izuku was still only in middle school. but after being bullied by bakugou and his friends , a little... mistake happened.

he took candy from a stranger. what he thought were weird mints, we're the drug ecstasy. the happy drug. he immediately felt like the world was amazing. he asked for more and more, falling into addiction. his addiction reduced his appetite, so he took pills for that too.

he skipped school, but when he did show up, he was higher than a plane. he giggled more, spoke quicker, often acting like nothing was wrong.

when he didn't have his ecstasy, he became a depressed sociopath, doing anything he could, even selling his body to get his next dose.

he hadn't had his dose for a week or so. he had become hysterical, hallucinating, talking to himself, staying up for hours and then passing out. his thoughts had become darker, a small voice screaming at him to kill himself. like bakugou used to.

it was the day he listened.

you hadn't heard from him in months, so you decided to visit the apartment  in which he "lived in". you knock, but there is no answer. you hurriedly open the unlocked door, calling for the boy. you receive no answer. you search for him, finding him in his room. he was collapsed on the floor, next to an empty bottle of pills labeled "ecstasy".

and a note.

as far as you could tell, he was still breathing.

but for how long?

how much could you say to him, what could you do?
