Prologue
There was once three kingdoms; Alexandrite, Painite, and Larimar. Realms that prosper through their knowledge, kindness, and power. Alexandrite was the biggest kingdom out of them all. Their territory vibrate with a whisper of magic, rare creatures bless their land, their people naturally glow as if being illuminated by their own personal light, and most of all they have limitless riches that couldn't be found in other kingdoms.
They work together as a whole. Alexandrite handles the strategic approach to keep the realms bountiful, Painite keeps the balance of peace and justice, and Larimar provides protection.
The realms live hand in hand for thousand of years but the King of Larimar wishes to change things. He wanted to conquer the riches and power that only Alexandrite could give. He went out of his way and search the lands for a witch that could help him end the sovereignty of Alexandrite.
With a chant of a spell bestowed by the witch and the vial that contain the sinister demon, Diablo, he galloped through the realms until he reached the palace of Alexandrite. The King and his family welcome him with complete trust but in there the King of Larimar fulfilled what he was asked to do to complete the spell that will ruin the biggest kingdom.
When the night falls he slayed the King and Queen of Alexandrite and when he was done he went to the princess room and dragged her into the chamber of her brother; the crown prince of Alexandrite. He made the princess sat into a chair and made her watch as he drained the blood of her brother with his blade that killed their parents. He collected a goblet-full of his blood and used it to paint a circle around the princess and then he placed the vial inside the circle with her before breaking it.
The small vial emitted a black thick smoke that grew bigger until the figure of the demon is visible. It then engulfed the frightened princess instantly, her eyes turning black and purple web began to appear on her skin. Outside the palace you could hear the screaming of the people as one by one their once light gray eyes became black and the glow surrounding them became nothing. The light of the people flash through the wind and flew towards the princess as if it's being absorbed by the dark smoke surrounding her, feeding.
That night was the fall of Alexandrite. The once bright kingdom became spiritless and dull, the land was stripped away with everything. Their greatness became just a memory and people avoid their realm because of fear of the darkness lurking around the cursed ruins of Alexandrite.
But sometimes you can hear the whisper of stories... that if you're brave enough to go behind the cursed ruins, you'll find the princess still waiting there to be freed from the demon living inside her.
"What's your name?"
I heard the soft voice of a woman and I can see her kind worried eyes looking at me. I can hear and see her but I couldn't answer her even if I want to. I couldn't even move my lips to tell her what she needed to know. Sa tabi niya ay may isang lalaki na siguro ay ilang taon ang tanda sa akin.
I can hear the sound of the siren near us, the loud voices of other people moving with urgency, and the smell of something burning.
I felt my body move as if I turned around kahit hindi ko naman naisip na gawin iyon. Because of that I got a wide and clear view of what's happening.
Near where I am standing I could see a car that looks like as if it rolled a couple of times. The back of the car is burning and few firefighters are trying to stop it. My eyes drop to the ground when I saw the familiar stuffed animal.
It was mine. It's the bunny stuff toy that my dad gave me.
My dad... and mommy... and Kuya Stephen.
"Hindi sila namatay sa aksidente. We saw gunshot wounds and by the looks of it it was done in a short distance."
"Someone made sure that they will not live."
"But the girl lived. Sa tingin mo nakita niya?" Napailing ang lalaki. "Napakabata pa para maiwan mag-isa."
Two police offers turned to me when they saw me watching. They lowered their voices and moved away from me and because of that I saw what's far behind them. They were trying to cover them but not before I saw the face of my brother... with a hole on his forehead.
I opened my mouth to scream but I couldn't find my voice. I continued looking at my family but my vision turned black as if someone is covering my eyes. I tried to move my hand to take out the covers but when I managed to make it move, I felt nothing on my face.
I just couldn't see... and slowly I couldn't hear too.
Until there was nothing.
Until I was nothing.
