Song: [The Way We Were – Nicode]

                The flowers fell on her pretty face. I knew she was beautiful, possibly even more beautiful than I am, but I do not care, for she is my best friend. Iris, the young nun from the nearby parish, was undeniably more beautiful than me. I did not even notice that I was staring at her in her beautiful blue dress until I heard her speak.

“Why are you staring?” she spoke, her voice as soft as an angel’s, to which I simply waved my head.

“I think you’re beautiful. That’s why.” I replied, not noticing that I had made a floral headdress using the flowers that had fallen on her face. I put it above on top of her head, surprising her.

“Oh! Thank you princess… but I do believe it doesn’t suit me. It will be better atop your crown instead of mine, Princess Rosabel.” she protested, giving me back the headdress, but I again waved my head. This is our last day together. I may as well give you something to remember me by.

I gave her back the headdress and watched as her guardians called to her.

“Looks like we’re leaving. Goodbye, Princess Rosabel.“ she said, a tear falling from her eye.

“Goodbye, Sister Iris. We will meet again soon.” I replied, just as saddened as her.

I watched as her guardians lead her back to her carriage and back to her kingdom, her pet cat following her the whole way through.

I call my pet mandora and walk back into the castle.
