiping her tears. After her leave, he looked at Madhur and gave him a look!

" Sahab, we are neighbors in our village. And and... " he paused.

" And what? " Akash asked.

"... and sahib, we were getting married but didn't, " finally Madhur replied, leaving Akash shocked!
