You lay in bed still.

No light coming from the room since you kept the windows closed.

You really didn't feel like getting up.

It was 11 am, looks like you slept too long.

You heard rain outside the window, a little bit of thunder too.

Definitely fitted your mood.

You look next to you and just realize this whole time, Cole wasn't even in bed or in the room.

He must have let you sleep.

He liked the way you slept.

You blushed at the thought of that.

The day after magic kingdom quickly ruined the mood.

Sure, you had your moments with Cole but Vilma,

Oh...Vilma.

Ruined it for you all.

She was so self centered and selfish.

Your mother now knew her true colors.

She bossed you guys around yesterday and kept arguing.

But you were sort of glad your mom stepped in to protect you and Lili when she started jumping on you both.

But then again, Lili was on her period so she was grumpy.

And when she got grumpy so did your mother.

It just really sucked.

Cole was the only person there yesterday that was bringing light into the small swarm of darkness forming.

You groan and just pull the covers over you.

Just then you heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" You said and the door opened.

"Hey Lauryn! Do you want to eat something?" Your mother asked.

"No I'm not hungry." You say with a frown.

"Are you sure?" She asked getting worried that it might be a depression thing.

"Yeah."

She nods, "Alright. Food in the fridge if you want." She says then gives you some space and leaves the room.

You continued to stay in bed. Not really thinking.

Around 3 pm you decided to finally drag yourself out of bed but you stayed in your pajamas.

You sorta, walked around the house all day.

You were just sad about how Vilma treated your mom.

You saw where everyone went though.

All the guys were playing pool in the pool table room, Lili must have left the house with your mother, and you really didn't care where vilma was.

You felt sort of hungry at some point so you went to the kitchen to see what you were in the mood for.

There was some leftover pizza from the other day so you put it in the microwave and watched it warm up.

"Hey! Look who's up!" You heard Cole enter the kitchen and open up the fridge.

"Yeah." You said with a frown folding your arms.

Cole took out a juice pack from the fridge then closed it.

"What's wrong princess?" He asked you sitting on the stool by island.

The pizza was done and you took it out of the microwave and closed the door.

"Nothing." You said walking away with your pizza and into the living room.

Cole followed behind you and you sat down on the couch.

"Are you sure it isn't something?"

"Cole I just..need a few more hours to myself."

He nods, "Alright. I'll be around if you need me."

Cole then walks back to the pool table room and leaves you alone.

You turn on the tv and eat your pizza.

After a couple hours walking around the house, drawing in your sketchbook and applying some makeup to distract you, around 7ish you head outside to the pool.

You sit on one of the chairs there and start playing the Finding Nemo theme on your phone.

You watched the sunset and how nice it looked.

It had stopped raining earlier but clouds were gathering back up, probably meaning another storm later.

But that was okay, the sky showed how you felt inside.

At that moment you felt...alone.

Even though your mother was inside to talk to, you didn't want to bother her.

Then accidentally you started to think about all the bad things that happened in your life.

You finally started to cry but silently.

Alone where no one would see you.

Why'd life have to be so cruel?

Why'd it have to happen to you?

Why do you even live?

All those thoughts just swarming around in your head.

You also started to feel a little...suicidal.

The pool was right in front of you, it'd be easy to drown.

"Why not?" You said to yourself and got up.

You went over to the edge of the pool but right before you could fall in face first, you were caught by Cole just before you could fall in.

"Woah, woah, Lauryn! What are you doing?!" He asks you.

You burst out crying and hug him.

"W-why didn't you let me die Cole! I was so close!"

"Too close! I don't want you to die! You still have a life ahead of you!"

"What life!? I have none left! My life is ruined!!!" You said continuing to cry.

"What's going on lauryn? There's more to it I can tell."

"......Lemme say how much I despise everyone who ripped my heart out of my chest and threw it into a blender."

"Jay, My Dad, Vilma, Kayla My ex best friend who's still my friend who has another best friend who is going to be coming with me on the church trip on the fifth!!!"

"Ha! Jay though! Who gives him the f**king right to just comment 'Where's the squad?' In the chat on Instagram. Well sorry we all left your sorry f**king ass!!!"

"F**K HIM I WANNA RIP HIS HEART OUT, MAKE HIM FEEL AND SEE HOW IT FEELS TO BE IN SO MUCH PAIN!! UGHH!!"

"AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON FINANCES! I HATE MONEY TOO! F**KING UGH!"

"KAYLA JUST LEAVES ME, MAEVE SAYS I SHOULDN'T BE DEPRESSED, NINA AND SILVIA LOOK AT ME LIKE I'M A F**KING ALIEN, JENNA HAS A MILLION OTHER FRIENDS AND SHE DOESN'T NEED ME!!"

"VILMA RUINED THE TRIP! RUINED MY DISNEY TRIP! EVERYTHING! SELFISH B*TCH! HOW DARE SHE! SHE KNEW! SHE F**KING KNEW WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH!! EVERYONE KNEW BUT THEY ALL DON'T F**KING CARE!"

You sobbed hard and probably loud too.

"They don't even give two sh*ts about me. Gotta love the world...just gotta love the world.."

At first, Cole didn't say anything but just rubbed your back as you cried.

It felt nice though because it helped after you let everything out.

"Well, first and foremost, I never liked Jay to begin with. From when you two met to when he broke up with you, heck even to this day! So yes. F**k Jay."

"But you can't let the thoughts of him get to you! And yeah, you've made some bad friendships. But you can't be friends with people who won't support you, who won't have your back. You can't...stay with people like that."

"And yeah, Vilma messed up the trip. But c'mon! Was the entire trip all that bad? We had fun with everyone else! Here in the pool, around the house, Walmart, even when it was just you and me in the park!"

"Laur, you gotta flip these situations around! There were some good out of them. Jay ruined your social life, but you met Mercy. You made bad friends here, but you met me. Vilma came along on the trip, but we all still had many fun moments here! See? You gotta think positive!" Cole looks at your tear stained face with a smile.

He was right as always, even though all those bad things happened, there really was some good that came with it.

He wiped your tears with his thumb then gave you a kiss on your forehead.

"Thank you Cole..you always seem to know how to help. You could have left...like everyone else did, but you didn't. Thank you." You say calming down a little.

"No problem. Just, don't try to drown yourself again, unless you're half mermaid and you can breathe underwater." He says and you slightly chuckle.

"I won't."

Just then the door slid open and your mom poked her head out.

"We're going out for a walk to the public pool, you guys should come with!" She said and you nod and give her a small smile.

"Yeah, we'll go."

She smiles then closes the door and you saw her walk away.

"Think a walk will take some thoughts off your mind?" Cole asks holding your hands.

"Yeah. I think it will."

"Good! Let's g-" Cole says but you interrupt him by giving him a kiss on his lips.

Apparently the term 'Kiss me better' was true.
