Michael: Hey, Bryan. You're not too hurt are you?

Michael and Bryan Danielson are seen backstage after their match as Michael was worried about Bryan getting hurt after the bout. Bryan simply shook his head.

Bryan: Nope. Honestly, I never worked with a more safer wrestler like you before. You really took care of my well being, Mike.

Michael: Really? I mean, I hit you with moves that targeted your neck and shoulders.

Bryan: And I didn't feel much pain from those moves. I'm amazed you managed to hit some moves without any form of botch or mistake. I mean, you didn't have a lot of matches at this caliber before. Oh and the counters and reversals? Man are you sure you not wrestling behind our backs?

Michael: Pfft. What? No! I just train. I train in my free time from college. That's it.

Bryan: Alright then. I better go see Brie. I bet she's having a heart attack after seeing me go out there.

Michael: A wife worries for her man. It's natural.

Bryan: Yep. Anyway, I better get going. Good luck on match with Joe. Hope I didn't have you use most of your energy from ours.

Michael: I will. Take care, BD.

Bryan nods as he walks off. Michael watches him leave as he sat down and takes a sip of water. He looks at his phone and sees many tweets, praising his match with Danielson. Mike smiles as he sees so many claiming it to be a instant classic.

Soon, someone approached him as they sat down next to him.

Mercedes: Hey, Mike.

Michael: Oh, hey Merc.

Mercedes: What'cha doing?

Michael: Relaxing before my match with Joe. And looking on twitter. Oh hey, here's a tweet from ya. "Best Match of the Year, hands down. Truly Bad." Nice. I just liked and retweeted it

Mercedes: *smiles and laughs* You're so silly, Mike. *gets serious* But seriously. Are you sure you're gonna go through the match? What if you get injured?

Michael: Don't worry, Merc. I'll be fine. Plus I trust Joe. He would never put my safety in danger. Just like how I trusted Lita years ago. And look at me, now. No life long injuries and completely fine.

Mercedes: True. Plus, you're always one to do the hard work, even if you get tired. But still...that match with Daniel was like putting you through a meat grinder.

Michael: Yeah. But, hey. I'll do my best and even if it would be short, it would be a great match. Like I said, not my first rodeo.

Mercedes: Okay. I trust you, Mike. Just make sure if you had enough, let Joe and the ref know so they can call an audible.

Michael: I will. Don't worry, Merc.

Mercedes: Okay. Also...I don't know if I should ask...but are you actually wrestling? Because in that match with Daniel, you had have to be experienced to do those kinds of counters.

Michael: Well...I can't say at the moment. I'm not ready, Merc.

Mercedes: What?

Michael: ...*sighs* Please don't tell anyone. Not mom, dad, gramps, Ashley. Anyone. Promise?

Mercedes: Okay, I promise.

Michael: *sighs* Yes. I am wrestling outside of WWE.

Mercedes was shocked by this. It would explain the fact he's very skilled and experienced. But it's shocked her how no one knows about this.

Mercedes: Really? Does anyone know?

Michael: Only you. And some of my friends in High School and College. They help cover for me.

Mercedes: Michael, that's crazy. How long have you been wrestling?

Michael: Two years.

Mercedes: Since you were 16?!

Michael: Yeah. But, I didn't want anyone to know about the Son of Triple H and Stephanie is working for these outside promotions, so I had to put on a mask and different identity. Only the people booking to promotions know my real identity, but I threatened to sue them and shut down their promotions down if they leaked it.

Mercedes: Damn. That's something I don't expect coming from you, Mike.

Michael: Yeah. Not proud of it, but had no choice.

Mercedes: Still you need to tell your family about it.

Michael: I will, Merc. Just...not at the moment.

Mercedes: Okay. I'm not gonna force you or anything, just wanted you to know you need to tell them. When and where is up to you. Until then, I'll keep my mouth shut.

Michael: Thank you, Merc. And I promise, I will tell them.

Mercedes nods as they continue talking.

*later*

The match between Roman Reigns and Michael McMahon for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship is set. Many believe that had Seth not been injured, tonight's main event would've been a Title Defense Match.

Soon, Roman and Michael are seen in the ring as Michael does look rested, but still looked a hit fatigue from his match with Daniel Bryan earlier. Soon, the ref shows the the World Heavyweight Championship but as he showed it to Michael, the crowd instantly popped as this was the title they wanted Michael to carry.

Michael smiles as the ref brings the title up for the crowd to see before passing it to the time keeper. The bell rings as Reigns and McMahon get ready.

This, much like Mike's match with Bryan, is the first time the Big Dog and Bad Prince face each other in a match, but the crowd knew it wouldn't be as great as it could be due to Michael going through an earlier match.

Soon, the fight begins as Michael and Roman go up to each other and traded blows. Soon, Reigns backs Michael into the corner and hits a Biel Toss on Michael. Michael yells out as rolls to the lower turnbuckle.

Soon, Roman approaches him and brings him up. He then went for another biel, but Michael counters with a Belly to Belly Suplex, sending Roman across the ring.

Michael gets up as the crowd cheers for him. He approaches a rising Roman Reigns before punching him in the face. He starts hitting more strikes as the ref counts before backs away. He then went for an Irish Whip, but Roman countered and sends him to the corner.

Reigns charges but Michael got out of the corner and Roman stops, then gets kick to the head by Michael. Roman steps back as Michael climbs to the top rope and measures Roman. He went for a dive bur Roman counters with a Big Boot.

Roman starts wear down Michael by choking him with his boot against the ropes. He steps back as Michael slowly got up by using the ropes. He then starts getting punched by Roman before Reigns went for a running move. But Michael stops him with a Running Back Elbow.

Michael gets up as brings Roman back in his feet. Roman went a punch, but Michael blocks and starts nailing Reigns with forearms to the head, before running to the ropes.

But he gets caught by a Clothesline by Roman, sending him down. Roman then brings Michael up and sets him to the corner as starts hitting multiple clothesline to Michael.

He stops as Michael collapses to the lower rope. Roman sees this as he exists as he exits the ring and readies himself. He went for the Drive By, but Michael got out of the way and knees Roman's rips, making him fall down at ringisde.

Michael exits the ring and stands on the apron. He measures Roman and runs, hitting a Dropkick onto Roman, sending him back first against the barricade.

The crowd yells as Michael rests on the floor for a bit before getting up. He approaches Roman and presses his knee against his throat on the barricade. after holding him there for 20 seconds, Michael steps back. He enters and exits the ring to restart the count. As he approaches Roman, a fan yelled.

Fan: Come on, Mike! Kick his ass!

Michael laughs while giving a thumbs up, as the fans cheered at that. Mike brings Roman up, but gets shoved against ring post. Roman continues to strike at Michael before grabbing him and sends him back first onto the barricade.

He does it again on the apron before sending Michael back inside. Roman enters the ring as he brings Michael up and hits a Back Suplex Side Slam. He went for the pin, but Michael kicks out.

Roman sighs as he then applies a choke hold on Michael. Fans were dreading this as the hold would surely wear Michael's already fatigued body down. Michael gasps as Roman tightens the hold. But as he drops down, Michael uses the moment to roll Roman up. The ref counts as Roman kicks out.

Both men got up as Michael kicks Roman in the gut and places him between his legs. He lifts Roman up, managing to bring the 280 pound Big Dog up and hitting a-

The crowd yelled in shock as Michael hit a Jackknife Powerbomb on Roman Reigns. Michael goes for the cover, but Reigns kicks out. Michael sighs as he gets up, only to stumble a bit. He straightens himself up as he goes to the corner.

He measures Reigns as he slowly gets up. Michael runs and went for a Forearm Smash, but Roman counters with a Samoan Drop. He wasn't done as he grabs Michael and deadlifts him off the mat into a Powerbomb.

Roman goes for the cover.

Ref: 1, 2-

Michael kicks out. The crowd's standing on their feet on edge as Roman was shocked by this. How did Michael kick out after two big moves?

Roman gets up as he stares down at Michael. He then steps as he measures on. Michael slowly gets as Roman gets ready. Roman goes for the Superman Punch, but-

The crowd pops as Michael hits a Sit out Spinebuster. he then gets up as he climbs to the top rope. Michael then flips and hits a Moonsault onto Roman Reigns.

Michael goes for the cover.

Ref: 1, 2-

Roman kicks out, the crowd was in shock. Now's Michael's turn to look in shock after hitting two big moves on Roman.

*five minutes later*

After more power moves, strikes, and submission holds, Michael and Roman are seen trading blows at each other, trying to take either man down. Michael's fatigue was very noticeable as his legs was visibly wobbling as he tries to stand. The match has been nearly 10 minutes and yet he's still able to stand.

Roman starts hitting multiple strikes on Michael before running to the ropes. He went for a Superman Punch, but Michael caught him with a kick, followed by a Buzzsaw Kick, then a thrust kick.

Michael then grabs Roman and hits Dynasty, and the crowd was cheering loudly.

MC: Dynasty! Michael's going for the pin!

Jerry: He's gonna do it! He's gonna win the Title!

Michael crawls to Roman and covers him. The ref counts. Along him was the fans as they look on in intensity.

Ref: One!

Crowd: One!

Ref: Two!

Crowd: Two!

Ref: Thre-

Crowd: Thre-

Roman kicks out.

The crowd was in disbelief.

MC: ROMAN KICKED OUT!

JBL: HOW?! No one has ever kicked out of Dynasty!

Michael was too tired to even react to this. He collapses down on his back as he looks up at the ceiling and wonders what he needs to do to win. Soon, he slowly rises up, but nearly fall down as the fatigue was getting to him. Michael shook it off as he tries to get up, but fell on his knees again. The crowd was now worried for him as he looks too tired even stand.

Suddenly, a young fan shouted.

Young fan: Here, Michael!

Soon, a water bottle was tossed at the apron. The crowd pops as Michael looks at the bottle and takes it. He took a sip, then spits some out to keep him refreshed and pouring the rest on his head. He then stands up as he gets out of the ring. Michael goes up to the young fan and hits him his jacket, getting a cheer from the crowd.

Michael: Thanks, bud.

Michael soon reenters the ring as he looked refreshed, though not at 100%. Michael is seen measures Roman as he gets ready to to hit one more strike. Roman finally got up as Michael went for the thrust kick, but Roman ducks under it and hits Michael with a Superman Punch.

Michael was left stunned as Roman runs and hits a Spear. Roman goes for the cover.

Ref: One, Two, Thre-

Michael got the shoulder up. The arena went insane as Roman was in pure disbelief.

Jerry: What?! HOW?!

MC: Michael kicked out! He got the shoulder up!

Michael's hurt, tired, and could barely stand and fight back, yet he's able to continue. Roman looks at the ref before collapsing down. Soon, he gets up as he looks down at Michael. This young man has been through a lot, yet he's still going strong.

Soon, Roman steps back gets ready to hit another Spear. Michael slowly got up as Roman went for the Spear but Michael hits a Knee Strike, stopping him. Michael then sends him to the ropes and went for a Thrust kick, but Roman got out of the way.

Roman went for the Superman Punch, but Michael caught him and went for a Uranage. Roman counters as he went for a Lariat. Michael ducks under it and hits a Springboard. He bounces back, but Roman hits the Spear in mid air and went for the cover.

Ref: 1, 2, 3!

the bell rings as the crowd was going crazy. Roman's theme plays as he lays on top of Michael.

Lillian: Here's your winner and the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns!

Roman soon got up as the referee passes him the WHC. Roman looks on as he raises it up for the crowd. The fans gave a mixed reaction, though are happy to see Roman win after a intense match. Roman soon goes up to Michael and helps him up. Michael managed to regain some strength on his legs and stands up.

Roman: You did great, kid. Tonight, you're the real star of the show.

Michael gave a tired smile as both men hugged, getting a pop from the crowd. The ref passes the US Championship to Michael as both Mike and Roman pose with their titles while holding each other's arms up in respect.

Soon, Michael leaves the ring as he leaves Roman to celebrate his victory. During this, Michael's body began to grow tired as stumbles a bit. Soon, Team BAD's Sasha, Naomi, and Tamina, got out and helped him to reach the backstage area.

*backstage*

Soon, Michael finally passes out from exhaustion as the superstars help him to the medical center. Everyone was worried as this was the hardest Michael ever worked and it was a miracle he didn't pass out in the ring.

After nearly an hour of rest, Michael regained consciousness as Paul and Stephanie personally took him the hotel he's was residing him so he could fully rest. They stayed with him as they didn't want their son to be alone. It reminded them of how he almost passed out after his match with Lita years ago.

However, fans on social didn't stop praising Michael's work in the match as he was as able to have two matches on the same night and going through so much pain and fatigue, yet he was able to stand and continue to wrestle.

Now, it is clear that Michael's path to being World Champion is gonna happen. First it was his return, his aid to Daniel Bryan, hosting WrestleMania, having his first match in years, defeating John Cena for the US Title, and now having two great matches at Survivor Series for the US and World Heavyweight Championships.

The whole Roman push is still here but since Daniel main evented Mania and Roman is more fleshed out, thanks to Michael, he's getting cheered.
