Resolving A Conspiracy Part 1

(Some time later)

Just as Undyne was getting ready to leave for her rounds, Sans walked in and throw her a set of papers. Undyne: "What's this?" Sans: "In light of you attacking A CHILD in the middle of the damn street! You are here by relieved of duty until farther notice!" Undyne: "WHAT?! You can't be serious! What was I supposed to do let the brat say all those lies?!" Sans: "OBVIOUSLY YOU DON'T GET IT! The f**king CAPTAIN of the royal guard attacked and INJURED A CHILD IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE TOWN OF SNOWDIN!! Do you have any idea how that's going to make the entirety of the Royal Guard look?!" Undyne: "HEY, WE BOTH KNOW THAT KID WASN'T NORMAL!!" Sans: "It doesn't F**KING matter Undyne you attacked a CHILD in broad day light, and in the middle of one of the main towns of the underground! Look, those are official papers stamped by the king himself, you're on very thin ice here Undyne. After you get checked out by one of the doctors go home, and stay there! You are NOT to report for duty until all this blows over, understand?" Undyne looked the papers over, growling loudly saying she understood before Sans left.

As Sans worked to mend the situation, in the cemetery Frisk and Dee were thinking of what to do next. Frisk: "I feel bad for Undyne, she's going to get in trouble for what she did, isn't she?" Dee: "Exactly why I egged her on so hard. She's one of the strongest in the underground, without her guarding the king we can easily slip in and heal him. And... you'll be the one to do it." Frisk: "What me? Why?!" Dee: "Simple, if a human is the one to heal the king, then they'll be forced to see not all humans are evil or bad. Though honestly I'm not sure about that myself." Frisk: "Did humans hurt you?" Dee: "More then you could ever imagine... but now's not the time for that. We need to get you to a safe place. ...Damn it, there's only one place we can..."

Before they could finalize their plans, Sans and a few sentries walked into the Cemetery tripping one of Dee's alarms. Quickly turning themselves invisible Dee hushed Frisk as they came closer. Sans: "This is the only place they could be after their big show in town. Fan out and search but by careful, if their really hiding the human then we could have two enemies in waiting." Dee: "Damn it, they found us too fast." Frisk: "Dee? Why Can I hear you in my head? " Dee: "I am so beginning to love this cloak more, and more. We must be connected through the cloak like an Internet connection, or some private server. Okay! Stay quiet, and try to hide, I'll lead them away, and don't worry, I'll be fine" Frisk nodded and slipped out to hide, as Dee zipped up into a tree before reviling themselves. Dee: "You found me faster then I thought you would!" Sans: "Deductive reasoning kid, it's close to Snowdin, yet no one comes here. And no one saw you go towards anywhere else." Dee: "Bet all those cameras Alphys set up helped too. You didn't catch me on any around the Underground so you searched the areas where the cameras weren't first. Am I right?"

Sans flinched a little but said nothing, even with the mask on he knew the kid was grinning ear to ear. Dee: "Seems like I'm spot on, though I am shocked to see you come in on foot." Sans: "Wha'cha mean kid?" Dee: "Surely you would have thought I'd set up traps and puzzles. So why walk in? Why not use a short cut to teleport in?" Sans: "What are you talking about? There's no monster that can teleport." Dee burst out laughing falling from their platform, only to stop 20 feet from the ground using wires. Dee: "Wow, you're serious? I guess mom and dad didn't get to teach you about your powers huh? Skeletons can learn to teleport, as well as other things." Sans: "Y-you're lying, there's no way..." Before Sans could finish Dee teleported to the hidden Frisk. Secretly grabbing her, they then used their one and only shortcut hoping it would work.

In a flash the two of them found themselves in the ruins. Frisk: "The ruins? Why are we here?" Dee: "Cause it was the only shortcut I have... and we needed to get you to a place the others can't get to." Frisk: "But..." Dee: "Yea, yea, Toriel said don't come back blah, blah. Doesn't matter right now. HEY FLOWEY... GET YOUR LITERAL PANSY ASS OUT HERE!" Dee's statement made Frisk laugh out loud nearly to the point she fell over. Grumbling loudly Flowey popped up and glared at Dee heavily. Flowey: "G'AHH! Listen here you smiley trash bag!! I AM NOT A PANSY! I AM A.... oh never mind. So who are you anyway?" Dee: "W.D. Caster, at your service." Flowey: "Fine, what do you want Caster?" Dee: "I want to make you a deal."

Meanwhile Sans was amazed at the realization that was shortcuts. Rushing back to the lab, he started to look through any illustrations involving skeletons and magic. Sans: "If that kid can do it, so can I." For the next day or so Sans rifled through files, books, scrolls, anything to lead him to the answer that was shortcuts. Sans: "Hmm, why didn't anyone tell me about this before? I guess it makes sense though, I didn't get a chance to learn magic from Mom or Gaster. It's understandable I'd be missing information about my powers. Okay lets try this." Looking around Sans set his sights on across the room. Concentrating he took a deep breath and... nothing. Sans: "Okay... that kid made it look so easy too. Guess they've been teleporting all over the Underground after all, makes sense they can do it so easy. Okay I just need to imagine myself jumping from one place to the next, right?" Taking another breath, Sans pictured himself jumping from the spot he was in, to across the room. As he did so Alphys opened the door to enter, only to get a teleporting skeleton to the face with a comedic thud. Alphys: "W-whoa! S-sans what are you d-doing." Getting up quickly Sans apologized and explained what was going on. To which Alphys started laughing. Alphys: "I h-have to say Sans, that's you b-best joke yet. Teleporting, how c-comical." Sans: "Oh really? Okay then, how's about a bet? If I can teleport to say... the door to the ruins, you have to pay my tab at Grillby's." Alphys: "Okay, but w-when you lose I want a raise." After thinking for a moment they both said "Deal" and shook hands.

Sans: "Okay then, it's official just don't say I didn't warn ya." Alphys looked rather smugly as Sans closed his eyes and pictured the Door to the Ruins. Remembering the feeling from his first jump, Sans concentrated and with a whoosh was gone right before Alphys's eyes. Alphys: "W-W-WHAT!!! NO WAY!!" Quickly running to the monitors Alphys flipped to the camera at the door to the Ruins. Only to see a jumping, laughing, and gloating Sans on the screen. After a bit, Sans finally made it back to the lab after taking Shortcuts all over the Underground. Sans: "Looks like Grillby's going to be happy, heh, heh, heh, and so am I." Alphys: "T-this is unprecedented, I've never heard about this before." Sans: "Yea me either, I only learned about it from that Skele-kid that made Undyne look bad in front of all of Snowdin." Alphys: "D-do you kn-know what this means?!" Sans: "Sure do, I'll never be late for work again." Alphys: "No s-silly, it means there could be tons of forgotten p-powers from a lot of monster races. W-we could rediscover so many things!"

As Alphys and Sans began there work to uncover lost magic, at Undyne's her depression and boredom was about to be interrupted. As she sat there her head in her hands, she was shocked by a sudden knock at the door. Opening it up she was greeted by Papyrus. Undyne: "Oh, hey Paps, what's up." Papyrus: "Well I don't have patrol for another hour, so I wanted to come see how you were doing." Undyne: "Oh, t-thanks, that all you wanted?" Papyrus: "Well yes, I... I, I-i.... Well no actually. I wanted to ask you, to scold you really. How could you attack a child like that?" Undyne flinched a bit seeing Papyrus's reaction. Undyne: "I... I don't know. I just couldn't let that brat talk about the Royal Guard like that." Papyrus: "I get that you felt attacked, but hurting a child, and in front of everyone like that. I makes me wonder if want they were saying wasn't the truth." Undyne: "H-how could you think that Pap?" Papyrus: "It's just, that... look I know you all think I'm an idiot. That you can hide everything from me. But I'm not, I've seen what that kid was talking about the corruption, the scandals, the guard turning away from or attacking monster for personal gain. What's worse I've seen you ignore all of it." Undyne was speechless, she stood there in the door frame her hand over her month. It seemed like she was fighting back tears, tears of anger, sadness, frustration, of self loathing. Papyrus ever the good friend noticed straight away and pulled her into a tight hug. In an instant all her fears, sadness, and self hate flooded out in strong waves of tears. These tears fell like rain for the next ten minutes, by the time Undyne was calm enough to talk Papyrus was supposed to go on patrol. Instead though he sat with his friend as they simply talked.

Flowey: "Golly, you two seem like you're close. Hey Papyrus." Papyrus: "Oh, hello Flowey, how are you today." Undyne: "Is that a talking flower?" Flowey: "Howdy I'm Flowey, Flowey the Flower, and you're Undyne head of the royal guard. Though you may not be for long thanks to that Dee huh? I thought it was strange when I saw Sans running out to the king's at 3 in the morning. It was even worse to hear the King yelling over the phone while Sans ran though the Underground." Undyne groaned and grabbed her head again. Papyrus: "So why are you here Flowey? I'm sure it's not just to warn Undyne about the King's phone call to my brother." Flowey: "You're right about that, that kid, Dee they've dug up some juicy information. They think someone on the council or someone close to em maybe poisoning the King." Undyne: "WHAT?!" Flowey: "Hey, keep it down, never know who's listening. Look we don't have proof... yet, but we're close. That's why I'm here, they hired me to help search around for information. Seeing as I can go almost anywhere I want, I'm the best choice to hunt down whomever maybe doing it." Undyne: "Okay, then what?" Flowey: "Then, we get into the castle and heal the king. That Dee they're not from around here, heck they aren't even from this universe. That said, they have a lot to lose if ole' fluffy buns kicks the bucket. Plus they've got some pretty weird powers and skills, long as we figure out what the poison is, we can make an antidote." Undyne: "That's good and all, but how are we going to figure out who it is?" Flowey: "WE aren't, I am, you're on leave, you can't just walk in and out of the castle like before. But I can, I'll figure it out and Dee will handle the rest. That's the deal we made." Undyne: "And what do you get out of this deal?" Before Flowey even answered he left, leaving the two to wonder about this deal.

(Meanwhile back in the Ruins)

Dee: "Toriel be reasonable, this is the safest place in the Underground for them." Frisk: "...Their voice changed. They sound like a girl now or something. More so they sound... just like me. " Toriel: "... I understand that, but..." Dee: "Yea I get it, it's painful, boo hoo. Get over it! ...Look I'm not trying to be mean here, but you're feelings don't matter in this situation at all." Frisk and Toriel both gasped a bit loudly at Dee's statement. Frisk: "How can you say that?" Dee: "Because it's true, Right now someone is poisoning and manipulating Asgore. Her feelings right now, don't mean much in the grand scheme of things. As they stand right now, what matters is getting to the bottom of this, healing Asgore, and putting an end to this damn false war. Trust me I'll feel horrible about this, when everything is said and done and I'll probably apologize several times over for it. But right now, it's just not the time." After Dee's rant Toriel apologized for her actions and promised to watch over Frisk as Dee did their part of the plan. With a bow Dee thanked her and teleported away. As they vanished, a few tears were left behind in their place, falling to the ground where they stood. Frisk: "... They were... crying... that hold time weren't they?" Toriel: "This must be so hard for them. They to are also a child after all."

As Dee started their mission, they met up with Flowey and handed them the item they talked about before. A small crown made from Dee's cloak, Flowey was now connected to Dee's mental communication system as long as he had it equipped. Flowey: "This thing looks stupid, you couldn't have made it look cooler?" Dee: "It was a rush job, sorry. Now lets go." Flowey: "What happened to your voice?" Dee: "Let's... go!" With that Dee turned invisible once more and headed towards Dreemurr castle, followed by Flowey. As this was going on Papyrus had gotten a hold of Sans saying they needed to talk somewhere privately.

(In the cemetery)

Sans: "WHAT?!?! Are you sure this is credible?" Papyrus: "Unfortunately it is, what do we do Brother?" Sans: "Ain't nothing we can do about it at the moment bro. Just we need to trust in that kid." Papyrus: "I feel bad, having to let children bare this burden instead of an adult like one of us." Sans: "Yea, I get what you mean Bro, it seems so unfair." Meanwhile, Dee was already sneaking past the royal guards and into Dreemurr Castle. Dee: "This really was to easy, you were right Flowey." Flowey: "See I told you, It's no damn wonder Monsters lost the war. They're to damn honest and trusting." Restructuring his Cloak into a ninja suit gave Dee the ability to wall climb. Which they used to sneak into the Castles meeting rooms as well as private quarters. Flowey: "Man the kid was right, you really are too good at this. You've done this before huh? " Dee didn't answer they focused on their mission, like before...

As Dee took control of their end of the Mission, Flowey went to the Kings quarters to see if they could figure out what was poisoning the king. As Flowey popped up in the kings bedroom he was shocked to find no one guarding Asgore. What was more shocking was how easy he found out what the poison was. Flowey: "You have got to be kidding me. It's like this was made to be found out." As Flowey got what they needed from the king's room. Dee was busy sneaking around to find who, or who'all was poisoning the king. This part of the plan would be the hardest and most likely take days to complete.

(Meanwhile in the Anti-Void)

Error: "Hows Dee doing?" Ink: "Great, they're getting really close to home. I, just hope they can make it back safety." Error: "Should, we go to D-ScapeTale and wait, or would that be weird?" Ink: "... Wow, heh, heh, this is the first time you've wanted to leave the Anti-Void without destroying something." Error: "G'ah! Well... they're our friend right? Plus..." Ink looked at Error with widened eyes before hugging him. Ink: "So you saw it too?" Error flinched lightly and hugged back before talking. Error: "If we don't do something, Dee could turn into a much more destructive force then every Error Sanses working in together with Nightmare and his gang. I have a feeling that we may see the limits of Dee's destructive powers soon." Ink: "Why do you say that? Dee is a nice boy/girl." Error: "U-h that may not be the best way to word their gender fluidity. But, I say that because of their unstable soul, it is way to powerful for their form. All that magic will try to escape and could end up hurting the kid... a lot. If that were to happen, doesn't matter how nice they are the pain will make them lash out, drive em insane." Ink: "So you noticed that too? It's fine I thought of a way to help em out. Though you're right we should probably go to D-ScapeTale and wait for em. Just in case." With that the two of them left the Anti-Void to D-ScapeTale.

(D-ScapeTale)

Error: "So this is it huh? A bit more boring then I thought." Ink: "Really? I think it's really neat, look at all the white sparklies!" Error: "Yea, I guess just thought that... hmm..." Ink: "What's wrong?" Error: "Someone... or something is watching us." Ink: "What do you..." Sans: "Papyrus! Wait up! Just talk to me, okay?" Papyrus: "YOU DON'T GET IT BROTHER! What if I had... HAD.." Sans: "COME ON PAPS, y'know you need the intent to... Look everyone stressed out and you were half asleep at the time, this little accident is nothing." Papyrus: "LITTLE ACCIDENT?! I hit you Sans! I could have hurt you, killed you! DOESN'T THAT BOTHER YOU AT ALL?!" Sans: "NO IT DOESN'T!!! Cause... cause I know you'd never hurt me Paps." Ink: "Whoa wee! This is the first fight I've seen in a while! Hi, my name's Ink." Error: "INK DON'T JUST... u-h. Hi, ignore us please. Ink I told you, you can't jump into other people's conversations like that!" Ink: "Aah, why not Error?" Papyrus: "Um, brother why are there three of you?" Sans: "That's what I'd like to know."

(Meanwhile back with Dee)

It was a weird feeling, sneaking around in a castle. But it was a familiar feeling, thanks to The Church of The True Purity. A past Dee wanted to forget, yet here they were, using skills and tricks they learned from that Cult once more. The feeling of self disgust was horrible, even if they felt like eating they would probably puke it up instantly. It won't take long, it won't take long, Dee thought this over, and over again to keep from being totally sickened by their actions. This was just enough for them to keep going, that and the fact this wasn't an assassination mission. With Flowey's part of the mission done he had a lot of time to wait, and with his connection to Dee's mind now felt like a good time to dive into some memories. From one of Flowey's hiding places he took a good look at Dee's memories, most of which were recent. Hopping from one universe to another, facing challenges, making friends, boring Flowey thought to himself. It wasn't till he peered deeper that he found more then he bargained for. Like a twisted dream, the memories flowed into Flowey getting worse, and worse the deeper he looked.

Flowey: "Y'AHHH!" -pants- "What the hell are they?!" Flowey was left breathless at what he saw, now he understood though, the truest definition of the word Demon. wiping the sweat from his flowery forehead, Flowey was glad he didn't have very many emotions at the moment. Flowey: "Jeez, no wonder they don't talk abo.... WAIT! If I could look into... FRISK!" With that Flowey rushed off, in an uncharacteristic moment of emotion for someone else, they popped up next to Frisk. Flowey: "Howdy, hows it going. Still wearing that disguise I see. Don't you think it would be better to take it off?" Frisk: "Why, is there something wrong with it?" Flowey: "Well, it's not like you need it in the ruins. No one's going to attack you here, why not stretch your real legs for a bit." Frisk: "Um, Flowey?" Flowey: "Yes, friend?" Frisk: "You okay? You're sweating... like a lot." Flowey didn't respond to Frisk's question and just told em it would be better if they unequipped the disguise before leaving. Frisk sitting there was confused by Flowey's unusual behavior.

(Much Later)

???: "Hello there, my name is Ms.Pascal and this is Mr.Mann. We're here to... talk to you." Frisk: "Where am I? Who are these two? " ???: "Pascal, like the unit. Okay, what is there to talk about?" Frisk: "Was that my voice just now? " Ms.Pascal: "Well, we what to know how you're... adjusting ... to the change. It must be hard to adapt to such a different way of living. Especially for a child." Mr.Mann: "Tch, child." Ms.Pascal: "And what, pray-tell does that mean?" Mr.Mann: "You read the file, their not a child. Hell at this point calling it a monster or a demon, would just be insulting monsters and demons!" Ms.Pascal: "That's enough! Forgive my colleague please... So can you tell us your name?" Mr.Mann: "Name?! You read the damn reports! Those cultist bastards didn't give those things names, they gave it a number." Ms.Pascal: "Stop it!" ???: "He is not wrong, I am not a child, I am a weapon. I have no name but a designation and a number. Designation: Alpha, Beta, Omega, Number: Twelve." Ms.Pascal: "Honey that's.." Mr.Mann: "See even it knows they're not normal." Ms.Pascal: "HE'S STILL A CHILD DAMN IT!! He can learn, he can still learn! And stop calling him they or it!"  Mr.Mann: "They can't LEARN to be normal, not after everything those cultists did to them." 12: "Mr.Mann is not incorrect, from birth, we were made into weapons. Items to be used and disassembled once we were broken or useless. Assassinations, purifications, blood, death. this is what we were made for." Frisk: "Who... who is this? They seem so familiar." Ms.Pascal looked at Mr.Mann and took him into the adjoining room to talk. Ms.Pascal: "You're not helping here, can't you treat them like a normal child?" Mr.Mann: "They're not normal they're, like I said, like they said, they're a weapon. If anything we should just kill the kid now before they start slaughtering people." Ms.Pascal: "How dare you sa..." 12: "Normally self termination is prohibited, but as my operator is no more." As the turned around the clear click of a hand gun being cocked could be heard. 12: "Being dismantled wouldn't be so bad, maybe I could see my family again." Before anyone could think Ms.Pascal shouted out. Ms.Pascal: "Register! New Operator: June Pascal!" Looking at her 12 put the gun down and kicked it away. 12: "New Operator recognized Ms. June Pascal. Please input Orders." As the scene stopped to fade new ones came and went.

As they watched Frisk saw more and more scenes flash before her eye, most of which she couldn't believe. ???: "Fr....Fris... FRISK!" Suddenly Frisk find herself in Toriel's house, as she looked around she saw Toriel leaning over the bed with a worried look. Toriel: "Frisk, my child are you okay? You were crying and screaming in your sleep. Almost like you were experiencing something horrible." Thinking back Frisk couldn't remember everything but did remember the counseling session, and how it ended. Frisk: "I'm... fine, just a nightmare is all." Toriel: "Oh dear, it must have been a terrible one to make you scream like that." Frisk: "Yea, maybe, I don't really remember all of it, sorry if I worried you." Toriel hugged Frisk and patted her head before leaving the room telling her breakfast would be ready soon. As Frisk lay in bed she couldn't help but wonder who that person was. Flowey: "I told ya, you should have taken off that disguise." Frisk: "What do you mean?" Flowey: "Think about it, who's mind are we connected to? Who's memories could that have been besides one of us? And who here doesn't like talking about themselves?" Frisk: ".....All three of us?" Flowey: "Tch, don't get smart with me. Y'know exactly who I'm talking about." With that Flowey left, leaving Frisk with a few answers but many more questions.

Meanwhile Dee was waking up in the castle rafters. It had been about 2 days since the mission began, and they were able to piece somethings together already. Though one thing was missing, the mastermind behind the poisoning of Asgore. The why was simple, power, and control, but the who was still missing. Usually Dee could stay up for days, but that was before being turned into a skeleton monster. And before being thrown around the Multiverse. Now they randomly fall asleep, while that hurts the mission's over all time, it wasn't a big issue in the long run. Right now being invisible and up high there was no way Dee would be noticed. As they slipped back into the Kings Room, they were shocked to see Sans come into the room not ten minutes later. Asgore: -Coughs lightly- "I am glad you could come so suddenly." Sans: "No problem you Majesty, what did you need to talk to me about so urgently?" Asgore: "I heard the Mayor of Snowdin was killed. I wanted to know if that was true." Sans was stunned, but he looked down and told the king the truth. That the mayor of Snowdin was indeed killed by a small group or rioting monsters. Asgore: "I see... well then, I guess this means I should move up my decision then." Sans: "U-h, your decision?" Before Asgore even answered, he rung a bell 5 times calling the council into his chambers. Dee made note of each one, and secretly marked them all with shortcuts before the king began talking.

Asgore: "I have called you all in here with a matter of grave importance for the kingdom. From now on until such a time..." Before he could complete his thought he began coughing heavily. Sans instantly ran over and began to heal the king, Dee watching from his corner of the ceiling watched the council members very, very closely. After making note of the three most likely suspects, he waited for the kings news. Asgore: "I apologize, it would seem I maybe in worse condition then I had thought. All the more reason to rush my decision." With a deep breathe he continued his decree. Asgore: "From here on until such a time I am fit to rule, I here by appoint my most deeply trusted and dearest Friend and subject, Sans the Skeleton, the temporary King of Monsters." This decree caught Everyone off guard, the council members were in an uproar, as Sans stood there in complete shock. Before anyone could complain or interject Asgore bellowed out. Asgore: "THAT, IS, ENOUGH!! I realize you are all confused, but this is my decree! And should the time come that I am no longer able to carry out my duties, Sans will be the official King of Monsters. This is the Kings Orders, and I will hear nothing more about it! Begin to spread the news IMMEDIATELY!!" Silently and dutifully the council members bowed, then left the room leaving Sans and Asgore "alone".

Sans snapping back to reality screamed lightly before half yelling Sans: "Why wasn't I told about this?! And what in the Underground are you thinking making ME king?!" Asgore: "I know this is a shock to say the least, but you are the ONLY one I trust enough to do this. You'll make a great king Sans I know it." Sans: "Well I sure as hell don't share your enthusiasm! This is a terrible mistake waiting to happen!" Asgore: "Oh, really? Well let us ask our guest what they think." Sans: "Wait, what guest?" Asgore: "Come on out now, you will not be in any trouble." Dee was shocked, so shocked they simply did as asked and appeared in the room next to the bed. Dee: "How? I was... perfectly hidden wasn't I?" Asgore: "Indeed you were, but... I noticed you marking the council members. Us Royal Boss monsters are much more in tune with magic then others." Dee: "This, hurts my pride." Asgore laughed lightly before coughing again. Asgore: "You speak well for a child, I am very impressed." Dee sighed and handed Asgore a small pill. Dee: "I was going to have Frisk give you this, but if I delay it anymore you will die. This is an antidote to the poison you've been given, take it." Asgore looked at the pill then back at Dee, before Sans could oppose Asgore took the pill swallowing it down. Sans: "Asgore! You can't just believe everything monsters tell you!" Asgore sighed taking a deep breathe before sitting up. Asgore: "I can't believe it, I feel so much better already." Dee: "Don't over do it, that was only the first dose. ...Actually, here let me help you up." The next day everyone in the underground was shocked to learn that Asgore had died in his sleep the night before. Not only that, but Sans the Skeleton would be the next King as Asgore's final decree. The news spread very fast, from New Home to the Ruins news of Asgore's death circulated. In the Ruins Toriel was the most shocked to hear the news. Though she no longer loved him, their shared history left her in tears. Frisk and the others in the Ruins tried their best to comfort her, though Frisk did note something felt off. Toriel wiped her eyes and blow her nose lightly before asking what she meant. Frisk: "It seems off that Dee would just let Asgore die, there has to be something else going on." Toriel wiped the rest of her tears away and sat up in her chair. Toriel: "I agree, they are not the type to let something like that happen. But that leaves the question, what is going on?"

(Some where in the underground)

Dee: "🏚✔🕴⚫ 🛈🛲🌶 🏖🖇🕴 🛲🛈🗙🎁🛡🙾" ???: "I'm sorry? I don't..." Sans: "They said 'damn it, I'm tired' and honestly I feel ya kid I'm tired too. So I'm guessing the W.D stand for Web dings then?" Dee: "Hmm, y-yea, Web Dings Caster aka W.D. Caster aka Dee, only my friends call me Dee though." Sans: "Jeez kid you sound more tired then I do, why don't you get some rest?" Dee: "Can't yet, the mission isn't over..." It was obvious to everyone there that Dee was well past the point of exhaustion, but still they fought off the sleep to try and complete their mission. Before Dee could even stand properly, they gave out and was catch by sans. Sans: "Damn it kid, I get this is important, but you need rest. Go lay down and sleep, no one is going to find us here." At this point Dee couldn't even walk, they forced themselves to stay awake well past their maximum limit of 20 hours. Angry at them-self for being unable to stay awake for the usual four days due to their exposure to the waters. They had to be literally carried like a child to the awaiting bed. ???: "Are they okay?" Sans: "Yea, but being up for damn near two days, I don't know something feels off about them. Like their sick from something. They keep claiming they can usually stay up for a max of 4-5 days, but it's been 38 hours and they're damn near collapsing. Must be the universe hopping, it's got 'em sick or something." ???: "Are they going to be alright?" Sans: "Yea, they just need sleep is all." ???: "I hope they can get better fast, we may need them more then we know."
