(Sirius's view)

I woke the next morning to find Regulus on the couch with Luci next to him looking out the window at the pouring rain.

"Good morning," I greeted, as I sat down next to them on the couch when suddenly there was a loud knock at the door.

"Who could it be?" I wondered as I got up from the couch and made my way over to the door.

I opened it to find Remus on the doorstep with tears in his eyes.

"Remus, what are you doing here?" I asked, as I opened the door wider to let him in.

"They're dead," he whispered softly and my eyes widened in horror when I realized who he meant.

"No!" I exclaimed, as I fell to my knees with a sob. "Is Harry alright?" I asked, and Remus nodded as he rubbed my back.

"He's fine, he is with his only living relatives who are taking care of him." he said, which made me breathe a sigh of relief before turning to see that Regulus and Luci had come over to see what was wrong.

"James and Lily are dead." I told Regulus who covered his mouth in shock.

"How?!" he asked, as he allowed a few tears to fall.

"You know who killed them." I said, as I squatted down in front of Luci who put her little hand on my face.

"Auntie?" she asked, and I felt my heart break for her.

"Auntie and uncle are asleep baby." I told her and her face fell.

"when wake up?" she asked sadly and I put my hand over hers.

"Not for a while baby." I told her, as I kissed her on the forehead gently.
