"Mess up again and I'll make sure to decapitate you right here right now."
The threat hung loosely to the six of the males who participated in an activity. Slowly the one who had been said nasty words to lifted the metal piece on the table and moved it exactly five inches to the left. He looked to the female who had posed him danger then moved his hand from the object that stayed in place. She took her long brown hair and pushed it away from her face.
"This is far too intense for a board game."
"It's what makes it fun."
Jimin could very much disagree with that. If a gun laid in front of him as he made his move, he wouldn't be enjoying himself much. Jiho was looking down down with a grin only the younger could see. Something was coming and he wasn't sure if he wanted to stay to watch it. Jimin pushed his leg slowly to the edge of the couch but before it could dangle a hand held it in place.
"Wait for it." Said Yoongi.
In fact Jimin didn't want to "wait for it", whatever "it" was. Enough bad news had been delivered that evening and quite frankly he didn't want to stay see something bad play out. The six men that played with the single woman should be the ones to endure the incoming wrath, not Jimin. Fights had already broken out between the players, verbally ones only and they had been gruesome.
"Wait!" Yelled out Jin.
All eyes turned to his which scanned the board suspiciously. He then looked to each and everyone of the players until his eyes landed on who was not guilty.
"You!"
Jaehyo's eyes widened, his hands flew up in a defensive stance. What happened next was complete choas. Screams broke out from two that protected the man from the acusations of the other. Then those who didn't agree fought back until finally they were screaming and some even shoving each other. Jimin looked to Yoongi who sat across of the sofa. The man was watching with a grin of enjoyment. He urged for the man to do something and he did but it wasn't what Jimin expected.
"V!"
A knife flew across the room.
Then another.
Jimin ducked his head for it was behind him where the weapons came from. The owners of the voices ducked down to the floor urging for the object to stopped being aimed in their direction. However it seemed it wasn't going to happen so Jimin took a peak at who was throwing them. Taehyung, with a smile on his face, aimed the knives he threw close to the heads of the fighters. He looked to the Yoongi amazed by what he was seeing. The man raised his hand and it stopped.
"Fight again and it'll be bullets next time."
The seven settled down, they said nothing in return to the man they seem to fear at the moment. Jimin had expected some to fight back with curses or some sort of a threat to the action but considering they were all intoxicated, they knew it wasn't the best idea.
Yoongi rose from his spot, he stopped in front of Jimin.
"There's something I want to show you, come with me."
The boy looked at the hand being stretch out to him then to the man it belonged to. Lately they had been getting along well. Their last incident was not major but it was definitely replaying in Jimin's head at the moment. It was only when Taehyung said he'd come along too that he agreed. The three headed to the vehicle which took them to the junkyard. They entered together but didn't make it to their final stop all together.
"Boy was here earlier, kinda lost a few so he went to look for them. Don't worry I promise not to be a jerk this time."
Jimin really hoped what he said was true because this was the first time in a long time they had been without the company of another soul. Yoongi let the boy wander about the yard as he went to pull the switches of the lights. The junkyard was lighted as Jimin went through the maze of the unwanted. New things had been added he noticed. Somethings didn't look like they belonged there, like a kid's electronic car. He reached for it but before he could touch it, a spark appeared. It was a second later that a bang reached Jimin's ear's that he noticed it was a bullet. His eyes looked behind him but then he realized it hadn't come from ground level.
A sniper was pointed in his direction from the rooftop of the building and joining it was it's owner.
"It's mine!" Yelled Jungkook.
The seventeen year old rolled his eyes. The soon to be sixteen year old had just tried to shoot him for laying hands on a toy for a child, unbelievable.
He looked around the new things, they had already been impaled with something. A knife in some and bullet holes others.
"I found it doll."
Yoongi joined his side with what was a gun in hand. It was new, or so the shine of it made it look like so. Jimin took hold of the beauty to feel it's lovely surface. It had also been awhile since he'd held a gun in his hand. The weapon of destruction looked so admirable in his eyes that others would be frightened to know so.
"Where'd you get it?"
"Don't you recongize it?"
Jimin furrowed his brows and looked to the elder. "No, I don't."
Yoongi took the gun back and held it up to display it to those who could see it. Jungkook yelled out a word praising the weapon before asking them to take it down. They did just in time too, a bullet flew right between them and into the backseat of a broken car. Jimin was still failing to find where he had seen the gun before. Yoongi helped him out.
"The first one you ever shot." He handed it back to him. "I had Jooheon give it to me."
It was then that Jimin finally realized the gun had been in his hands before. It felt much different from the first time, it wasn't foreign. The gun was an old friend which he reunited with.
"Thank you but...it didn't cost too much did it?" Jimin asked fearfully. He was aware that weapons like those were the cheapest.
Yoongi shook his head. "Nothing at all doll. I guess you can say I traded in a favor."
After the claim smiles followed. Jimin thanked the man. He was going to miss him even if he didn't admit it to him or himself. He aimed the gun to the seat Jungkook's bullet had hit but missed. It was the first time he had not peirce that bullet where he wanted it. He didn't give up. Again and again Jimin tried until finally he was out of bullets.
"What's bothering you?"
The boy shook his head and stared into the spot of cushion he could not shoot. It was fustrating but it was even more to admit there was something bothering him.
"Tell me or I'll tickle it out of you."
Jimin frowned. "No tickles please."
"Then tell me doll."
The boy sighed, he had been caught. Being founded it out was better than being under the mercy of Yoongi's fingers on his sides so he came clean. All that his father had said to him he told the man. By the end of it they were both on the floor, looking to the star in the sky.
"Seems to me like he just wants you out of the house."
That was probably true.
"He says it's to make up to her for what I did, I guess he's right."
Mr.Park, along with the agreement of his wife, decided that his children should spend the summer away at their aunt's. The single mother of twin boys could use some help while they were out of school. He claimed it to be the most they could do to make up for her bad time spent with them and so the boys had no choice but to agree. The Park brothers would be spending the summer at Aunt Jiae's. Jimin would first go to the math tournament then meet his brother at the home.
"But you'll be back right?"
Jimin nodded his head. "That's the plan."
"Then there's no reason to be upset. We'll be here waiting for you to return and if you don't we'll come for you."
The statement made the younger boy smile. It was reassuring to hear his return was expected and waited for. He was like the single star that hung in the sky that night. The star may seem alone but it was surrounded by others like it, you just can't see them.
"No one gets left behind or forgotten remember?"
"I remember."
