Fifteen: Beg For It
"Who are you?"
The question comes from the girl that strides out of Jason's room in full clothing. She has dark skin and long, brown hair. Very pretty.
"I'm Jason's sister," I say, using the lie he told that girl some nights ago. "Coffee?" I nudge the jug forward.
"Thanks. I'm Kalie by the way," she says as I hand her a cup. Maybe I feel sorry for her, because I know what's about to happen.
"Skye," I use my old name; the one I grew up with.
"Skye... that's pretty. I didn't know Jason had a sister."
Of course you didn't. Why would he tell you?
"Well, he doesn't really talk about his family."
Kalie scoffs, "Don't I know it. I've known him for a long time and he's said nothing of it."
What? "How long have you known him?" I ask lightly as I begin to make a bean salad for breakfast. I'm more interested in the question that I sound.
"I work in the bar down the street. He's been going there every few nights for a while now. Got to know him.... pretty well," she's smirking at the end of the sentence.
"How many times did you get to know him?" I ask. Kalie gives me a strange look for a moment. I know most 'sisters' don't ask this of their 'brothers'.
"This is the third time," she says casually. Are you fucking kidding me? He must like this girl...
"He must like you," I express.
"Maybe. I mean it's nothing serious... And I think we'll be stopping."
"Oh? Why is that?"
I begin chopping up some vegetables, noticing Kalie screwing up her face in deep thought. "He said another girl's name. Once during, the other in his sleep. Do you know someone named Venus?"
The knife slips and I end up slicing the skin above my nail on my index finger. "Shit," I whisper, grabbing a tissue and holding it against the cut.
"No," I lie, "I don't know anyone by that name."
"Hmm," Kalie says, frowning in thought. "There were rumours that he's dating the DA Venus Meadow.... You kind of look like her."
"I get that a lot," I smile.
When Jason's bedroom door opens I go back to fixing my salad. I keep my eyes down, not wanting to look at him. "You want a lift home?" He asks Kalie casually.
"No, my shift starts soon I'll just walk down to the bar. I'll see you later," Kalie replies. She turns towards the door, but looks at me. "It was lovely meeting you," she smiles.
"You too," I say sweetly. Then she leaves.
The silence left by her absence is painful and awkward. I continue to make my salad, eyes down. I don't even know if he's there or not.
Out of the corner of my eye I see him walk passed me, to the other bench. He begins making coffee (I think) just as I finish chopping the last of my salad.
I place it in a bowl and mix it together with two forks, before putting the dishes in the sink. "That looks awful," Jason comments when he ends up beside me to grab the sugar.
"Well it tastes good," I reply normally as I begin to wash the dishes.
After a moment of silence, Jason asks "Do you like her?"
I pretend to not know what he's talking about. "Who?" I ask lightly.
He frowns, "Kalie."
"Oh. She's sweet. Seems down to Earth," I say cheerfully. Judging by the look on his face, it was not the reaction he was hoping for. I then remember what Kalie had said. "She told me a few things about you. I am, after all your 'sister'."
"See, it's good cover," he smirks. I decide to act it out as I sit at the table with my salad.
"Well then, dearest brother. Your lady friend seems to think I look like District Attorney Meadow. That is, after she informed me that you said the name Venus in your sleep and during sex."
The smirk leaves his face immediately. I cannot help the smug expression that comes by me next, as I lean back into the seat and begin eating my salad.
"I would never do that," Jason says emotionlessly.
"Sure," I say, mirroring his tone.
I continue eating, before he suddenly stands on the other side of the table and slams his hands down, making me jump.
"I would never do that," he repeats.
"Then why did Kalie say you did?" I reply, standing up slowly.
I mirror his position of leaning over the table, hands atop of the wood. "She heard wrong," he growls, getting closer to my face. I laugh slyly.
"Yeah, because Kalie sounds a lot like Venus," I tease softly. The tension between us buildsas the rage in his eyes slowly dies and turns into something else.
His gaze goes from my eyes, to my lips and back again. I swear a second later and I'd be on top of him again, but there is a knock at the door.
I rocket back into my seat and Jason turns away. He takes a deep breath and runs a hand through his hair, before walking over to the door. When he opens it Ginger bursts through.
"Venny!" She squeals, running over and jumping on me. It literally knocks me of the chair, putting her on it instead.
"What the hell!?" I growl, kicking her in the thigh and making her fall on the other side.
"I've missed you!"
"Well I haven't missed you," I reply grumpily, hauling myself back up.
"Of course you have!" She looks over her shoulder at Jason and her boy toy, then back to me. "You guys sleep together again?"
"Will you stop?" I snap at her as Jason rolls his eyes.
"That means yes!" She squeals.
I ignore her and sit back down. She sits across from me. "So what's happening with the keys?" I ask Nightwing.
"Tomorrow night, we'll be arranging fingerprint recognition instead of the TIPA keys. They'll make for a more complicated access process," Nightwing begins.
"Great. That means they won't have to find an actual key. Instead, all they'll need to do is chop off our hands," I say, waving my fingers in the air.
"That reminds me of Derek Noceti's vault. You remember?" Gin asks. I frown and try to bring up a memory with that name.
"Derek Noceti...gang-banger accountant. He had a vault that contained records of all the cash deals ever set up by the several gangs he managed. The vault had fingerprint recognition."
"So you cut of his hand," my sister concludes.
"Actually, his whole arm," I reply, before remembering who was in the room.
Richard looks at me disapprovingly, however Jason looks slightly impressed. "He lived; I swear," I say with a small smirk. As if I'd let him live.
Gin's boy toy goes on explaining about setting a trap, to capture some of the Sons or some of the Brotherhood. He asks for something as bait.
"Can't you just use me for bait?" I ask.
"Are you crazy?" Jason cuts in.
"Aww you care!" Ginger coos. I scoff without looking up.
"As if," I say, but he says it at the same time. Oh my God.
"So cute," my sister whispers.
"Anyway," Richard pushes on. Thank you sir. "No doubt they'd be tracking movement."
"My credit card," I agree, seeing what he is getting at.
"Exactly. We'll use it- maybe have Batgirl in disguise or something."
I stand up and walk into my room where my bag is. I take out my purse and remove my credit card. When I walk back into the room I hand it to him.
"1312," I say, handing it to him. Why I suddenly trust him I have no idea. Maybe because my sister does. Maybe because he's a hero.
After a bit of chatter, my sister glomped my with a giggle. "I miss you Venny," she says, kissing me on the cheek. I roll my eyes and push her slightly.
"Yeah yeah, same to you," I say dismissively, but I still encircle her waist and hug her. She is, after all, my sister. Richard is out the door and Gin isn't close behind.
"Oh, by the way," she stops at the frame. Jason looks ready to slam the door on her. I too have a feeling she is about to say something stupid. "Kaiba called. He's worried because he hasn't heard from you."
My breathing halts slightly. Kaiba. The older brother of my ex-fiancée Hiroshi.
"I see," I reply, before Gin disappears. Kaiba... I'll have to give him a call later.
I take a seat back at the table as Jason makes his own food (now lunch). The awkward silence returned. Seeing as I now know that Jason says my name unwillingly, I feel smug.
Of course I know how he sounds when he's saying my name. And moaning my name. And shouting my name. There is something he usually says though...
"What are you smiling at?" Jason snaps irritably. I look at him and smirk, wanting to say something that would piss him off further. Instead I stand up, taking my dishes into the kitchen.
"So we're back to silence now, huh?"
"No," I reply lightly, filling the sink with water. "Just thinking about something you said."
"What?"
"Doesn't matter."
I place the dishes in the water, hearing him walk up behind me. He places his hands on the beach, one on each side of me. I can feel his breath against the back of my neck.
Slowly, a plan begins to form in my mind.
"Something I said?" He whispers softly. Yes...Yes, this could work in my favour.
I turn around, leaning my back against the counter, face to face with him. "You call me Ven, that's all. I don't know why no one's used it until now. I mean I get Venny, Nessy, Pumpkin, Bitch..."
He laughs slightly at the last one.
"How about Beautiful?" He murmurs, hands sliding to my waist. It was my turn to laugh.
"Someone's not his usual asshole self today," I say. His grip firms.
"Maybe I'm not," he says, coming closer.
"Really?"
"Really."
He's kissing me as my plan comes into play. I waste no time in deepening it, so he turns me around and lifts me up onto the counter top, gently pushing me down.
"Trying to break a record?" I ask as he moves to my neck. My hands slide down to his T-shirt, which I pull up. He stops for a second to get it off, before climbing on the bench above me.
"What do you mean?" He asks. Using my legs I push him to the side, switching positions so that now I straddle him.
He reaches over to pull my shirt up, but I grab his wrist and push them over his head, leaning down to brush my lips against his.
"Your bedroom. The couch. The shower. The floor..." I list, before looking around the kitchen. "The counter."
He grins slightly so I kiss him again, not releasing his hands. I shuffle slightly, nipping at his bottom lip before moving down to his neck.
Positioned right, I rotate my hips slightly, grinding into him and leaving a harsh bite at the same time. It has the exact effect I wanted; he hisses in pleasure and murmurs my name.
"Quit teasing," he gasps. I laugh, moving my hips again, drawing a moan for him. It nearly causes me to abandon my plan. I don't, however. I release his hands slightly.
"Keep 'em there Jay," I say, making him smile slightly. I undo his jean and tug them down slightly, before sitting up to gaze down at him.
It's understandable, that he gets a lot of girls. He's so invigorating to look at; especially from this angle. I begin moving my hips in a rhythm against him.
The sight of Jason Todd squirming in teased pleasure beneath me is better than I had imagined. He was pent up to the highest point I had seen, but my plan was not at an end.
"Teasing, am I?" I say softly, leaning forward to rest my hand on his chest. He gasps and moves his hands to grab me, but I catch them and put them back.
"Fuck...just...nnghh...you think this is-uhh....really funny huh?" He says. I grin and lean down to him.
"Hilarious," I whisper, before speeding up. I sink my teeth into his neck once more, nearly drawing blood. It makes him cry out.
"C'mon no more teasing Ven," he says urgently, sounding vulnerable.
"Are you begging?" I laugh softly, sitting back up and moving harder.
"C'mon...please? Let me...fuck...Let me move!"
I stop entirely and kiss him softly, before standing up. He looks shocked as I smile innocently.
"Not so nice, is it?" I say, before walking away, leaving him hot, hard and wanting more. More that he's going to have to beg for when he's ready to not be an asshole.
